Paris and Ladon has left his house as soon as preparations had been done. Make-up had taken the most time, and once Paris was finally satisfied with their overall look, giving Ladon a look over to make sure there weren't any obvious signs he was a guy that could be seen, they took their coats, mittens, and scarves (Ladon insisted Paris wear a scarf), they headed out. After walking a few streets, they hailed a taxi (Ladon paid), and looking nothing but a pair of cold Crystal students, the driver took them to the front of the grounds. The driver took the money, and told them to watch themselves. That "Pretty girls had to be careful walking the streets at night", and to this, he drove off.

While it had made Ladon frown at being called a girl, he knew that their disguises were working, and they made their way around the wall to find a way in. Paris had talked to a few Hillworth boys and found out the way the boys typically sneaked into the school grounds. It seemed there was a easy tree to scale that let them slip over the wall and hop right now onto a welcoming hill. Not a hard jump at all, but it was made a lot more difficult with a dusty of snow and wearing girl shoes which provided little traction.

After using each other to hold themselves upright and from slipping, they entered the school quietly and shook off the snow. Pulling off his mittens, Ladon set his jacket, mittens, and scarf next to the door. "We can pick them up when we head out. If we look like we're sneaking in or out for the night, we'll be caught and sent to our rooms, and seeing as we don't HAVE rooms, then we'll really be in trouble."

Once done, he pulled out a campus map. "I got this from the school's website." He stated, unfolding it. It showed the campus separated from classroom buildings, dormitories, gymnasium (complete with swimming pools), stables, theatre, sports fields, and other miscellaneous areas like the gardens and music hall. "Makes Meadowview look like a dumpster." He said, frowning. He never liked that money gave others more privileges than hard work and character did.

He looked over the map. He needed to know where the girls were to set up his plan, but he wanted to check the gymnasium. It would be a quiet, enclosed place that he could lure the girls too. The stables would be cold and open. Classrooms were too closed in and cluttered. Outside was open, but the weather bothered him and he would be easily spotted if there were any staff members patrolling about. This school could probably afford the extra eyes.

The only problem was how he could look around with Paris following him. Well, he could just read the map wrong. "The map says we should be going…" He looked to where the gym was." This way." And he headed right.

Paris wasn't all that pleased about having to scale a tree. He'd fished around for any alternatives, but there either were none or the Hillworth boys just wanted to make things difficult for him. At least he had Ladon's help; if he'd had to do it on his own, he probably would have given up and considered it a lost cause. Climbing trees wasn't exactly his thing. He was much too dainty for that.

Once they entered the school, Paris made sure to look around and take it all in, checking around a few corners while Ladon scanned over his map. "That's because Meadowview is a dumpster compared to this place, Lady," he said, returning to Ladon to look over the map as well. "Any place is better than Hillworth, though."

Of course, just being inside Crystal gave him the creeps, and he thought he'd much prefer the regimented environment of Hillworth to this. It wasn't because it was scary in any way, but because the atmosphere was entirely different. He could feel the money in the air. The thought that most of these girls were here because their mommies and daddies were unloading huge amounts of money on them made him sick. Half of them probably wouldn't get anywhere in life anyway, fated to be nothing more than trophy wives to chauvinistic businessmen or something equally defaming.

"I don't think I've ever met a single Crystal girl that I could tolerate," he said as Ladon began leading him off in the direction that he assumed would take them to the dormitories. "Not that I've met very many. I tend to stay away from girls."

He continued to look around as they made their way through the building, a little disturbed by how clean and quiet it all was. Was there really no one in the halls causing trouble this late at night? How very boring...

"Are you sure we're going the right way?" he asked, confused when they'd been walking for a few minutes and hadn't yet turned onto a hall that seemed to lead to any of the dorm rooms.

