Name : Braden MacCrimmon Nickname : It just doesn't work.
Age : 19 Birthday : August 27th Sign : Virgo Gemstone : Peridot Blood Type : B
Favourite Food : Fast food french fries. Hated Food : Haggis. >[
School : Sovereign Heights Part-time job : Mail clerk at SH.
Hobbies : The bagpipes - It started with his father making him learn, as he's not actually all that interested in his Scottish heritage. Once he realised they were a real challenge, however, and not something he could master in ten minutes he wouldn't let the damn things alone. He will get good at them.
Cliff diving - He doesn't get the chance to do it often, but there's just something about the jumping that gets his blood pumping. He's not one for the falling or the landing, but by God the jump is great enough to make them worth it.
Track & Field - Boy loves to run. Even if he's not the fastest or most efficient runner, he loves the exhilaration and simplicity of simply running.
Virtues : "Never give up! Never surrender!" - Braden is unrelenting. In all aspects of his life he does not quit in getting things done, voicing his opinions, and standing up for what he believes is good. Even when all odds appear to be against him; such as his good ol' Dad and the Failure Brigade(i.e. - His family).
"This is fantastic!" - Braden embraces life with gusto. Or rather, with a natural exuberance. Even if life isn't so awesome he believes that everything has a big-bright, shining, silver lining and all you have to do to make things better is grab life by the balls and hang on. It's the only way he can get himself through the hardships of constantly disappointing those he loves.
"I'm watching you" - When you're essentially raised to be seen and not heard- observation is key. He has a quick mind that enjoys soaking up all information available to him and making note of it. He probably won't use what he observes in the day-to-day, but it's still there. Up in his noggin.
Self-contained - It's very important to note that just because Braden is a "grab life by the horns" and "never back down" sort of fellow, he is not loud and boisterous. He simply isn't that type of person. He's got a quiet intensity about him, as opposed to something akin a golden retriever.
Flaws : Low-low self esteem - He's constantly trying to improve himself because he never believes he's any good, because he's always told he's never any good. He could be the best bag-piping cross-country running, cliff diver in the UNIVERSE and he would still apologize for not meeting expectations or for not tying his shoes properly. Braden constantly believes that everyone is better than he is. At everything.
Critical paranoia - He KNOWS that no one actually likes him, it's just a conspiracy to build his ego before smashing it on the rocks and breaking him. He does not truly believe he is loved. This especially extends to his family, they've never told him as such but he knows it's why they're always so disappointed in him. He won't go out of his way to include people in his life because of this, and will therefor be that much more suspicious should someone else make the effort to get to know him. It is a vicious cycle, and one that leaves others a great opportunity to do exactly what he already fears is true.
"That there's a creeper" - Braden gets lost in just how intense he can be when something excites him. You know that guy at lunch; the one with the dark circles under his eyes and he's talking about how amazing the last track meet was? That's probably Braden. He scares people off more often than not with this behavior. Cementing in his mind that he just isn't meant to have friends.
Fashion : At Home - Casual slacks ranging in color and pattern, paired with a t-shirt and zip-up hoodie of some kind. Out & About - A step up from his home wear. Braden replaces the hoodie with a sports jacket to match the slacks, and finds a complimentary hat.

Family :
Father - Doug Hugh MacCrimmon - Age 56 - Carpenter Braden and Doug do not get along at all. Doug views his only son as a vast disappointment physically, emotionally, and intellectually. This is a man that considers himself "discerning" when really he's a controlling d**k. Braden will do all he can to gain his father's love and approval, even though he'll tell you he doesn't care.
Mother - Geraldine Ann MacCrimmon - Deceased Braden believes his mother is part of the reason his father hates him. This time- He might be right. Geraldine died when Braden was 5, and other than being a male Braden takes after her more than anything. Looks, personality, and interests. This either makes it very hard on Doug to witness, or he really is just a controlling d**k.
There are various Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins that come in and out all the time in Braden's life but they're all related to Doug and tend to treat Braden as more of a useless house-pet or decoration instead of a human being.
- More info coming eventually.
