Say something about your country leader. Make sure it's respectful, but if you don't like what he/she is doing, say it respectfully.

Nothing interesting about Obama. He's just another leader, another dad. If you really take interest, start a thread about him, if you want to mention to economy. (They're important, but start a thread on Obama if you only wish to talk about him)

Two elections of a (small) minority government, and represents less than a third of Canadians (proportional representation be damned), neglects environmental concerns shared almost unanimously by Canadians, cuts funds to social welfare services, arts, etc. He's prepared to suspend parliament (and has) if a threat arises to deprive him of political office. He's tried to push his own agenda, albeit unsuccessfully on a few occasions and caused a big tizzy.
Not a fan, at all.

One the first meeting of our president and the United Kingdoms, a gift is usually given from both sides, a ceremonial thing meant as a peace offering of sorts. On President Obama's first meeting, however, a great insult was conveyed along with his gift. What did he give, you ask? Why, it was a very nice bust of Winston Churchill. And why was this thought to be insulting? Well... This particular bust had been a gift from the United Kingdoms to President George Bush Sr. many years before, and it was returned as if a defective toaster from Walmart.

(They're important, but start a thread on Obama if you only wish to talk about him) I totally agree. He's a neutral guy. To me, it doesn't matter if he gets re-elected or doesn't.

If I could write a list of bad things about Brian Cowen, Taoiseach (Leader) of Ireland, my arm would fall off. If you think Obama is bad, this guy had to get a loan of 85 billion euro from the IMF (International Monetary Fund). This is what he looks like. It kind of says it all.

He's making a good job of unplugging the hole in the recession... It doesn't take a genius to work out that cuts result in redundency, which results in less money being spent, which in turn means more cuts which means worse standard of living. What can I say, Mr Cameron is a tad out of touch with the masses. At least he's trying... neutral

You took the words right out of my mouth. All this guy did was pull us deeper into the Recession, and he earns more money than Obama.

There is a general election in Ireland sometime in February. Thank God. Eamon Gilmore or Enda Kenny for the next leader of Ireland.

Jessabeth19 Emperor Angelo XXV Iconoclast Enthusiast mrgreen Forgive me if I'm not laughing.Psst, it's not a debate. razz Say something about your ruler? Okay, I'll say some things about the current President of the Philippines. He has a tough stance against corruption which is a very good thing. His only problem is that he wants to promote population control because he has the mistaken and outdated Malthusian notion of population connected to poverty.

If I am correct (sorry, my family's Filipino, but we live in the U.S. and haven't heard any news as of late), P-Noy was kicked out, right? And, as off current, Aquino The Third is the president? That's just from my inferences... I'm sorry if I am wrong.