He moved with purpose and was sure in his direction, checking the map and noticing he was making the right turns. It was lucky for him that he picked an entrance close to the gym and they would be arriving shortly. Once that 'mistake' was done, he could then travel all the way to the dormitories, pretend to find a random door, and slip the note under. At this time of night, he was sure he could pick out a door that had its lights out and its occupant sleeping soundly inside. To be sure, he had created an envelope, and slipped a piece of paper inside. He wasn't one for righting fake love letters to crush some innocent girl's heart and he also wasn't one to even pretend to write love letters. It seemed wrong and it made him uncomfortable. When he wondered if a blank piece of paper might be too suspicious, he then slipped in a piece of junk mail in there as well, sealed it up, and wrote "For Caroline" on the front. He created a fictitious name from a girl that had borrowed his pencil in class the day before.

The note was in the inner pocket of his Crystal uniform jacket.

"I think we should be heading that way." He lied, looking at the map as if he was sure, but not too sure. What an actor you are. He thought to himself, and they soon met a pair of double doors. Mocking confusion, he looked at the map, and then moved the doors aside into the gymnasium.

"Oh…kay. That's not right." He said, his voice echoing in large gym. Still, as it was, he quickly took notice of all of it, moving in as if he was confused but going in for a better look. He noted the exits, the folded bleachers, the storage closets to the side. There was a rock wall in a separate room, doors leading to the locker rooms, and a side room that would lead to another building for cardio workouts and an indoor track.

It would be a perfect place for his plans. Sheltered from the elements, open to leave him plenty of room if a certain Zodiac Princess and her proud protector arrived, and it would leave him plenty of places to escape if he didn't teleport right off. Grand.

As he looked around, he looked at Paris and smiled. "Guess I read it wrong. I think I just went in the wrong direction." He tried to make embarrassment, but his sharp eyes (he no longer had to wear the eye patch with his new fake eye in) looked about, taking in all the detail and envisioning his plan.

To excuse his wandering gaze, he whistled. "Sure it big. The girls here have it nice." He tried to pick up on Paris' conversation from before. "I bet they would have an excuse to be snobbish if they have a school like this, not that I met any of these girls myself." Crystal girls liked the genius Valley boys from Azure or the bad boys from Hillworth. Meadowview wasn't even a consideration for them.
PostPosted: Wed Dec 08, 2010 10:19 am

Some of them didn't mind the Hillworth boys, but Paris was certain there were others that would never deign to lower themselves in such a way. That sort of pure, holier-than-thou attitude made him sick. Not that Paris cared to be around Crystal girls in the first place -- or most girls, for that matter. Boys were more this thing. Geniuses from Azure, bad boys from Hillworth, normal guys from Meadowview. It didn't really matter so long as they were good looking and interested.

Paris rolled his eyes when the ended up in they wrong part of the school. "I thought you knew how to read a map," he said, following Ladon into the gymnasium. "I mean, how hard can it be? You either go left or right. Are you sure you don't have it upside-down?" Poor Lady. Lost already.

He took the time to explore regardless, walking around the large, silent complex. "Going to a nice school isn't an excuse to be a snob," he declared. "Neither is having a lot of money. It's not like it's their money anyway. It's all Mommy and Daddy, I bet, buying their way in for them because they have delusions that their pretty little princesses are actually going to be somebody one day."

Paris snorted at the idea, peeking into the side room and the locker rooms, rattling the door on one of the storage closets in an attempt to open it, but it was locked for the night. "They won't be somebody any more than I will, unless their daddies can buy success for them, too," he said.

Maybe he was a little bitter, but sneaking into a place like this after living where he did for sixteen years was going to make him a bit sullen. It was like throwing his father's poverty into his face and saying "ha ha, you'll never be as good as we are."

With a sigh, Paris concluded his brief examination of the gym and skipped back to Ladon, noting for the first time that his friend didn't seem completely there. He looked like he was pondering something important, looking around the gym with a bit more interest than Paris had shown. "You okay, Lady?" he asked, tugging the map out of his hands so he could look down at it himself. "How could you miss the dorms like that? They're right there," he said, pointing to them. "Are you getting cold feet or something? I thought you were just leaving her a letter."

