Soft white snow crunched beneath his heeled boots as the white haired boy made his way through the park towards the old main street of Destiny City. Home to a variety of antique and food shops, Noel had figured it would be a prime spot for a youma to be unleashed on the unsuspecting denizens of Destiny City. Snow flurries continued to fall and further paint the once multi-colored city a soft white. The time of day was hardly distinguishable since the sky remained a haze of snowflakes and snow flurries. Some would be forced in, almost to the point of hibernation.
However, this didn't apply to Boreas one bit. This was his season! This was his Indian Summer. Thanks to his natural ability, the cold air was refreshing and he was exempt from the harshness of the season. Usually less obvious, he was riding on the fact that most wouldn't notice or be able to distinguish his appearance. However, this didn't stop the few remaining civilians from giving him a strange second glance.
Leaving the stares behind, he came to the center of the park. An untouched spot, that was densely covered in snow.
"Perfect place to corner a youma!"
Boreas could never let his mind stray too far from battle. He desperately needed to start raising his guard a bit more. Though this was truly unlikely given his eagerness to destroy anything that threatened a starseed.

Sailor Scylla had the sniffles. With the sniffles, one was most certainly not supposed to go out into the cold, which was- incidentally- ******** cold. Yet here she was, in her short-skirted sailor suit, with plain white flannel pants on over her boots, and a plush burberry coat on over the rest of her fuku to insulate from the cold. Her tiara stood out proudly on her head, and her ears were decorated by bright red earmuffs.
She didn't match.
No one she knew would recognize her.
She was standing in the middle of the park, where she knew to be a common deathtrap, stamping her feet and turning in a circle. Which was why the other senshi's voice came as such a surprise to her, and she twirled to see a male Scout who was almost familiar to her. It was as though she'd seen him before in a dream, which in fact, had been the case. Why hadn't she seen him at the last senshi meeting? Had she been so out of it? Did that mean that others from that dream- aside from Howl, who she had always felt was an odd boy for her to dream of- had all been real as well?
"Bo...reas?" she said finally, hesitantly. If it wasn't his name, she could always claim she'd mistaken him for someone else.

Small mounds of snow and bare branches were the only thing the senshi of winter could see.
"Did someone just call my name? Hello? Anyone there?"
He was so sure he had found a place devoid of civilians. As brash as he was, he still wasn't willing to risk innocent people. While his first scan of the area had been mostly fruitless, mainly because scan was a generous term for when he really just did a quick look. However, this time, he took more than three seconds to check the center of the park.
"Oh!"
Bright red winter clothing caught his eye against the plethora of white and dark brown. While at first he thought the clothing meant the girl was a civilian, the tiara and fuku lead him to realize she was a senshi as well or at least she dressed like one.
"Hey! Are you a senshi?"
He waved an arm and gave her a grin. Boreas was never one to meet a stranger and if she was a senshi that meant she couldn't be too hard to be around. During this initial realization, a odd feeling set in. Something felt familiar about her attire, especially the golden brooch. He knew her from somewhere, he just couldn't place his finger on it.

Yes, someone had called his name, and a brief flash of mild exasperation crossed Scylla's face when the other senshi spun in a circle as though he'd missed her. She did suppose it was possible, though her ego did so burn at the thought of being ignored. "Yes, I am a senshi." she said finally, patting her warmly-clad legs. "It is just cold out, so I slid on some civilian clothes so I don't keep the flu." She was mostly over her sniffles, after all, them having passed by as quickly as most her other illnesses.
"Sailor Scylla." she said after a moment, looking him over with a frown. He looked like the Boreas she had dreamed of, but not; there was something... different. "I am senshi of the Kraken." She placed a gloved hand on the golden brooch. "I think we... met once? Are you Boreas?" What an odd coincidence, wasn't it?

"It's great to meet you ... again! I guess this weather isn't for everyone."
He played off his uncertainty about their first meeting with a laugh. Boreas had seen her before. He was sure of that. However, it felt like he knew her from some kind of dream. Something lost and buried in the back of his mind. However the two had become acquainted, he couldn't help, but to feel like they were kindred spirits.
"While you may not take kindly to the cold temperatures, you can't say this snow isn't fun! What do you say? Snowball fight?"
He may have been done up in magic attire, but didn't mean that Boreas didn't possess that same playful spirit as Noel. Swimming practice was finally over for a few weeks and he wanted to enjoy his season for as long as possible. Though in all honesty, his antics teetered on the edge of irresponsible and somewhat childish.

