Intro: When you start roleplaying as a new player (not a transfer from NFS1), you begin posting here in the Ninja academy. This allows us to see how well you are at role playing, and to get you used to counting your posts towards training.
The academy is not one place, rather it's many places and your character is in one. When you post at the top of your post please place a village name in parentheses before the rest of your role playing. This will let players know "which" ninja academy your in as every country has their own.
Required Training: You must post out a minimum of 20 posts, or in other words 100 lines.
Rewards: Once you graduate the Academy you gain a few items. These are the very generalized and most common of ninja types, your free to customize your character with more gear and stats as you earn the resources to do so later.
--- Kunai, Med Kit, Shuriken, Smoke Bomb, Soldier Pills, Tracking Tags
Example Post: Quote: (Fire Country Academy)
Role-playing text goes here, something about you training, doing tests, or just studying, whatever works. We just need to see how literate you are so we know how to help. Etc... Remember a post is 4 lines, so 20 posts is not necessarily 20 separate posts, 1 post with 80 lines would be the equivalent of 5 posts with 16 lines each. You simply must have a minimum of 4 lines per "rp post" you submit, to avoid 1 liners.

Mist Academy“Pzzt”, someone on the mike buzzes annoyingly in Kyu’s ear. The connection buzz always made him wince. From the receiver came a young voice, “Hoshigaki, the target is approaching our position. Are we to move in?” From the trees, Kyu looked through the thickening mist at the spacious road. On the road was one civilian huddled between three very vigilant ninja. The shark boy pushed his mouthpiece against face mask, then replied, "No, not yet. Wait for them to get closer to their drop-off point. It’ll give us extra time. Barabara, you’ll use your genjutsu to hypnotically suggest them to turn around. Meanwhile, Ichigo will use the Hidden Mist Jutsu. With the already thickening mist, they won’t expect a sudden fog. Bro, I know your chakra won’t hold out that jutsu for long, but you only need to hold it for as long as it takes for Barabara to get them to turn around. I’ll backtrack, and place a trap for them. They’ll never see it coming. Now break-" With a click, Kyu’s earpiece disconnected from his group’s private channel. Confident in his teammates and his plan, the stealthy ninja-in-training backtracked about ten minutes up the road (if he was at walking pace). Immediately, he laid down a trip wire just an inch or so above the ground. It was taught all the way across the road. From there, he entered the woods to prepare the actual trap. Ropes, stacked logs, exploding tags, and wire were intertwined in a trap amongst the trees. By design, even a light pull of the ninja wires crossing the road would attract flying one-foot-thick wooden projectiles. By attempting to dodge, the target would set off an exploding tag beneath the silty dirt road. In the chaos, it would be easy to take out the target without even having to confront the ninja protecting him. Kyu had finished just in time. He barely had ten seconds to admire the ten-minute craftsmanship before he saw the group approaching in his peripheral view. He jumped into the trees, and turned on his radio, "Showtime bros." 19 lines Quote: Ele: Be sure to clearly label your post to include what countries academy you are in. Sai: We're watching youuuuuuu <3 Ele: Sai you freak, dont say that you will scare him. Sai: Ssssssh, they'll learn to love it~

Mist Academy
In just moments, the trap was sprung. Logs big enough to kill flew through the air with deadly speed. The smashed into the soft ground with thundering thuds, and sent the group into chaos. Their close delta formation broke entirely when the first landmine shook the earth and fired a ninja and a few hundred pounds of dirt flying into the air. To make matters worse (for them), a thick cloud of mist poured in, likely Ichigo using his jutsu again.
Now was Kyu's turn. With a shark-toothed grin behind his mask, he jumped into the road, and ran at breakneck speed toward the target in the mist. He narrowly dodged every trap along the way; he planned his route exactly so he could bee-line up to the target in this very fashion.