He jerked himself from his investigating when Paris skipped over to him and got his attention. Flustered, he shook his head. "No. I guess I'm not good with building maps. I'm much better with ones for places like the outdoors." And he watched Paris take the map, clearly pointing out his obvious flaw. "Well, if you are so good at it, why don't you lead the way?" He suggested, knowing that he would need to know where the dormitories were as well. He had a vague notion that somewhere on this campus, a certain princess was tucked in for the night. Right under his nose. He only wished he could sniff her out and stab her in her sleep.

"And I'm not getting cold feet. I'm fine with dropping a letter. I'm in a skirt for heaven's sakes. You don't think I'm brave enough to slip a piece of paper under a door?" He pointed out, a bit defensive. It was easy to do considering he had no feelings to this imaginary girl he created. If it had been the real deal, he would have had cold feet, been flustered, and probably wouldn't have dared to give her a letter.

Walking out of the gym with Paris, "London" looked about, using Paris' clear distaste for the place as a helpful distraction away from him and more on his friend. "You really hate these girls. I can't blame you. I don't like people buying their way and passing people who worked hard and earn it. It's a poor system. These girls will get the best education and best facilities, and yet they probably won't use them." He sighed. His mother had been in full support of this school. The girls held proper manners and etiquette, making them refined women, and she could only be proud of helping create such proper ladies.

"My mother actually thinks the world of these girls. She wished there was a boy's school like this. I bet if I was smart enough, she'd send me to Azure Valley." He could only shudder at the thought of being considered dumb in a world of geniuses. He wasn't that smart. Average in all ways. Not handsome, not muscular, not smart, or rich. He was clearly Meadowview material.

"My mother would probably be thrilled if I went out with one of these girls. She loves their manners and proper upbringing." He said, walking the hallways with Paris as they headed to the dormitories.
PostPosted: Wed Dec 08, 2010 5:10 pm

"Then I'm sure your mother with just hate me," Paris commented, continuing to hold onto the map as he led Ladon out of the gymnasium and in the correct direction toward the dormitories. "I should come over to your house more often and prance around in my underwear. See what she says." He was so over dealing with people's narrow-minded parents. He was almost glad he'd so far been able to avoid meeting Ladon's mother.

"It isn't so much that they get all these things that bugs me," he continued, sufficiently distracted by the topic of discussion. "Okay, so maybe I'm a little jealous. I'd like to have nice things too, and it's so annoying that half of these girls haven't done anything to deserve what they have. I just hate how they look down on other people, like they're so much better because they have money. Since when does money make you a great person? I mean, sure, I'm not the greatest person either, but I do things on my own, I am where I am because of me, not because Daddy paved the way for me. Hell, my dad would probably rather not have anything to do with me."

And now he was ranting and taking a turn toward a subject he didn't very much care to discuss at the moment. Suffice it to say, he had some pretty deep prejudices against Crystal girls -- and rich people in general -- in response to some of the prejudices they had against him (and people like him) for circumstances beyond his control. Maybe he could tone down his behavior, but he couldn't help that he lived in a crappy house and and his mother left him and his father was a drunk.

"Whatever," he said, trying to brush it all off and return his attention to what they were supposed to be doing. "So what room is this girl in anyway? It'd help if you knew exactly where it was, but since you can't seem to read the map... Are we gonna have to go up and down every hall until we find the right number?" How tedious. He still thought Ladon should just call her. It would be so much easier, and the other boy wouldn't have had to put on a skirt at all. "I honestly still can't believe you're doing this."

Paris didn't like rich people who looked down on others. Got it. That went right in the mental file, and he reflected back on his own attitude when he first met the blonde. He had been pretty much a bother to the boy by appearing snobbish, but not that Paris was under him. It was more that he wanted to help him. He hoped that had been made clear, but he wasn't sure. Still, Paris couldn't hate him too much if he was helping him do this.

When learning more about his friend, he started to get a pretty good idea about his background. He didn’t have a mother and hated anyone either bringing it up or pretending to be his. His father seemed to not want him around and hated him for some reason. For what reason, Ladon wasn't sure. Paris was also a Hillworth boy, kicked out of Meadowview, and loved attention and doing as he pleased when it pleased him. He had a poor opinion of love, but he wasn't stupid. He seemed to hide how smart he was.

