Magical Girl

PostPosted: Fri Dec 10, 2010 11:24 am

The bell rang to signal the end of the school day and Tali was packing away her equipment into the hello kitty bag she carted around. She put on her hoody and was about to wonder out of the classroom when she something from under one of the desks caught her eye. She tilted her head and got onto her knees reaching to grab the item which turned out to be a wallet. She sat up and opened it, pulling out a card for inside one of the sleeves her eyes widened as she recognised the girl’s photo. Tali did not really talk to many people in her class however she knew everyone’s face and name.

She got to her feet and wondered out of class scanning the halls for the girl. If she could not find her she would go to reception. She just thought it would make both their lives easier if she got to return it herself. She continued to walk and her candy pink eyes continued to scan the faces which walked past her. Then when she was about to turn around she saw her target about to leave the building. She quickened her passé to a slow jog.

“Hey! Lily!”

She called hoping that she would stop so she did not have to chase her down the street or something stupid. She had no problem with returning it – but that did not mean she particularly wanted this to be some kind of major effort on her behalf. She held the item up in the air as she ran, so she knew what was going on. It was a easy enough mistake, wallets fell out of bags all the time, easy to misplace but not so easy to replace.

[Lily turned hearing her name and was promptly walked into. Clank, was was the sound her keys made as the hit the linoleum floor. She and her assailant both scramble to pick the up, uttering, well whimpering of freshmans part, appologies. It took a moment to grab them up as few pencils clattered to the floor.

Lily frowned placing her bag on the floor to see it was open and worse, forget the pencils, her wallet was open. She hopped up so fast she barely noticed she skirts quick flutter or the the frshman was now a bit preoccupied gawking at her panties.

Talim was in veiw now and the sight of her wallet being waved about sent a wave of relief rushing through her. Lily gave a bright smiled and waited for the girl to reach her.

As soon as she did Lily made to hug the girl, ten thank yous spewing from her mouth in a matter of seconds. She did not notice the click of a phone camera or the freshman dashing of just moments prior.

When Tali did finally manage to get to her target she was quickly... immobilised, the arms of the girl flung around her and a barrage of thank-you’s hit her eardrums. She meeped a little rested her hands on Lily’s shoulders since her arms where too firmly around her for Talim to move. I guess at least the girl was grateful; it brought a small smile on her face. Plus in all fairness she was rather cute and being hugged by a cute girl was always nice.

“Y-your welcome. I know I would be lost without mine.”

She nodded her head and then her vision went to the floor and the many items of various natures, scattered across the floor. She gave a nervous chuckle and leaned back a little so she could look at Lily.

“Come on, you seem to have a talent for loosing things today and I don’t think you want the world to see the contents of your bag.”

She smiled, slipping away from the grasp of the red haired girl and kneeling down to begin to help her collect her things back up. Tali was a nice enough person when she wanted to be, however some might say she has a split personality, for where as she was nice most times it was only because she trained herself to be so – not because that was the kind of person she was. Her candy coloured eyes drifted back up to Lily.

”Little kids, what can you do?”

She asked, referring to the person who had bumped into her causing the bag explosion in the first place.

Lily gave a small laugh at Talim's comment grinning slightly. She would not really be lost without her wallet, but her parents would be a bit angry because she had a bank card and credit card inside the wallet. She uttered another thank you as the other disentangled herself from Lily's grasp.

Lily blushed at her comment, "Yes, it seems so. It was my own fault however. I should have checked to make sure the zipper was closed. None of this would have happened."

She knelt down as Talim comment on little kids then remembered the boy and looked around. Her was gone and not only that her favorite green pen, she was certain had been on the floor was missing. Lily shook her head and returned her gaze to Talim. "He did appologize, but I think he took one of me pens. My favorite one too."

Lily sighed lightly, but then smiled, "He was a tiny little one. It seems as though they get smaller and smaller each year. The freshmen this year are all rather adorable. I love it," she said placing the last few items in her bag and standing up. She held it out for Talim to put the things she gathered in it, then zipped it up tight after making sure her wallet was safely tucked away.

"You are Talim, yes. From my math class?"

“It does not seem like he was very sorry if he ended up taking one of your pens. What did he look like?”

She asked. She could not stand little kids and even though it was just a pen she did not think he should get away with stealing, especially not from one of her class mates. They were getting too big for their boots those young ones and they needed to have a good boot up there backside every so often to make sure they kept in line.

“Maybe, they are getting smaller but the mouths on some are getting bigger, when I started I dare not even look at a senior never mind some stuff they try and pull these days.”

She stated with a nod of her head as she put the things in Lily’s bad and then rested one hand on her hip. She had seen them mouting off to older kids before, if she had tried that at their age she would have got a punch, there was just no fear in their little bones anymore.