In seconds, he was face to face with the target, a figure dressed in and tan commoner's clothing, a conical sedge hat, and straw rope waraji. Kyu pulled out a trio of long-tipped shuriken from his hipside pack, and threw them downwards. The ninja stars planted the target's waraji to the ground, and one even pierced his foot. The man yelped in pain, but was unable to move. Immobile, he was unable to defend against the kunai that touched against the back of his head, and the had over his mouth.
The man grabbed at the manhandling ninja's hand, but was too weak to remove it. As he struggled, he heard a cool, calm voice like death in his ears, "Say 'hi' to everyone on the other end for me, okay bro?" The man's eyes rolled up as a splatting sound came from behind. Kyu let go of the bloodied man and let him fall to the ground, dead with a kunai in the back of his head.
Kyuzaku withdrew the way he came, and entered the sidelining forest once more. In moments, he felt safe enough to talk on his team's channel once more, "Mission Complete." He heard woots and cheers on the other end, and a loud bell tolled, signalling the end of the simulation. Kyuzaku jumped from the woods, and watched as some medic-nin took care of the careless student that walked into the trap. Another pair of assistants took care disarming the rest of the traps.
Kyuzaku walked up nonchalantly to the dummy target. Even for a puppet, it was pretty real, considering it had veins and cut-able skin to simulate a real kill. As he looked at the dummy, two ninja approached; it was the other two that were supposed to be guarding the target.
One guy, with bandages on his face said first, "So, Fish-boy, what was your plan this time? I've been thinking it over for the past few minutes, and I can't figure it out. Somehow you got us failed only a minute from the pick-up point, yet we had walked for twenty. As far as I can tell, we always walked straight, and even if we didn't we would'a hit woods." The boy scratched his wiry brunette hair, and looked at Kyuzaku confusedly through his thick nerd glasses.
The second ninja, a blond kunoichi-in-training walked up next to the first. Uri, her name was, and she was wearing one of the advised academy uniforms, personalized with bandages across the midriff. Her name was Uri, Kyuzaku believed. piped up, "Seriously, we can't figure out your plan today! You gotta give us the play by play!"
Kyuzaku sneered playfully, "Right, like I'm going to spill all my secrets to you guys," Kyuzaku paused for a moment, then said, "Okay, here's how it went down. I had Barabara use a genjutsu on you to get you guys to do a slow turn. Meanwhile, Ichigo used his Hidden Mist jutsu to conjure up a fog. Then, before you can say 'skadoosh', you guys were facing the wrong way without knowing any better. From there, I ran up ahead, and set up the traps. I had prepared a few when I was up that way earlier, so at that point, I was simply finishing up at that point. Then I laid down some land mines, and then some dirt over them, and took to the woods. Sorry about your bro, Sunomono. I know he already didn't like the fact that I've never lost one of these scenarios, but now I'm afraid he's going to try and come after me on the next one." Kyuzaku laughed, and so did his two former opponents. Even though they were usually pit against each other in these real-to-life simulations, they were capable of friendly banter outside of the combat.

Mist Academy Kyukazu saluted the two ninja, then walked away with a wave. He had other things to attend to now. His sensei was probobly not far away, waiting for him to check in. The shark ninja kicked off the ground, and sprinted up into the trees, and onto the branch of a weeping willow tree. From there, he kicked off from the branck and soared from tree to tree in the direction the party was origionally moving. The chuunin sensei would be waiting at the drop off point, and so would Barabara and Ichigo.
As he soared through the trees, his expression changed slightly. He looked a little more agitated, and a little less friendly, "That wasn't a great solution to the mission. Not my usual caliber. I should be better than that. That besides, I've done turn-arounds before. I shouldn't be doing them again. The others might end up suspecting it next time, or worse, expect my next plan. I need to do better next round. I need to wow them again." Kyu snapped his fingers, "Got it. I'll do double training until the next one, and use my teammates as a distraction. Then, I'll use my newfound agility to pounce in and finish the goal. They won't even see it coming." Kyu pulled down his face mask, allowing himself some of the fresh, misty, evening air. The moisture soothed his gills, and woke him up a bit. Feeling the sodden air in his throat was always a treat.