"What can't you believe? If I have a purpose, I go for it, even if it means if I have to do something as crazy at this. If I think it's important, then I work to achieve it. Aren't you having fun or is it that just being in Crystal rubs you the wrong way?" He could only find some enjoyment in at least enjoying the scenery of the rich detail of the school even if it wasn’t deserved or available to him. There was still a very neat sense of being in a world completely dedicated to girls, all foreign territory to him, and the manicured, tidy atmosphere made him think of innocent ladies giggling to themselves and enjoying their lives together in a sort of shared sisterhood. Of course he knew better. He saw Crystal girls run off with Hillworth boys all the time and saw them smoking and sneering at people that passed by while they went out shopping.

He moved in closer, and nudged his friend as he read the map. "How about this? You helped me, so I owe you a favor. How that?" He offered, knowing that a reward was deserved for a boy who not only was making this scheme possible, but would also keep it a secret.

They started up the stairs to the girls' dormitory, heading up to the floors. Since he wanted to make sure he dropped the letter off in a room that didn't have its lights on (He was sure Paris would make him knock if there was a girl awake and that would ruin his plan), he stopped and turned to him. "I don't know if it's 13 B or 13 F. Can you go down to floor B and see if the name Caroline is on the door? I'm going to see about the F floor and check. We can meet back here, that way we can save time." He said, and before Paris could say a word, he made his way up the steps. It was best to go up and just throw the letter somewhere and then head back down.

As he did, he reached back and adjusted his skirt. Stupid skirt. Sure, it was long, but he hated the uncomfortable draft between his legs.
PostPosted: Wed Dec 08, 2010 9:21 pm

Paris snorted when Ladon offered to pay him back for all the trouble -- not that it had been much trouble, he just felt a little more bitter by being in this place than he thought he would. It was fun to sneak in and walk around, but the more he let his thoughts wander, the more resentful of these girls he became. He didn't mind helping Ladon, though; everything they'd had to do to get to this point had been a blast.

"Aren't you afraid of what I'd ask for?" he wondered, but he smiled to let him know he didn't mean it.

Going up to the girls' dormitories didn't even out his mood any. He began to wonder what their rooms looked like, if they were allowed more freedoms with decorations than the boys were at Hillworth. Who was he kidding? Of course they were. Hillworth was a prison compared to this place, a prison he did his best not to conform to. They'd have to do a lot more than yell at him if they wanted him to stop wearing his Mary Janes... and make-up...

"Are you sure splitting up is such a good idea?" he asked at Ladon's request. "What if one of us gets caught?"

Too late. Ladon was already heading up the stairs. Paris watched him go, not too sure what he was supposed to think about all of this. Ladon hadn't really done much to make Paris question his story -- except that dressing up like a girl to deliver a letter was kind of extreme for such a prude-ish boy as Ladon, and sometimes he got that faraway look on his face, but Paris had merely thought he was thinking about the girl he'd written the letter for. Still, there was something nagging at the back of his mind, something that told him this whole ordeal was a bit more than Ladon was making it out to be. He had a strong suspicion and a feeling in his gut that Ladon wasn't being entirely honest, or that he was hiding something at the very least.

Paris didn't like when people hid things from him.

Frowning, he waited until Ladon was out of sight up the stairs before quietly following behind him. As a dancer, he was rather light on his feet, and so he was able to creep up the stairs to trail the other boy without making any noise. He paused when Ladon paused, and moved when he moved, making sure to remain some distance behind in the hopes that he wouldn't attract his attention, but wanting to stay close enough to see what he was doing. It didn't seem as if he was bothering to go all the way up to floor F...

Ladon hadn't bothered to go up all the way to floor F. It was up higher and it only increased the risk of being caught. He didn't need to go to floor F, and assured that Paris was a few floors down helping him find the door he needed, he took his time and wasted it on floor D, walking down one hallway, turning, and inspecting a picture a moment. He pulled out the letter in his breast pocket, tapping it against his chin as he looked at a picture of the old country, complete with horses drinking by a river.

