Jiro didn't seem exactly pleased to be yanked out of the house again. But it was more than his typical reason of just being disturbed int he first place. Running a hand through his mass of braided locks that were coiled into a thick bun at the nape of his neck, he glanced over at Akiya in irritation. "I swear, you're annoying like this... I was busy!"
"Yeah I can see that." A soft smile showed as he looked over the more formal kimono he wore, black puffy (for lack of a better word in Akiya's mind) pants showing under the dark blue hem. Held in either hand was a large fan, that were constantly being spun as Jiro debated hurting something to show how unhappy he was. It was rare for Jiro to practice his blade dancing again, especially with his injuries and the caution that had been given to him. But Jiro was always too stubborn for his own good and did as he pleased. Thankfully, he allowed Sah to look over him while he danced just in case. "It won't be bad to get more fresh air.. besides, I want to get you some more outfits for your dancing and there's this great little dancing shop close by the Stationary Store... so we're going there."
The boy was set to complain but in the end only sulked more. There was no reasoning with Akiya when he got like that anyway so the best thing to do was just go along with it. Then the torture would be over sooner... least that was his hope.

Chailyn's face was still a bit pale from the annoucement she'd gotten in ballet class. A recital had been enough of a surprise. But a solo in the recital that she was chosen to dance? She blindly stared at the ground in front of her as she was escorted through the street, being held in her mother's arms.
"It won't be bad, sweetie. You'll do a wonderful job. Just pretend no one's watching," Anemone said, as she attempted to ease the nerves of her tale. She gave a bit of a sigh, Chai was taking it a bit harder than when the teacher had asked for Ane's permission.
It was rare that the children got to wear anything but their uniform to class. Today had only been a time for them to learn about the recital. So Chailyn had dressed in loose fitting black pants and a fluffly white sweater though she was wearing her ballet slippers. She closed her eyes nuzzling into her mother's arms.
"Come on, we're here. Are you ready to find a costume?" she asked gently. She didn't get much of a response as she walked inside and set Chailyn down.

When they finally arrived, Jiro looked around curiously. Seems they weren't the only ones there, he noted before he wandered about to try to find a n oriental section. The rest of the costumes and such there didn't truly interest him in the least. But since Akiya was in the rare mood of wanting to buy him something in Gaia instead of back home, he decided he couldn't waste this rare chance. Plus, his parent had allowed him out without complaining about him moving around in his condition or tell him that he needed to stay in bed a bit longer. If nothing else, that was a bit shock... and he was glad that Akiya was giving him this chance to do things at his own pace without a fight.
His eyes flicked back towards the other two who were in the store, looking at the small girl who looked like someone had told her that her favorite pet had died. She smelt like one of them... a Tale... hmmm. Interesting.
While the boy wandered about, Akiya looked at the sad little girl and her guardian. Someone didn't look exactly pleased to be there either. Though he was the type to just open his mouth and say something, he wasn't sure if this was a case where he should or not... but... he just couldn't keep his mouth shut. "Seems like I'm not the only one with an unwilling child to watch over today." His voice was gentle as to not startle them too much. It was one thing to have a stranger speaking to them, but once people saw the almost eight foot angel, they tended to freak out sometimes.. and he wanted to make sure it didn't happen... as much as he could.

Chailyn looked up once in the shop looking at the clothes trying to forget that she'd have to perform in front of people. She didn't notice Jiro at first, it took her a moment to calm down enough that she could see other people. She took a breath gazing at him curiously before Akiya spoke. She blinked looking up at the very tall angel. Her mouth fell into an open o as she stared in awe.
"Oh, she's just nervous. Her ballet teacher told her she'd be dancing solo in the recital. She's not taking it well," Anemone replied. She gave a smile at Chailyn, turning her head to greet the person. She was slightly taken aback by his height but otherwise she found nothing to freak out about. "Hi, I'm Anemone. This is Chailyn," she added.
A squeak of a hello left the pale face. She gulped blushing as color flooded into her face. "Hi..." she murmured. She hesitantly let go of her mother's hand waving up at Akiya before scooting off to look at the clothes, or Jiro.
Now that she was jolted out of her shock, she was much more interested in looking at the older tale. She had the ever so slight feeling that she knew him, though she seemed to get that whenever she saw a tale. It was more of a vague voice in her head saying they came from the same place, the stationary shop.
"Hi," she chirped out, coming up beside Jiro. She offered a smile to him. She could find a ballet outfit later. She was sure he was more interesting...and she wanted to put off getting anything for the recital as long as possible. If she didn't have anything, she couldn't possibly be forced to dance.