He leaped down from the canopy to a small building were the drop off was supposed to take place. Kyu pulled his face mask back up, and entered a recreation of a ramen shop. Sitting around the bar was his group's respective sensei, along with Barabara and Ichigo. Kyu spoke up as he flicked the paper threshold hangings away from him, "So, sensei, how'd we do?"
The sensei was just some regular Mist Chuunin. He wasn't anything too special, nor had he participated in the same program he was teaching. He wore traditional Mist attire: pin-striped underclothes, a blue karate gui, and a Mist Headband over his forehead. Like many Kirigakure ninja, he had a sword on his back, specifically a Tsurugi.
"You did excellent as usual," he said, "So excellent in fact, that we've decided to promote you." Kyu was stunned at first, Barabara and Ichigo cheered, but were quickly shut down, "Not you two dolts. just Hoshigaki. He's been pulling your team for way too long, so he's due for a promotion. Kyuzaku Hoshigaki, you're officially a genin of Kirigakure!"

Kyuzaku left the in shortly after, wearing his own, brand-spanking-new ninja headband with forehead protector. It glimmered proudly on his head, and a few of the trap-detecting ninja gave him a short congratulations as he passed. Kyukazu felt like he was on top of the world.
That fleeting feeling of proud accomplishment passed as soon as he got home though. The Hoshigaki estate wasn't looking to hot, and it was a constant reminder of his duty as the first ninja heir in a generation. It was his job to both fix up their estate, and save their clan from ruin and extinction like so many Kirigakure Clans had faced in the past.
Kyuzaku entered the barren grounds, and sighed. Although he'd never seen it in great condition, he could feel the loss. In those gardens, the fountains ran dry, and the ground was silt and grass-less (unless you counted the weeds). A greyed weeping willow tree hung over a broken bench like the hand of a skeleton.
Kyuzaku walked up the main stretch and into his house. Inside, it was as old and run down. He looked around at the scenery one last time before he walked into one of the few nice rooms in the entire estate, his father's room. Kyuzaku pulled the rice-paper door to the side, and entered, and then closed it behind him.
"Dad, I made genin..."

Sorains eyes sprung open instantly as his sleep cycle came to an abrupt end, almost as if something had violently jerked him from his slumber. But as usual there was nothing, no cause for alarm, no noise, no distrubances, it was simply in his nature and would for ever remain something about himself that he would unfortunately never understand. Sorain sat up in his bed, his body aching in protest from his uncomfortable sleeping position. Sorain sat without speaking, rotating his shoulders to try and alivate some of the pain from the night before. Once satisfied he hopped down from his bed and made his way over to the mirror, one that stood more for show than anything else. Feeling his way across the dresser that stood just below the mirror Sorain eventually found the soft cloth like material that he had been scanning for. Sighing heavily to himself he began wrapping the cloth around his eyes before securely fashioning them behind his head. Reaching up to his silk like silver hair, Sorain abruptly combed his fingers though it, hoping that it would all fall into place as he had no way of seeing for himself because Sorain was blind. Since his birth neither of his eyes functioned in the slightest. From the moment he was born he has lived his short life in total darkness, a never ending shade that overtook his reality. Something that until recently he had never fretted over, however now that he was about to start his acadamy training he feared that this disadvantage would prove to be much more of a short coming than it had been through the rest of his life. How was he going to be a ninja if he would not even see two inches in front of his face? Granted, his senses were adept enough for him to function in normal society, it was definatly not the type of handicap one would desire to have in the field. Sorain sighed again, trying to fight back the sorrow that was building in his chest in anticipation and utter disdane for the grief that would follow him in class. Undoubtedly his younger brother, though by only a few minuits, would prove to be the best as he always was in class and at life. Mean while Sorain, the technical first born, would be forced aside due to his handicap.