Scylla shook her head furiously, snow flying off of the dark curls. "No, this weather isn't for everyone. I can't imagine why you're not half-frozen!" She rubbed her gloved hands up her coat-covered arms, and startled when he asked for... a snowball fight? Was this boy out of his mind? It had to be close to... but man... a snowball fight did sound fun. Her sudden sneeze made her scowl. She would not be laid low by a common cold! "As long as your promise there will be hot cocoa involved afterward," she said, tugging out her senshi-phone briefly and pointing it at him gleefully, "Then snow-fight we shall. I'm cold."
That might warm her up.
The first 'snowball' came from the puffs of soft powder on the ground right next to her, as she scooped some up and flung it at him, without stopping to actually pack it into a ball.

"Hot cocoa huh? I think we can manage that after I kick your butt in this snowball fight. I mean, you are going to need some kind of consolation prize!"
No sooner had the words left his mouth when the snowball smacked him right in the face. With his chain link gloves, he removed what he could from his eyes and the small bits of that had gotten trapped in his tiara. Sinking low to the ground, he quickly packed a handful of snow into a medium sized ball of snow. Boreas wasn't sure where to aim at first, but then decided to go easy on her in the beginning. After all, she was sick. Rising to his feet, he ran in a circle around her before tossing the snowball in her direction. He wasn't sure it would hit, but at least he caused a minor distraction.
"Bet you didn't see that one coming!"
Using this snowball fight as a way to ease into getting to know the familiar senshi a bit better. He was also very curious as to how they had first met. He knew she wasn't lying, but he still couldn't put his finger on it.
"I'm Sailor Boreas, Senshi of Winter. This is my favorite time of the year and I guess the main reason why I am not freezing my a** off! Seems like we've said this all before though, or at least something similar. You know?"

She laughed, delighted as a child, when the snowball hit Boreas in the face. "I won't lose!" she swore to him. "And the cocoa is loser's treat!" He ran in a circle around her and she spun with him, trying to collect the white fall with one booted foot, for easier collection. Her face was flushing, quickly, with sheer childlike joy. When was the last time Jada had played in the snow, in the open, with so much freedom? Probably when she was a child, certainly no older than Zora and Kayley were now.
The snowball smacking into her shoulder startled her out of thoughtfulness and dragged her attention back to the boy who was circling her. "You bet right!" she called back, and bent down to pack another snowball into her hands. "And I'll get you for it, Senshi of Winter!" How lucky. He wasn't cold as she was. "You don't happen to have your warmth in bubble form, do you? Because it is the season to share." she was teasing him. "I am Scylla, Senshi of the Kraken."
She threw her snowball at him, aiming for his chest. You didn't want to hit anyone in the face too many times, ever. "If it seems like we've said this all before, it is because we have." She knew it now. After Alexandros had died, and his 'Helen' that she had never gotten the chance to meet, she'd gotten a brief, terse lowdown from Laocoon on waking. The story he had told her had been hard to believe, and she'd attributed some of the fancifulness to how hard he was obviously taking the loss of his Prince. And why had she done that, she wondered now. She lived in a world of talking cats, monsters and people who held power that was beyond anything she'd dreamed of. "I'll tell you over my cocoa."

Curiosity caused Boreas to want to implore further into the matter. He wasn't one to wait, always the first to jump the gun, so her mysterious words caused him to lose focus in the middle of their snowball fight. Yet again, he was hit by the clump of snow. Thankfully this time though, it wasn't in his face and just hit his right side as he was turning to run another lap around his opponent. This didn't alarm him in the slightest, the glee he experienced just from letting loose was more than enough to make up for any amount of damage the snowballs might have caused.
"We'll just have to make this a quick war then!"
However, as he was about to reach down and clump together another pile of snow, he felt something slither against the side of his foot. Their game had rearranged the mounds of snow and whatever had been hiding in wait was unearthed. He would have brushed it off as a displaced garden snake, but he couldn't shake the feeling that it was something more sinister. Boreas loved and hated this feeling. The feeling of a youma, the coming battle, and the constant gamble that came with each fight. Quickly he motioned to Scylla to press pause on their game. Pointing down at the barely noticeable moving mound of snow, he tried to speak as quietly as possible.
"I don't think----"
The blue eyed boy's words were cut short as what initially felt like a garden variety snake turned into a giant sized youma. The creature's head lurched out from the largest mound of snow, it's dark brown body and red rings contrasted heavily with the pure white snow. What had appeared as various mounds of snow, collected over the winter storm, were actually the different segments of the youma's body. It's large proportions were quickly coiled together though as it had been awaken from it's winter hibernation. While the sinister purple eyes that followed the huge coiled body may have seemed an impossible feat, the shivering and agitation revealed the creature's weakness: it was not at all suited for the cold. Displaced and Agitated, it made a snapping motion at the two senshi.
"Well, looks like we are going to get more than just a snowball fight today! Are you ready for a quick fight before drinks Scylla?"
Motioning his body into a more offensive stance. He poised himself to set up his Blizzard Blast attack.