When he felt he spent enough time, he turned about and started to stroll his way through the hallway, looking at the doors. All but one had their lights off, and he playfully picked on at random. Pointing to one, he moved over and kneeled down, tucking his skirt under him, before he pushed the letter under the door. A bit was peeking out, be he wasn't concerned. The letter was nothing. A piece of junk mail (without his name or address or any codes that could be tracked back to him) and a blank piece of paper inside. Aside from a the words 'To Caroline', it was just junk. Whatever girl woke up to find it would either think someone was confused, stupid, or that they were playing a mean trick. It would be harmless to her, and everyone else. He had the information he needed.

The place didn't have that strong of security. He could get in and out easily, and the map he was given was pretty self explanatory. It wouldn't be difficult to test out the new energy draining here, and it wouldn’t be hard to escape either. He now had a much better idea of the grounds.

Turning, he started to slowly head his way back down towards where he felt the steps would be and would see about meeting Paris. He hoped the boy wasn't lost. He was ready to leave this place and get out of this skirt.
PostPosted: Wed Dec 08, 2010 9:57 pm

Ladon wouldn't have to go far to meet up with Paris. Once Paris had seen him slide the letter under a random door -- random because it couldn't be room 13 and it definitely wasn't floor F -- he stepped around the corner to place himself in the middle of the hall, arms crossed and foot tapping against the ground. He didn't know what was going on, but he was growing more suspicious by the second.

"So what did you write in that letter exactly?" he asked once Ladon had noticed him. "I don't think you ever told me." And he definitely hadn't let him read it, though he'd asked if he could before. He'd respected Ladon's privacy though and not pestered him about it any more.

But now that he knew -- or thought -- that Ladon wasn't being entirely truthful with him, he didn't think he was obligated to respect his privacy anymore. He swiftly stepped around Ladon to make his way down the hall, easily finding the door his friend had stopped at to crouch down and grab the corner of the letter that was still sticking out. Once he had the letter in his hands, he opened the envelope and pulled the contents out.

"What a lovely thing to send a girl," he said sarcastically, looking between the blank page and the junk mail. "I was expecting hearts and mushy words or something."

He turned to Ladon to hold the evidence of his treachery before him. "Mind explaining this? I'm a bit confused now. Something tells me you've been lying to me, and I don't really appreciate being lied to."

Ladon froze, eyes wide, as he looked at Paris. His perfect plan just went up in flames in seconds. Like any guilty party, he was struggling to find a good lie to give him, and it was rather hard to concentrate on making on when Paris swept by him, clearly not believing a single syllable he would have babbled if he could get his mouth to work, and snatched the letter from the floor.

He started to see the flaws in his perfect plan rather quickly. One was that he should have taken the time to write a fake letter. The other was that he should have pushed that letter all the way into the room. Lastly, he should have watched his back for suspicious friends.

When he turned and stared dumbly at Paris, who held the clear evidence that he wasn't here on something as noble and adorable as giving a letter to a girl he desperately wanted to see, Ladon was left with his stomach in his Mary Janes and his heart somewhere lodged in his throat. If this blew up in the Crystal hallways, he was ********. Paris probably could care less. He got in trouble all the time and his parents wouldn't care if he continued to get in trouble. From what Paris revealed, his parents didn't care what he did with his life.

But Paris knew that his parents did, and it had been that express fact that he told Paris before they took on this adventure into Crystal. In short, Paris had blackmail. In summary, Paris had him by the balls.

"I…I…" Guilty couldn't be more firmly written on his face, and he looked like a deer in the headlights, stunned and watching everything he was trying to do and more being threatened point blank by a very pissed off boy in a skirt.

"I just…" He noticed the one door with the lights on in the corner of his eye. If that girl heard a commotion and got someone to come here, his life was ruined.

"Paris…this isn't what you think. I …I had good reason. I…just needed….I just needed to get in here." Oh &%$?! What was he suppose to do? He couldn't think of any lie that would work? What to do? What to do?!!!!!
PostPosted: Wed Dec 08, 2010 10:23 pm

Oh, he knew better than to cause such a big commotion in the hallway, and he wasn't about to jump the gun and turn on Ladon before the other boy had a chance to give him a damned good explanation. It would be such a hassle if they got caught, and while he might not have cared under different circumstances, he wasn't really in the mood to deal with it anymore. So he kept his voice quiet enough not to attract much notice even while he was confronting his friend.