Sorain slammed his fist down on the dresser, the pain of his tiny hands colliding with the wood bit at his flesh. It simply was unjust, to be born such a way, with no hope for light. To live in utter darkness for the duration of his existance. Sorain shook his head before turning and heading towards the door, walking as if a boy who could see before eventually finding his way to the kitchen. Sorain heavily under estimated his senses. Even at age 8 he was still more than capable of making up for his handicap, but still he felt as though he was inadequate. Dashing these thoughts aside Sorain sat down on the cushioned pillow which rested directly in front of a small wooden plank that served as a tridional eastern dinning board. Sorain turned his head to the left as his mother entered the kitchen from the front room. He smiled at her as he felt the warm sensaion of his mothers presence radiating towards his body. Though he could not see her, he imagined a beautiful women, with hair that felt just as his did. Although he had no perception of color, in his mind he took joy in imagining it as an angelic silver. Sorain's smile faded. "Hello mother." He said under his breth. Not one for words, Sorain never quite did know how to express the utter adoring love he had for this women. But some how he had the feeling that she knew.
His mother returned his smile warmly before speaking to him in a voice that could soothe even the wildest of beast, "Good mourning Ame" using the japanese term for Rain, the nick name that she had given him at birth, "Are you hungry? Of course you are, Ill make you breakfast before you head off, but dont eat until your brother comes down" Sorain nodded towards her in understanding. His mother had held a very strong ideal of family, and refused to allow anyone to eat a recognized meal without the family being properly seated.

Mist Academy
The room was filled with the sound of heavy breathing, the whiny whistle of a heater in the corner of the room trying hard not to be drowned out rattling along with it. The room, while twin to that belong to Sorain, was adorned completely different. Strewn across the floor was a sea of clothes and toys, a burgundy colored rug could be spottily seen beneath it. The wood closets that would have normally held the clothes instead held various schoolbooks that had been thrown in and abandoned, even more toys, and in the deep corner, what looked like the vague remembrance of a half-eaten, turkey sandwich. Their was no mirror in the room, luckily so as it might have cracked at it's hideous display, and the only cleanly section was where a red oak desk stood, it's contents neatly organized and maintained. Beside it stood a bed, pressed tight against the wall that divided the two room. Its sheets were spread and pushed awkwardly to the sides as a young boy laid sideways upon it with his upper body dangling over the side.
The sleeping boy's face was relaxed and peaceful in his dream. His mouth hung open, a line of drool spilling over and out from it as he snored loudly. Every so often his small hand would shift to scratch at his bare stomach, his shirt slipping off due to his upside down position. It was only when the loud *thump* from Sorain's room had sounded that the boy started and fell off from his bed. Slipping from his bed, his head smacked into the floor as the rest of his body flipped over him, leaving his buttock in air and his head and legs against the floor. "Na... ni?" The boy croaked with a raspy voice, a mix created from his cold and sleepiness. Without warning he fell over to his side and continued to roll until he laid flat on his stomach, his bright blue eyes glaring around his dirty room. A flash of mischievousness tinted his eyes, instantly the boy began to crawl across the floor like a lizard, his head napping this way and that as his tongue playfully flickered about and his eyes blinked in an awkward pattern. Stopping just before the largest pile of clothes, the boy reared back and shook his bottom as though there was a tail there. In the next moment he had dashed into the pile without warning. The small arms ripped this way and that as he rolled through the pile, clothes were flung in all directions and redecorated the room until the pile diminished to just a single black shirt. Throwing on the shirt without a care to it's tremendous size, the boy smiled in glee to his prize, a prize that dwarfed him in a clownish way.
With a sigh, the boy fell back to sit down, his hands reaching out to curl around his big toes as he looked around the room curiously, as though there was something foreign in it but he couldn't tell what. Blowing his cheeks out, he pouted and frowned, his body rocking back and forth childishly until he made his momentum move him back to his feet. Blowing the air out angrily, a fit of sneezing following soon after, the boy crossed his arms over his chest and marched out of his room and entered the one next to it. A pure look of disgust stretched upon his features as he looked around his brother's room... It was so clean and tidy, and he hated it. Shaking his head in disappointment at how his brother left his room to be so unbecoming, the boy made his way to Sorain's closet and found himself a pair of jeans, socks, sneakers and a jacket.