“Now do we not sound like a couple of old women, not even twenty and we are twittering on about kids these days? Next thing you know we will be queuing up for walking sticks and going for eye tests.”

She smirked and shook her head. It was hard to think they were leaving next year; she still had no idea what she was going to end up doing. She was unsure about so many things at the present; then again it was still some time away so for now she would just carry on like she always did.

“The one and only.”

She nodded in response to her name. She ran over Lily once more with her eyes, she was cute indeed. Who knows, if she played her cards right this might be interesting. She had never really noticed before but then again nothing had really drawn her attention to her before.

Lily frowned at being asked what the boy in question looked like, she had not really noticed anything other than his tiny stature, so instead of saying anything she said nothing and listened to Talim talk.

Her words quickly put a smile back upon Lily's face. She remembered being a freshman, but unlike most she did not at all avoid seniors or anyone for that matter. She probably greet and studied with many off that at some point. She was friendly, well mannered and intelligent, but not a pushover and the seniors got use to her presence. For this reason Lily did not have many friends in her own year, really it was only in the past year that she started making them, with being a senshi.

"I would spend much of my time with the seniors and junior, when I wasn't busy with singing or ballet or piano. We mostly studied together," she admitted, "It was nice, but they have all graduated and gone onto better things."

Lily found herself laughing at Talim's next and rather unexpected comment. "Oh dear," she cried in an exaggerated fashion, "do not wish such things on my so early. With college right around the corner I am sure by the end the canes and eye tests will be realized."

Lily smiled bright a Talim, deciding that she definitely like the amusing girl. She stood thinking for a moment on what she had to do for the afternoon and other than rehearsal much later nothing came to mind.

"You are funny Talim," she said grinning, "we should hang out. There is a cafe close to the school we could go to or better yet you could come to my house if you like."

“So you are going to college then? What are you thinking of taking? Truth be told I have not thought about it much, I am not really a fan of school so I am thinking of maybe getting a job for a while and then starting up my own business. I would love to own a games store one day.”

She nodded, she might as well be working at the one in the mall, she was ALWAYS there. So much so some people mistook her for staff at times.

“You seem to be very classically trained. Like one of those princess’s in the stories. I can see how it eats up time.”

She had never really met anyone with a rich upbringing like that. Tali had very little skills which where academic or artistic. She was good with people yet she knew that was not really something that took much time to learn. In fact she had always found it quite hard to keep her mouth shut. Who knows, she might grow up to be one of those annoying women presenters on the telly.

“Inviting me to your house? That’s more of a third date kind of thing.”

She winked with a small smirk before her candy eyes lit up at the mention of a cafe. THAT MEANS COFFEE!

“Going to a cafe actually sounds quite nice, I am dying for a coffee and home seems like such a long walk right now. Damn my guildmates being from a different time zone. I know guys lets battle the boss at 4am Tali’s time just to mess up her body clock... ah... never mind.”

She realised she was rambling. Tali was TIRED and maybe this trip to the coffee store would stop her from curling up on a park bench on the way home. She was a serious gamer and even though last night it was awesome storming the palace to kick some boss butt and earning major points. She was suffering for it now.

“Anyways what do you say? I have an hour to spare.”

She nodded. This Lily character made her curious, she would like to get to know her some more. She had never been called especially funny before.
PostPosted: Sat Dec 11, 2010 12:31 pm

Lily nodded smiling happily, "Yes. I am very excited. I except the acceptance letter to be coming any day now. I would really like to get into DCU, but I applied to many colleges even community, just to cover my bases." She looked to Tali for a minute smile still in place, "That sound like a good plan. Working for a while, maybe even doing management will help you gain insight to the positions involved in a business."

Lily blushed slightly at the statement spouted by Tali. Her parents had given her a lot of lessons of all kind in her life and she sort of just excepted it. It wasn't as though it was unfun, but she never thought it to be any comparison to a princess.

"I guess you could say that," she said softly still blushing.

Her blush increased three fold when Tali questioned her invite and then said the words third date immediately after. She had not meant it that way and she wasn't really even sure she wanted to know what Talim meant by that. She tried to speak, but no words came out which was fine of course because Talim was now talking about coffee.

Her expression changed to one of utter confusion, but still her blush remained in place, as Talim went off on a tangent about guild mates and battling a battle. It made her wonder if the girl was a senshi, but she pushed the thought aside. No one would admit to it in such a way knowing anyone could be on the other side.

"I uh ... have time too. My car is just parked just on the side," she said pulling her scarf tight and moving toward the door. "What is a guildmate," she asked her curiousity getting the better of her then, "and what is with the third date thing," followed quickly after. Lily could not keep it to herself, it just seemed to strange a comment to leave hanging.

Magical Girl

“Oh, it’s on a MMO. An online multiplayer game. You see I have a team and we fight monsters together, ones that none of us can beat alone, not many people play it here so the people I do play with live aboard. Thus the time zones. I don’t mind it too much though.”