At least, he hoped he wasn't mistaken in thinking that Ladon was his friend. Because if he was being played as some sort of an idiot, he wouldn't hesitate to make Ladon's life a living hell. Or he'd just make him feel horrendously guilty. He could be good at that, too.

"If you had a good reason, I'd really like to hear it," he said, closing in on Ladon so they weren't quite as far apart, and so he could try to be intimidating -- which probably didn't work out too well considering he wasn't a very big guy to begin with, but he did have an inch on Ladon. "If you weren't leaving a letter for some girl, why'd you do all this? It was kinda weird to begin with seeing as you could have just called her or sent her a letter through the mail or whatever, or had one of her friends do it, but now it's just bizarre."

And he honestly couldn't think of any reason why Ladon would do something like this. What did a straight-laced guy like him have to lie about?

"Why did you really need to sneak into Crystal? It must be pretty important if you're going to waste the money on a wig and uniform, and shave your legs and put on make up."

The one inch made all the different, and Ladon found it hard to look up at his friend and meet his eye. He was caught, and worst of all, he had no lies to give to rescue him. He only had a truth, and one that he could not give under any circumstance. Already he felt a warm heat of guilt making him wish he had a glass of water and a giant TIME OUT card to have some time to think.

Instead, he was put under the gun and was demanded the truth. The truth?! He hadn't been giving anything close to the truth for a long time. His life was fast becoming a network of lies, and one truth could undo him. Yet, he had nothing else. A lot more would be jeopardized and exposed if he didn't give Paris something. Not only did he not want to be caught, to have his plan ruins completely, but he didn't want to lose Paris as a friend.

Paris bothering to spend more than 5 minutes hanging out with him, a boy who knew a lot more about his secrets and hobbies than anyone else, and who, despite not knowing him that much, had agreed to dress him up and sneak into Crystal, all said that this was not the type of person – type of friend – you easily let slip by. Considering he had no friends, he really didn't want to let anything leave him.

"I…am looking for a girl." He knew Paris would feel he was lying, but he pried his teeth open to let that slip. Even that truth was making his heart race, and he felt nervous because of it. How much could he say? His mind screamed to say that he should stop. In the scheme of things, he had a job, a duty to his other lifestyle, to the Ngeaverse, and friends could screw off in the end.

But his other life, the life of Ladon, NEEDED more than just duty.

"I don't know who she is…..but I know what she looks like…and I think she goes here." He liked his lips, his throat dry as he swallowed hard. A cold sweat was breaking out on his brow. "…I…I only meet her once…..and that one time…is when I lost my eye…." He was breaking down the story, his history, his reasons, down to the simplest truths he could give Paris without endangering both of their lives. "….I wanted to know that I could get in here if I had to. That if I do find out who she is, I can slip in here without trouble." Was it a lie or a truth? I wasn't exactly either. "…..I want to find her…and meet her again…..I just wanted to come here and know that I could if I did find out who she was and where she was." Boy he felt warm. He needed a drink of water. Better yet, he wanted to dunk his head in a bucket of water. He wished Paris wasn't so close. His eyes were drilling into his skull and he never felt so small as this in a long time.

"…..it's …personal. More personal than some love letter." It was revenge. "I didn't feel that you would want to be involved in that....or think less of me." He looked away finally. "...but I guess you do now."
PostPosted: Wed Dec 08, 2010 11:19 pm

He wasn't all that impressed when Ladon continued to insist that he was looking for a girl, but Paris would give him the time to explain properly, and when it seemed as if some part of the real story were beginning to be unraveled before him, he felt a little better. Only a tiny bit, but still better than before.