It was a few minutes later when the boy exited the room wearing his brothers clothes on his body and sly smile on his lips. He could hear the smell of his mother's cooking in the kitchen, his stomach lurching almost instantly for her heavenly cooking but with a shake of his and a "Ssssssshhhh" to his stomach, the boy made his way not to the kitchen but instead to his parents' room. His father laid across the bed lazily, his limbs sprawled all out with the only movement coming from the steady rise and fall from his chest. Dropping down to the floor, the boy quickly crawled over to the side of the bed and peeked up over the side to stare at his father's face. It was chiseled and firm, a short stubble was growing against his cheeks and chin from not shaving. For the most part it was unmoving and peaceful but as the boy brought his hand to pinch his father's nose, the face churned and snarled at him causing him to retract his hand with a squeak, the man almost let a laugh out but held it back and shook slightly as he continued to try to pretend to be asleep. "Hey! No fair!" The boy squealed before leaping onto his father, only to be caught in mid-air and drag to the bed. For a moment the tumbled and rolled, wrestling each other into various submission holds until finally the man laid on his stomach with one hand rapidly tapping out and the other held as tightly as the young boy could in his grasp as he tried to turn it. "Ah, ah! You got me Sai, I give, I give!" The man howled, his face twisted in pain. But swiftly it brightened up, the man's bright eyes shining happily as he smelled the food. Without trying, he swung himself up and off the bed and walked out of the room, his arm raised beside him easily despite his son desperately clinging to it, no more to sub-due him but instead not fall off.
With a chuckle, the man entered the kitchen in nothing but a shirt and boxers, his bright face darting to his wife for a kiss before making his way to his seat at the table. Raising a eyebrow, the man sighed and looked at his son for a moment before shaking him off onto his own pillow seat. "Good morning, Ame" He chuckled out before he brought a hand to ruffled Sorain's hair affectionately, "So what's for breakfast?" He asked as he now sat cross legged on his seat, Sai copying him so that he looked like a mini-me to his father. In fact, in the same way that Sorain resembled his mother, Sai had turned out to look a lot like his father. The two had the same bright blue eyes, unruly and spiky silver hair, playful grin and to top it off, Sai copied everything his fathered did. "Yea mom! What's for breakfast?"

Sorain kept his head still, fixed directly down towards the ground as he reached out with his senses to try and formulate some sort of comprehension of where everyone was. He quickly gathered that his brother, as well as his father had just entered the room. From the sound of their voices they must have just awoken from a very strong sleep. Which was to be expected, Sai and his father had both been very casual people, sleeping in, keeping unorganized living spaces, generally being a douche.. Well, at least Sai was. Sorain lifted his face and pretended to be able to see his mom. Unlike Sai, Sorain was nothing like his father, instead he favored his mother and for that he was thankful. She was the closest thing this world had ever seen to a living angel, someone who held no sense of foul will nor hatred in her heart. She had taught him everything that he knew up to this point about surviving in the world with eyes such as his. She had told him that although his eyes restricted his sight, they gave him a gift that few would ever obtain in their life, the ability to see without ones eyes. This fact alone made his mother suspect that he would be best suited as a Taijutsu fighter, though the road would be difficult in the end it would reap the best results.
Sorain raised his eye brow at his families inquisition as to what was for breakfast, with three short sniffs he instant got all the answers he needed, "Bacon, ham, eggs, apple pie, saki for dad, and I think toasted bread" He said out loud almost exactly as his mother placed that exact meal on the table.
