I had to vote for the first book, because it's the original. But I have all four books, and I love them all! I'm also getting Red Dwarf VIII- The Official Book. Supposedly it will explain why they brought back Kochansky. According to the amazon.com review: "Yes, there really WAS a reason." LOL I have the Programme Guide from the first season, and just ordered a new one.
What I loved best about the first two books was that the series and books were practically word for word in some places. I could really 'hear' the characters in my mind while I was reading.

Well, hopefully it'll pick up once the subforums have been here for a while - they are new after all.
I find it difficult to get my hands on the books actually; I have found Infinity Welcomes Careful Drivers and The Last Human in the local adult library but never the others. It's a shame really...

I found the Red Dwarf books on Amazon.com (U.S.). Borders.com has all of them also.

Hmmm...maybe I was a bit rash. With Red Dwarf being a British show, its obviously going to be easy for me to get the books as I'm British. Sorry.

It's been a while, but I've read all of the books. Working in a library has some advantages wink

The books are pretty easy to find here in Michigan. I've seen them at the Borders book chain and the Barnes & Nobles book chain. Only the first two books though. For all the others, Amazon, com & the Science Fiction Bookclub were my only sources.