"I don't see why you couldn't have just told me that before," he said, still holding on to the fake letter. "I know you don't like talking about what happened to your eye and all, but even telling me that much would have been better than lying to me. I could have helped you find her better, asked around at Hillworth or something to see if any of the guys know of her." He was both offended and hurt, and he wasn't quite sure how to deal with it. He'd been in situations in which he'd caught people lying to him before, but never with a friend.

"Look," Paris began again, trying not to blow this out of proportion -- which said a lot, considering he didn't really try to hold himself back from being a drama queen around other people. "I've had a lot of people lie to me and treat me like crap, so this whole thing," he paused to wave the letter around, "it kind of sucks. I haven't been anything but honest with you, and I thought you were the sort of guy to be honest with me, too. I'm usually a pretty decent judge of character, but I guess everyone makes mistakes."

Was that harsh? He was trying not to be mean, but the lying stung, and there was still some suspicious part of him that thought Ladon was still holding something back. He almost pried, but wanted desperately for Ladon to tell him on his own, to trust him enough to reveal whatever it was he kept so carefully hidden.

"My life sucks, okay?" he said instead. Even though he was angry and upset, he still wanted to smooth this over; he didn't want things between them to get messed up because of this. "I have crap parents and I go to a crap school, and this city is insane and screwed up and crappy things seem to happen all the time." He stayed out of what he could, but he heard things. It was hard not to in this city, when there was so much going on, half of which he didn't even understand.

He shifted a bit uncomfortably, coming to the part where he had to express himself with words instead of actions. He was so much better with actions. Just because he could flirt and flatter with ease didn't mean he knew the first thing about discussing feelings. "I guess I thought that this... you know, you and me... maybe it didn't have to be as crappy as everything else."

What was said stung deep, and he knew he deserved it. He knew that for what Paris felt, that stab to the gut, was something that justified being stabbed in turn – with interest. He just wished he could have gone with a light slap on the hand instead. The judge of character really hurt him, and he felt degraded and worthless in an instant, not to mention that he was the scum of the universe and no longer had any footing with Paris to try and give him advice when he just showed himself to be a liar, a user, and a terrible friend. His 'master plan' was no longer a concern, and it was pushed aside. Wolframite could plan other things. Ladon had more important matters to deal with. He had a life, and a part of that was getting really screwed up right now.

"I'm sorry." He said, knowing that wasn't enough, but it was at least something he had to say. He gripped a handful of his skirt, finding it hard to look up at Paris. He was always told when growing up that he had to look up when apologizing, and so he did, even though he shrank under Paris' gaze.

"I didn't mean to hurt you. I just thought, if I said this, then I wouldn't have to hurt you at all then if I said the truth. I didn't think you'd be on board and that it was my thing to deal with. I just feel it's something I have to do. I was the one that got hurt, so it's my fight." He pressed his lips tight at the word 'fight'. He hadn't revealed that either. Well, that was out of the bag now.

"…I didn't want you getting in trouble or messing with stuff when it's something I should be doing on my own. It's not your fight, and …you talking around Hillworth…it's not a good idea. I'm not just looking for a girl. She has a friend too. A guy. He was the one that took out my eyes. She was just being protected by him." Oh, he was making a mess of this entire story. " I don't really want to go into it, but I just happened on a guy and girl, and I only met them once, and he got pissed about something stupid and beat my eye out." He shot his eyes down, no longer able to hold his gaze up to meet Paris. "If you go around asking about it at Hillworth, you might get into trouble because of me. I don't want to have this screwed up or for you to get pulled not something."

"We barely knew each other. I was surprised you even agreed to this. I didn't want to push it by dumping all this out there. You don't need all the extra baggage, and it's not your fight. I also don't think you'd….approve." Not that he wasn't sure what Paris would approve seeing as he seemed to be okay with a lot of things. " You have enough … to deal with in your life." He seemed to struggle with the swear word 'crap', and more mumbled it than anything else. "….I didn't want you to see how much I have and just not want to bother dealing with me when you have enough on your plate." Ladon had issues. He wasn't perfect. How could be a person who could talk about love, morals, and being a good person when he just contradicted himself with lying, fighting, and being sneaky?

"I'm sorry." He repeated. He was SO sorry.

Sadly, sorry didn't fix things.