She clapped her hands once and ordered silence from the table, "Now, lets all wish for Ame and Sai to have good first day." She said closing her eyes and whispering a short prayer, as soon as she was done she opened her eyes again and began to distribute the food across the table. "Hikaru, can you please pour the drinks? I made some tea, its on the counter, I also set out the saki you like"
Sorain sat silently, his hear was still beating unusually fast in anticipation for what was to happen today. He made a mental pact that no matter what happened he would not allow his brother to help or rescue him. He would run or fall on his own instincts alone. If at the end of the day he found out his fangs weren't strong enough to survive in the Shinobi world, then so be it.

Sai sniffed the air before turning to look at his brother, his eyebrows pulled tightly together in confusion at how Sorain could tell exactly what was to be served by just smelling the air. To him it was only just a jumbled waft of deliciousness. But the boy quickly shook it from his mind as his mother brought the food before them, his bare hand instantly shooting out to dig into the apple pie as is. However his attempt was thwarted by a stab from his father's toe against his side, "Patience is a virtue, now chillax before I hang you from the ceiling and roast you for dinner." Hikaru said with a soft chuckle as he rose from his seat and went to get the tea and saki, "Bleeeeh! Saki is disgusting! It has such a horrid smell and I bet it even tastes just as horrible. Rather drink out of a toilet bowl." Sai retorted in a whiny voice, his arms crossed tightly over his chest as he stuck out his tongue and screwed his eyes tight.
Shaking his head, Hikaru made his way back to the table, his hands carefully balancing the tea pot as he slurped a bit of saki straight of the bottle, stopping only when he noticed Hatsuyuki was giving him a nasty glare. "Heh, sorry hun, couldn't resist." The man chuckled, his body falling back into his seat the moment after he set the tea pot. Keeping a smiling face for his wife, Hikaru poured a cup of tea for Sai, then Sorain, and as he did the same for Hatsuyuki his free hand poured a sliver of saki into Sorain's cup. Still smiling, he sat back down in his seat and then poured himself a cup of saki, sure that his wife hadn't seen anything as well as neither of his two sons, Sai was too busy devouring his food to notice anything else but what his hands were grabbing next and Sorain... There was no worries their. "Well. Drink up boys! Today you two will begin your path to become real men, me and your mother wish you luck on your first day."

Sorain sat motionless in front of the table, when you cant see, it made little sense to move unnecessarily. Only by remaining completely still did he give himself the best chances of capturing all the hints that the outside world gave to him in order for him to understand his surroundings. He sat pationtly, letting his foot be spread onto his plate, his mother had always made sure to seperate each part of the food so that he could easily eat his food without just mushing everything together. She also took special note to add an extra helping of pork to the menu... Sorains favorite. Sorain's face twitched at the bittern bungant smell of saki entered his nostril for only a split seccond before being over taken by the smell of his mothers tea. His father was trying to slip him saki agian. For some reason that Sorain never knew, Hikaru had always wanted a son with whom he could enjoy a drink with, seeing as though Sai, his golden boy, never opted in for it, Hikaru had made it a personal mission to see to it that Sorain aquired the taste for the bitter sweet drink. Wishing to apease his fathers wishes, or maybe simply to have something over Sai, Sorain took the cup and brought it to his mouth slowly before downing the entire thing in one gulp. He turned his head towards where his father was seated, although Sorain could not see, he did try his best to make sure that he kept normal tendices to put everyone one ease. One of them being to make sure that his face was turned in the direction of whom he was speaking to.
"Thank you father" He said shortly before bowing his head, he imagined that his mother would take that gratitude as a response to his fathers good luck wishes and not for the drink. Sorains body began to get fuzzy, warm, and all around heavy. It was something that even at this age he had grown to expect, this was not the first time his father had slipped him a dose. He didnt like the feeling, but he didnt hate it either so he decided that he would continue to drink the stuff to appease his father, at least for now.