A quick war? Hah! A quick defeat for Boreas! Jada bent down, determined to win this. She wasn't paying much attention to the surroundings, and was about to laugh at him for being silly when she noticed that he was frozen. She pulled back her hand to launch the snowball, when she noticed that he had motioned to her, mouthing something she could barely hear. What? She leaned forward, glancing toward where he was pointing. Was it a per-
"KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" came her shriek, girly and high-pitched; a brown and red snake launched its head from the snow, and the senshi became aware of what her companion so recently had himself: they had been playing agonizingly close to a huge snake. For Sailor Scylla, a 'huge snake' consisted of anything a) visible; b) alive; c) visible. Movies like Anaconda were called out as terrible things that wwere 'totally going to happen!' and stories about constrictors strangling little kids and snakes eating crocodiles were all proof that the things were terrible monsters that were just nasty, and you totally deserved it if you had a snake that big!
She kept whimpering after her brief shriek died down, most especially as the agitated snake snapped at them; in her panic, Scylla unleashed the snowball that she had been forming at the reptile. She would have scooted closer to Boreas, her closest visible protection, but he was closer to the snake than she was. Better target. Regardless of the fact she'd just attacked it on an instinct born of terror.

Scylla's scream frightened Boreas ten times more than the giant snake that was breathing down his neck. He nearly fell over in shock when the high pitched shriek came at him from behind. Shaking off the goosebumps that had arisen from the other senshi's unexpected reaction, he resumed his battle stance.
"Alrighty then, guess I'll take the reins on this one!"
Boreas had figured with his seasonal advantage and her status as a super senshi, they were pretty much invincible. Especially if a youma attacked. However, he had not anticipated that the form of the youma would have any impact on the outcome. However, these new facts didn't deter the senshi of winter. Optimism was his thing and this overgrown garden hose wasn't about to take that from him.
"I'll distract him with an attack and then you go in for the kill! No fuss, no muss!"
Whatever level of comprehension the giant snake possessed when it came to human language was debatable. Most of it's higher mental capabilities seemed blocked from the extremely cold weather and the fact that the creature had nearly been frozen solid from hiding in the mounds of snow that had collected in the park. It coiled its body closer together and tried to appear more sinister by continuing to push the two senshi back by making quick biting motions at them. The creature didn't have any teeth and its only true offensive ability was to swallow smaller creatures whole. However, this wasn't really an advantage given its huge body.
"Follow my lead! Blizzard Blast!"
Running up as close as he could get while still dodging the youma's attacks. Boreas formed a ice blue spiral of chilled air around his tightened fist. The attack was very effective in the chilly weather and he intended to use his ability to its full potential as he punched a coiled section of the reptilian youma's body. A small patch of frost remaining after Sailor Boreas threw hid body back after the attack landed.

"Y- you do that!" Boreas' calm, even in the face of a M.F. snake on Scylla's M.F. plane (of existence) Yes, he could certainly take the reins. He could take the whole battle, if he wanted. She could do just fine safely over here. Away from that thing. That was bigger than she was. Much bigger. Or he could distract. Or she could- what? Go in for the kill?!
It took half a second of panicking before she realized she wouldn't really have to even get close to the thing. Unlike Boreas, who was flinging himself toward the snake with an almost reckless abandon. Follow his lead? Oh hell no! She remained stubbornly away, until he punched the snake. Punched. Like... Like someone who didn't have anything better to do with his life than get his head bit off by a massive, gnashing youma.
Still, a coward she would not get the reputation for being. Where the snake was frozen by Boreas' punch, she focused her attention, crying out "Scylla's HUNGER!" Limbs rose from the ground on each side of the snake, crashing down on the frozen parts of it like they would the wooden mast of a ship. Hopefully, her coworker wouldn't get in the way.

