King's city had been a hotbed of strangeness the last few weeks. With terrorist attacks, strange sightings of scantily clad men and women, fluffy /things/ terrorising the neighbourhoods and abnormally good weather.
Despite the oddness, the weirdness and the overall madness that had consumed the city, Mr. Auslin had maintained his sanity.
The recent developement of the principal's 'student-safety-street-patrol' meetings and the alcohol consumption that resulted may have had a hand in this.
"Well, Trecia, we're done here for the day. We should prepare ourselves for the pre-patrol snacks." Which was basically, the principal and faculty hitting a small cheap pub/restaurant and drinking till their wives called, stumbling home and announcing a job well done.
Student welfare was, after all, tax deductible.
A few of the other faculty staff had been roped into this charade as well, more throat-wetting than safety went on, but the P&T kept their mouths closed and everyone felt safer. The important things were taken care of.
He pressed his glasses up on the bridge of his nose and glanced at the intern, shuffling the test papers around on his desk. Tonight, he would beat her record. Or throw-up in the effort.

Trecia was finishing up some paperwork she'd been handed earlier when Mr. Auslin spoke to her. She tucked them into her bag, taking her time before leveling her gaze on him. When she'd first started her internship it took quite a bit of convincing for her to join the patrols. She had felt under-qualified as she was still just a university student, but eventually she broke down and joined the other teachers.
And was nearly mortified to see them hit up the bars and become blind drunks. Though the more time she had spent in the schools, the more she understood why the faculty went on these 'patrols.' It wasn't until after a particularly bad day that Trecia had snatched a beer from Mr. Auslin and chugged it herself, despite being only 19.
Apparently she'd set some kind of record that night, drinking 27 beers, an ale, and 8 body shots. Of course she paid for it the next day, being horribly ill, tempted to admit herself to the hospital, not being able to go to work, nor to attend her evening classes. But there was no class tonight. And tomorrow was Saturday. The planetarium where she worked part time was closed this weekend for remodeling, and nothing would stop her from defending the record- even if it was a sort of petty thing.
"So it is." She stood up. "Where do you think we should start our patrol this time, and who's joining us?" That is, did they have a designated driver? Or were they just going to stagger home drunk like last time?

Now see, in the entire school there was only one person he simply couldn't stand....possibly because it seemed like the man was constantly behind him. He could pretend all he wanted that he didn't notice he got ogled during class....but he knew....oh he knew those eyes would always seek him out.....actually that was why he'd stopped wearing shorts when he taught gym. Jason couldn't help but worry greatly about the REASON the pervert's eyes seemed so naturally drawn to him....but he couldn't bring himself to ask.
He walked into the room and gave Trecia's shoulder a bit of a pat, looking down at her with a chipper look that seemed to stain his face (Unless he was suffering alone in a room with the pervert). "How're the classes going?" he asked. "Any students giving you trouble?" He had to laugh a bit at that, she looked so young he honestly had also first thought she was a student. He wasn't sure how respecting students would be to someone that looked like her.
Of course, needless to say he had no intention of being the 'designated driver'. No, so long as he didn't amble home with Robyn again and wake up in the man's arms. Woo, he'd really needed to be fast that morning to carefully pull out of the embrace and dart home like a bat out of hell.

Robyn Auslin smiled and brushed some of his messy blond hair behind an ear as their third arrived to meet them.
"Ahh, Mr. Smith, so good of you to join us." Auslin adjusted his glasses. If there was anything unusual about Robyn, it was only in his eyes, for the most he was a master of not showing what his thoughts were on his face. That Jason had recently stopped wearing those adorable short-shorts was such a pity. He had a delectable a**.
"Ms Sigurd, it seems to be only the three of us tonight, the others had other important duties to attend. Shall we start on the lower south side?" He glanced at Jason. "Any ideas of where to start our search?"
The others were all busy, busy indeed. In fact, this was the perfect oppotunity for Auslin to check something about the student-teacher and confirm his suspicions about Smith. There was something about the both of them that just... made his senses tingle. His detective gloves were on, whenever it came to either of them. He wasn't quite sure yet why, however.

"No sir." She smiled at Jason. "Aside from the usual riffraff of teenagers, it's been..." She paused. It wasn't really delightful. In fact, the general riffraff was quite bothersome. "...quite a headache." She smiled. "But it's just like highschool was for me." Trecia shrugged. Really, it wasn't too bad at all. Just a lot of work.
"Just the three of us? God damn it. I'm not driving you lushes anywhere. We're hoofing it tonight." She was not about to have someone else barf in her car. She spent way too much money getting her car cleaned the last time it happened. Trecia tapped her chin in thought. "I think we should start near McGee's grill and tavern. I've heard about some shady dealings going on there." Not that the food was bad either. And they could probably all use a pint of the house special. Tre had no idea what was in it, but it ******** rocked.

Jason chuckled softly. "Yea, you get used to that. If helps if you can scare them. You can always tell them if they misbehave they can run laps after school with me," he saud, giving a hearty laugh to the thought. Yes. That was his usual detention for students. Why let them sit in their desks working on their homework that they should be doing in their own time? If they were goofing off in his class chances were it was either History or PE they were missing out on and since he didn't like giving History lectures to people that would easily fall asleep...making them run laps just so worked better.
"Good to see we'll be having another lovely time together Mr. Auslin" It was difficult to tell his tone at that...either he was being chipper and happy...or really rather not happy at all....one could only seriously wonder with him. Ahh, but admittedly the thought of spending more time with Robyn (Which is the girly spelling of that name) was not something he looked forward to. Of course.....with the power he'd recently acquired he wouldn't have too much trouble escaping all things considered. Heh, if nothing else it would most certainly be the most practical use of the ability to run away and hide.
He looked back to Tre and put an arm around her shoulder. "Sounds great!" he said happily. Ahh, she was so small and cute. She's be his type if it weren't for the two lumps of fat sitting on her chest....ahh, but one could hardly blame her, it really wasn't her fault for that.