Sorain began to eat his food, taking very careful to lean very close to the plate as to not run the risk of the food dropping form the sticks. He ate quickly, something that was more out habit than anything else. In order for him to eat properly, he had to have a systematic timed rhythm to his hand motions to avoid dropping and spilling, it just so happened that this rhythm was rather fast compared to normal people, not that he would know. Once he was finished, Sorain turned his head to his mother and speak shyly across the table, "Mom. Could you help me with something?" He asked her before lowing his face back down toward the table. Without his eyes Sorain never had any preundestanding of human expressions, especially not physical ones, yet some how he still managed to develop the same manor isms that most normal kids would.
Hatsuyuki raised both eye brows as the unexpected question, however as soon as she thought about it she quickly understood what it was that he was asking of her, "Sure Ame, meet me in the court yard right after breakfast" She said, hurrying to finish her meal. Normally Hatsuyuki was not one for rude table manners, in fact she had scolded the boys several times for such things, even Sorain. But today she knew she had a lot on her plate. She needed to get her sons ready to go off the academy as well as meet with the villages sages. She and her husband had been summoned for reasons she did not yet know, she only prayed that there news was not too bad.

Sai's head peeked up curiously, tilting to the side to look at his other and then back at his brother. For a moment he opened his mouth to say something but then let it close again as though he had forgotten what he was about to say. Slowly, in a manner that almost made the action seem like a strain, the boy's forehead pulled together as though confused and worried and his bright blue eyes darted back and forth between his mother and brother until he had to stop suddenly. Shaking his head rapidly, his head pressed tight against the palms of his hands as he groaned at the self created dizziness. After he recovered, Sai looked back up at the duo, "Can I join? I wanna join! I'm going to join! Yay! I'm joining, k!" The boy said rapidly, not leaving room for either his brother or mother to protest verbally.
However his father still managed to silence the boy with a swift swat to the back of the head, his head shaking as he leaned over to his son, his arm reaching to wrap around the boy's neck affectionately before tightening into a half-nelson. "Leave your brother be, would you? Or at least allow him to answer you before you answer for him. Now sssh, and eat your pie." Hikaru said, shoving a slice of pie into Sai's mouth when he opened it to protest. "Brr ah un't tu'ah ja'n!! Vrr's mmrmmr mrmmrm air!" Sai continued to protest with the pie still in his mouth, only to be finally silenced as his father hefted him to his shoulder and left the kitchen, "I'll be back after I get this one into his own clothes." Hikaru said with a chuckle, giving Sai a slight spank as he continued out the room, "I thought I told you to stop stealing Sorain's and my clothes? How in the hell did you even get my shirt again in the first place?! Where are your clothes?" Hikaru's scolding could be still heard even as he continued into the rest of the home.

After the two were gone Sorain turned to his mother with a face of longing, signaling to her that he was ready an axious to proceed with their plans. His mother shook her head passively before sliding her chair back and heading towards the back room. The moment she was gone Sorain quickly sprung up and moved as quickly as he could manage to the court yard. The court yard was one of his favorite places to be. Covered by trees the sun rarely radiated through, something that Sorain had always been thank full for. Being blind, he detested anything in which he could feel and be aware of its existence, yet have no way to tangibly locate it. It was like the suns rays permiated his body from an unknown source that no matter how strong his sense he could never pinpoint its exact location nor imagine what it looked like. All he had ever heard was that the sun was a large round object in the sky, a concept that he up until this point still had yet to be ably to properly imagine.
Sorain moved himself to the center of the court yard where his mother shortly met him. In her arms she held a black Kimono with a grey Kabuki. Sorain held his arms out and allowed his mother to dress him in the robes. She quickly undressed him and swapped out his night clothing for the new Kimono set. Being blind, bashfullness was one thing he was lucky enough to not have so even standing here in the open being dressed did nothing in the way of his humility. After he was finished Sorain practiced moving his body, the loose fitting kimono felt as though it responded with each of his movements with pure grace. Sorain smiled brightly, glad that he would be able to start his acadmy training with the proper gear. His mother, whom had taught him to function with his disability, had told him that the key to managing as a Taijutsu master was the clothing. The best way to effectively battle was to wear clothing that was easy and confortable to move in. In this case, Sorain could already tell the difference.