She explained, she did not miss sleep. She instead drunk a lot of coffee and energy drink to make up for her lack of it. Also it was surprising how much weight you lost when you did not sleep, your body used up calories like a machine. She smiled and folded her arms. The girl did not know the three date rule! WAS SHE SERIOUS!

“A third date. You have a meeting, then a first date to get to know each other, and then a second to make sure you like them and then the third is where you are then allowed to do naughty things. The same rule goes to my friends, don’t want to go to someone’s house to find out they are a savage killer you know. No offense.”

She knew she was not but it was the meaning that was important. She hardly knew Lily and would rather wait to visit her house... or castle as she could imagine. As time went on she really was turning out to be a fairy tale like character. It was funny, I guess this coffee trip could class as a first date! A little bit of a cliché but she was down with that.

“Aww, you are so cute. It’s not a bad thing a little modesty, it adds charm. I know many guys like that sort of thing.”

She winked once more and turned around to head towards the doors; the halls had cleared now anyways so lingering more would feel a bit like detention. She opened the door and looked back at her new found companion with a soft smile. She had know enough guys she had tried the whole innocent thing with and it did work well, of cause some guys liked a girl with a little more confidence and experience for that matter. So did girls surprisingly. It’s funny how little ones knows about their preferences until they are being hit on by a unusual candidate.

“You drive? I am beginning to like you more and more Lily, lead the way. Our chariot waits.”

Okay, last princess reference for a while. Or was it?

Lily nodded at the explanation about the game with vague interest. She had never played before so she wouldn't knock it, but she also did not know enough about it for it to spark a real flame of interest.

"I bet there is someone around in our timezone that plays. It can but good to stay up like that," she said being truly hypocritical knowing she was often out all hours of the night.

She listened far more intently to the explanation of the third date rule. Her eyes growing wide upon the activies the third date involved. Her blush would never leave at this point. When she heard the words savage killer Lily raised an eyebrow than laughed.

"Good policy," she said especially with some off the stuff in the news these days. I can respect that. I shouldnt be so quick in my offers in the future."
With the next comment Lily smiled albeit a small one and resigned to the fact she would spend the majority of the next hour bright red.

"Thank you," she said as the walked across the parking lot, "but I do not know if that is so true. I mean, I do not really know much on the subject. I have never been asked out. Don't believe I have ever had a crush either, well not that I would realize." The last part came out in a mumble.

Lily nodded to Tali's question with a smile, rounding the corner a pointing to a small Lexus truck. "My parents bought it for me when I got my license. I was so excited and I knew just which one I wanted to. Its a hybrid," she said excitedly.

She quickly pulled her keys from her bag and with a quick boop the car was unlocked and Lily was putting her things neatly in back of her very clean, lightly vanilla scented car.

Tali opened the door leading to the passenger seat and then froze, looking over at the girl with her bangs shadowing her face.

“Never had a-...”

She started just to make sure she heard that right looking confused.

“You have never had a crush on someone! You mean no one at all, even off of TV or a musician, our school is full of hot guys if you know where to direct your eyes and you are telling me none of them do anything for you?”

She asked as she slipped into the car, the sweet sent hitting her nostrils putting a smile on her face, then her eyes went to Lily once more. This girl was so pure she might as well be Russian Vodka! She made her feel all warm inside; she loved to tease the innocent ones.

“Well I guess that makes you untouchable at sleep over, none of that truth or dare do you have a crush on so and so rubbish, well then what kind of person are you interested in?”

It was true and she had to admit she was curious. No doubt some kind of prince charming... or maybe, just maybe? Tali leaned over her way, her candy eyes suddenly gaining a seductive tone as she reached out and stroked a strange of Lily’s hair behind her ears. Her voice suddenly turning gentle.

“... have you ever considered maybe... women? They make very gentle lovers you know.”

She smiled, keeping her voice sooth and steady and then the next moment she leaned back in her seat laughing and holding her hands to her chest with a small chibi blush painted across her face.

“Haha, you are so adorable! I could just eat you up.”

She wafted her hand to make it obvious she was joking... or was she?
PostPosted: Sat Dec 11, 2010 8:45 pm

Lily frowned at Tali's rather blatant surprise. It made her feel like an oddball, but at least she did not blush any more.

"Well it is not as if I have time to look with my schedule. Mostly AP classes, college prep, ballet, piano, volunteering and so much more," she said her voice picking up an annoyed tone. Her thought drifted to the added duties of senshidom and a sister who would embarass her for life upon finding about a first crush, date, boyfriend and Lily could hardly believe she knew the opposite sex even existed.

She laughed at the next question her irritation fading away slightly as she started the car. "I have not had a sleep over since I was 12 and truth or dare consisted of prank phone calls and pestering my 'apparently' handsome older brother." Lily was smiling brightly now as she thought on it. It was amusing and Xander was always a good sport.

