Cyanide dropped the old ham radio he used to hack the airwaves onto the diner table and walked over to the door to look out at the zone. He wondered if someone would actually communicate him to come stay. Usually zoners he met knew about his crazy antics and anytime they would see the smiley face and the words "Have A Nice Day!" they would turn the opposite way and hightail it out of there. He walked to the back of the diner and grabbed a can of pineapples. With a quick shot of his ray gun, the top of the can flew off. Taking bite after crude, yet sweet, bite of the food, he bundled up a little with his jacket. It wasn't much, it was enough for the summer's cold desert nights but not the winter's below zero average. After finishing his meal, he bunched himself up in an empty booth and stared out the window into the cold desert night listening to his radio.

Hello out there!
Transmitting on a different line today
Well I just picked up my winter gear, I'm pleased as punch to have found myself a reasonable winter coat. I'm now all bundled up, no longer shivering in my skirts and tank tops. I got too used to the heat.
Some traders had an array of slick kicks and breakers, cheap too.
I suggest you all huddle up, this winter looks to be harsh

Ah,finally! Some fellow Killjoys. Winter you say? Shit I thought it was Spring still.. Well,I'm screwed. I'm in Zone 6 and I cant get to the outskirts for about 4 days,no transport. Someone mind pickin' me up and getting me there? On the way,we could dust some of those Dracs. Who's up for it? Lethal Marauders the name if you needed it. You'll know me when you see me. I'm out.

Well, I finally got this junk working. Nice to see someone else is out there, freezing like I am. I have extra winter gear. If anyone stops by, I'd be glad to give. Plus, It's lonely being here alone..

I'm very nearby! I'm basically between Z5 and Z6. I've been moving around lately, trying to stay safe. My best friend... Got ghosted a month or so back. I've been on the run since.

Well,Thunderbolt,I'm very sorry for your loss. I have no friends around here,I've been treading that super-thin line between life and death alone. Well,I'm in Zone 6 now,just passed the rim,I think. I'm wearing a helmet with a purple visor,and red bandana. So seeya soon,hopefully!

But! I do have another companion that I have named Sadie. A small black dog I see from time to time. She's super friendly.. very skittish though.