Pain caused the youma to react even more violently. As a cold blooded creature, Boreas' frozen punch only caused it's weaken body to weaken further. Even though the giant snake was a creation of the twisted minds of the Negaverse, the beast's body was incredibly similar to a regular snake. Coiling and tightening it's body proved fruitless in the face of the winter storm. Blizzard Blast had failed to stop the beast, but did aid in slowing it down. The lower end of the giant snake's body was beginning to shut down and the youma had lost all feeling and control of the lower extremity of its body. However, as it snapped it's humongous jaws at the solider of winter, it quickly became ensnared in Scylla's Hunger. Spiked tentacles pierced every section of it's coiled body. Bunching itself up had proven to be a huge misstep as Boreas had successfully kept the youma busy long enough to provide Scylla with the opening she needed. Now, the tag team strategy had greatly reduced the creature's movement and health, the beast only required a few more hits to be fully destroyed. However, as it lost the feeling in its tail and lower sections, the youma started to quicken its goal to swallow both senshi whole.
"Great job! I knew you could do it! I think we really pissed this one off."
Boreas chuckled at the effectiveness of their combined attack. While the youma obviously still had some fight left in him, the blue eyed senshi couldn't help, but to feel a victory coming on. He couldn't wait to tell ********* and Iris about the size of this one and how quickly the two of them had been able to take it down.
Rising back into his battle stance, he readied his final assualt. He carefully looked around to see if there was anything strong enough to supplement his attack. The beast certainly wouldn't fall to just chilled air, he was going to need a little extra power to fully eradicate this overgrown garden snake. Thankfully, the frozen tree limbs hanging just above the beast's head would do quite well.
"I'm going to knock those tree limbs above it's head down with my next attack, do you think you can finish it off after it's knocked out?"

Such a positive thinker, Boreas was. Scylla was torn between fight or flight instincts, even now; she had no interest in getting swallowed. Still, it was interesting how utterly infectious the other senshi's confidence was... and so long as he was the one in front... She rubbed white-gloved hands along her arms and nodded along with him. What a silly goose, she realized half a second later. Boreas couldn't see her. Underneath the tentacles, the snake was moving, grinding, bunching as though to try and tear himself free. If she was able to hold this one down, she wondered- and she was, admirably so- why hadn't she been able to hold onto Anaximander, that one nega's personal youma? That was an interesting question, and one she would worry about in greater detail later. Much later. Like after this snake had been smote to death kind of later.
She shuddered, letting out a breath. "Yeah, Boreas." She agreed, and the limbs that were wrapping their way around the snake crushed tighter, fighting to keep it from lunging forward and wrapping its mouth around the other senshi's head, or something crazy like that. "I think if you knock it out, I can kill it." Unconscious it wouldn't be fighting, or struggling, and she could just have her Kraken squeeze, or something. If nothing else would work, she could always try something new, like having her arms uproot that tree Boreas was sbout to use and impaling the snake in the head with it.
... Now, why had she never thought of using the terrain as a weapon before?

Using his last lifeline, he readied his final attack. Blizzard blast would have to work wonders this time around. He wasn't just trying to punch a target, but make sure the punch packed enough of a wallop that is dislodged more than a few tree branches. However, this didn't deter him, it only excited him. The stakes had been raised and he was ready to roll the dice one more time. With a deep breathe, he broke out into a sprint and made a dash for the frozen tree trunk. Each step he tightened his fist more in order to hit the side of the trunk as hard as he could.
"Blizzard Blast!"
Slamming the chilled air into the side of the tree along with the rest of his body, fist first, he was successful in knocking three large, snow-covered branches down onto the snake's head. The next few seconds were filled with tension. Each branch had made a hard hit on the youma's head, but had the attack only momentarily stopped the suction attack or was his plan actually a success?
"Go, go, go! Tear this side show attraction apart! I want to be able to make a whole line of snake skin purses with this thing's skin!"
Boreas was half standing, half leaning against the tree. Blizzard Blast had ended in a rough landing and he was going to need a second if he was going to have to jump back into the fray.