"I do not really know what I want really. The usual I guess. I should really think more on the subject with me being nearly 17 now."

She was about to pull off when Tali's sent her straight from happy to oh ny god meltdown mode with her comment. Her face instantly went as red as her hair and she tried to respond but her words might as well hace been AlBhed.

It took Lily several moments to realize Tali was laughing. She gave a weak smile, took a deep breathe and pulled off.

"That was a horrible joke," she mumbled wishing her heart would slow. Fight or flight mode was no fun.

“The usual, how dull.”

She smiled looking over her way; she guessed that’s what a princess would want. One of those relationships you saw in the old fashioned movies; with the perfect family portrait and the perfect little kids and a dog bringing the father his slippers.

To her it sounded horrible. Tali did not know what she wanted, through the many different types of people she tried where fun she could not imagine any of them sticking. For now she would continue to have fun until something amazing popped up.

She wanted something epic, something that was one before only heard in the most epic of tales; something most defiantly not the ordinary.

She could only laugh at Lily’s reaction looking over her way and sticking out her tongue playfully before getting comfy in the seat and closing her eyes with her arms behind her head.

“What its true. Lighten up I am sure you will find someone one day and as soon as you do I will be there to pick on you at sleepovers.”

She added with a small smirk before her gaze went to look out the window. Today had been more interesting than she first imagined and she was glad that she had met Lily. Even though she could imagine her innocent nature because tedious after a while in short doses she seemed nice enough to get along with; and a lot of fun to tease.

Candy eyes went to observe the girl once more. She could not wait for that coffee.

“However I find it to believe that a girl as pretty as you has not had a boyfriend before. They might be some nice guys in our school but clearly they are stupid for over looking you.”
PostPosted: Mon Dec 13, 2010 2:40 pm

Lily felt a bit embarrassed by the comment giving to her statement. It was true it was dull, but in all honesty she had not thought about it so much, so what else could she say. She most certainly did not want to make something up.

Lily gave a light laugh at the next statement posed to her as she pulled into parking lot and grabbed the first available spot. "I will hold you to that you know. We will have a sleepover and I can tell you all about my first date and you can tease me mercilessly."

She drove enjoying the momentary silence as Tali gazed out the window, her cheeks finally able to return to their usual color. This did not last long, however as Tali showered her with yet another compliment. Her blush this time was just a faint tinge, but was there none the less.

"Thank you," she said softly," but I do not think them stupid. I am not the most approachable girl in school, I guess. I have mostly AP classes and I study all the time. They probably just do not want to bother me."

Lily smiled when she saw the cafe come into view just two blocks ahead of them. She did not want to drive by it so, she listened with half a ear and concentrated on where she was going.

She was laughing fully as she turned the car off and unbuckled her seat belt. She of course had no intention of being teased mercilessly, but a sleepover most certainly did not seem like a bad idea. Maybe she could even invite a few other friends and make a real party of it.

She opened the door and climbed out, retrieving her wallet from her bag before closing the door and waiting for Tali, before locking it and heading for the cafe.

"What sort of things do you look for in a person," she asked as they walked.

“I am sure one day you will regret that.”

She stuck out her tongue with a mischievous look on her face. She would be sure to make that night hell!

“Maybe you need to get yourself out there. If you want; I can doll you up and we will go out for the night, maybe then we will have something to talk about at the sleepover.”

She would love to get her hands on Lily, see her cute underwear and dress her in things which would makes peoples jaw drops, she was sure given a night with her she would be getting wolf whistles as she walked down the street.

“I have tried many kinds, of both men and women. Athletic, Princely, Bad Boys, Gamers, Geeks, Goths, Twi-Tards, Older Partners; however it all gets so dull after a while. I do not know what I am looking for, a start would be someone who I do not lose interest in. I want a romance story; everyone says these cheesy lines where you get butterflies in your stomach. I want that, but until then trial and error if proving to be fun.”

She was always looking for that spark, however sadly it did not seem to come to her. She wanted something epic, a story which belonged in a novel; something that no one else will ever live and experience. She wanted big things, simple because she expected a lot from life. She followed her friend’s actions and got out of the car, following her to the cafe.

“Do not get me long; despite what they say I am not a slut, I loved every one because every relationship shaped me a little more. I would not give up the experience for the world.”

You only got one shot at life, what was the point regretting any of it. She lived life like there was no tomorrow because let’s admit it, who truly knows how much time they have left. She wanted to get to the gates of hell and be able to give Satan the finger whilst exclaiming – F*CK YOU THIS IS NOTHING COMPARED TO WHAT I HAVE SEEN AND DONE YOU POINTY TAILED FREAK!

“So what is your poison?”

She asked, preparing herself to go and order some drinks.