"Why can't I wear what I want?!" Sai demanded in a grumbling tone, his face turned into a upset pout as he stomped his way to the front door of the house, his father following close behind with his eyes locked on him to make sure he didn't sneak back into the rooms. During the time that Sorain had been changing, Hikaru had been struggling to strip Sai of the stolen clothes and force him into the appropriate clothing. Unfortunately for Sai, the clothes were tight and uncomfortably new, though they were fashionable with black battle gi that sported a decal of a eagle flying across the legs in a blur of red, black ninja shoes, and dark red shirt sporting a black cross and black unzipped jacket. But none of that mattered to the boy who was only interested in being comfortable in his own mess, "Because what you want to do is steal your brother's and my own clothes! And I'm not letting that fly, so here's what we're going to do... You want to wear our stuff, right? I want you not to. Guess, you're not going to~" Hikaru chimed happily.
Once again Sai pouted and stomped his feet before throwing himself against the door in frustration, sliding down it's frame to sit on the floor with a loud grumble. "That's not fair." He whined. "That's life." Hikaru retorted. "But can't I just wear the shirt?!" The boy pleaded, his face quivering like a sad puppy. "We can say you did, but not." Hikaru replied nonchalantly as he picked something in his finger nails and flicked it to the side. "Where is Sorain! I want to go already." Sai exclaimed. "Now that's the attitude~ If I knew not letting you do what you want would make you want to go to school, I'd done this sooner." Hikaru chuckled before turning to look to see if Sorain was coming.

Sorain ran through the house to where his brother and father had been waiting, as soon as he got withen range for them to hear him he spoke, which was something that he had not yet mastered. He couldn't see, so to him as long as you were close enough for him to hear what you were saying it didnt really matter how close you were. "You ready? Lets go." He said with little enthusasim. Although he was exited about starting his life as a Shinobi, he was also worried that he would get to class and not be able to keep up with the other students, or worse not be able to keep up with his brother. Sorain folded his arms into his sleeves, realizing that this would not solve his never ending question as to what to do with his hands when he was idle. Lacking basic manorisms, sometimes Sorain found himseld awkwardly unaware what to do with himself. Where to look, how to hold his head, what to do with his hands. At least with these longs sleeves he had found a solution to one of those problems. The bandages over his eyes covered another. Sorain tilted his head towards the ground, awaiting a response. He just wanted to get it over with.
Sorians mother reentered the room behind Sorain, "Be great and be careful Ame, Sai.. Behave yourself" She said forcing a grin onto her face, sure that she would undoubtably be getting a few words of concern about at least one of her boys today, strangly it was not the one going into battle training with eyes that she was worried about.

"Yes mom! Let's go Sorain!" Sai exclaimed happily, his hand quickly gripping his brother's own before charging out of the home before his parents could hold them any longer. Chuckling gleefully, he led his brother far away from the house and onto the road that led towards the center of the village, from their they would be able to continue traveling to the academy. It was a long trip and it did nothing to help that Sai constantly wanted to deviate from the path to observe some random critter or plant, but today his adrenaline to start at the academy had his usually scattered mind on one target, and one target alone.
As soon as the two were far enough from the house, Sai quickly dropped Sorain's hand. He knew he was supposed to hold it to help his brother walk since he couldn't see but neither one of them liked it. It was embarrassing for Sai and it was more then likely the same and also degrading for Sorain, so as soon as they were out of sights distance the two stopped walking hand in hand and instead just walked near enough and talked so Sorain could find his own way. It wasn't the most ideal situation and left Sorain in all different predicaments that Sai couldn't begin to understand but it was way better then walking together holding hands. "Aren't you excited, Ame? Our first day in the academy! This marks the first of six years training to be shinobi for the Water Country~ I just can't wait."