"Ah, I can understand why she'd be hesitant then. Usually the first couple of solo performances are a bit scary." Nodding with a sense of understanding, he looked down at Chai and then at Anemone before he bowed before them. "My name is Akiya and the one who looks rather sore about leaving his practicing is my son, Jiro. It's a pleasure to meet you."
Jiro had been ruffling through several stacks of outfits when he sensed someone coming his way. He was rather quiet for the most part because all of his attention was focused on trying to find something that didn't look outrageously stupid. Yes, he was rather picky about what he would wear anywhere, no matter who simple the garment... sometimes. But since this was for dancing, he had to be really careful he didn't pick something that he'd regret later. When spoken to, he turned his head and then looked down at the one who had adressed him, his braids shifting into his vision for a second before he tossed them over his shoulder. "Hello..."
She seemed nice enough, since she had come up and said hi to him.. with a smile no less... so he returned the gesture. "I'm Jiro. And you are?" Maybe he had learned some more people skills from his other meetings with Tales.

"It's nice to meet you, Akiya. I'd be hesitant too if it were me," she admitted after he finished his bow. She almost felt like she should curtsy but thought it'd look rather silly since she wasn't wearing a dress or skirt.
Her blue eyes meandered over to Jiro, he was a rather handsome boy and she'd never seen someone with two headwings that were different. Unlike Chailyn, who seemed oblivious, she seemed somewhat afraid he might get angry with the smaller tale. She didn't think he'd hit Chailyn or anything, but she didn't think Jiro had a lot of patience.
Chailyn continued smiling up at Jiro, "I'm Chailyn. You're tall like Vidya...seems like everyone is growing up." She was musing aloud wondering what it was like to grow. She didn't think she'd grow up for a very long time though. "Do you dance, too?" she asked, this question causing her voice to become softer. She didn't want him to be embarrassed or anything. It didn't seem like something boys would admit to easily.
Purple irises seemed fixated to his eyes, finding it new that someone had two different colored eyes. He had two different headwings...and his red hair seemed to have two braids of different colors on either side of his face. She titled her head before noticing that on the side of the black wing his braid turned white, making the white wing contract with the black braid. She seemed rather entranced by all the differences of Jiro. "You have such different colors...it'd take a rainbow to draw you..." she randomly announced.

"I've never been good with solo anything. I get all jittery and it's never a nice feeling, to be honest. But if she's good at what she does and can feel confident in it, I'm sure she'd do fine." He wasn't expecting her to bow or curtsy or anything towards him. It was something he knew; that others didn't follow the same customs as he did. And there was nothing wrong with it at all. Seeing where her gaze had wandered to, he chuckled a bit. "Don't worry. Jiro won't strike her or anything... he seems gruff but he's not a brute.. without just cause, of course. But never to females."
He hoped Jiro wouldn't do anything like be harsh to her. He did have a tendency to say things without thinking, but he had said he was working on it...
"pleasure to meet you.. Chailyn." He had hesitated a bit at saying her name because he didn't wish to mess it up. He was prone to with new names for a bit. "Well... I'm a bit taller than Viddy, sometime she wasn't exactly happy about.. but I suppose. I wouldn't know who else is growing. I'm not... in the loop, I guess you could say..." His fingers lightly scratched just under his bun as he wondered why she seemed so interested in him. But then again, most were when they first met him. "..... a little..." He had never told anyone outside his family that he danced... he already got grief for having long hair and liking to wear kimonos. If anyone else gave him an issue about dancing, he'd gut them. Those were his thoughts on the matter.
A brow arched as she continued to look at him, the purple in his red eye flaring for a moment in contemplation before he just allowed her to do as she wished. But a faint smirk of amusement twitched onto his face at the mention of the rainbow. "I would feel bad for any rainbow that was used to color me... my main colors are red, black and white... minor are gold and purple..." But.. when he thought about it, he supposed he could see her view of things. So he looked her over himself. "I like your outfit... do you belly dance or some other kind of dance?"

"I'm sure she'll do fine. She has a few rehersals before the recital so she has time. She's just not used to groups and the few times she's been in a group of people she seems to delibrately hide herself. Hopefully she'll grow out of it," Anemone started. She gave a nod and smiled when he announced that Jiro wouldn't hurt Chailyn. She blamed her over caution feelings on the sick feeling in her stomach that stemmed from a bad feeling in her heart. The angelic wings of Akiya had reminded her of Michael and she couldn't help missing him. "I hope I don't seem distracted." She'd apologize if she did, as that wasn't her intent but her mind was beginning to wander.
Chailyn didn't seem to notice his hesitance to say her name and she thought he said it just fine. "You can call me Chai if you want. Maybe I'll be tall like you when I grow up," she giggled the last part. Somehow she couldn't see herself tall like Jiro.
"As long as they didn't use a pink rainbow, otherwise you might look like cotton candy." Her mind had become somewhat random so she was glad that he asked about dancing. "I'm in ballet. Mom says I have to learn the basics before I learn other dances. Belly dancing looked kind of fun but I'd really like to learn how to dance with fans," she replied. She thought it was neat that Jiro danced, too. Maybe he could teach her or they could learn a dance together.

"Children are always shy for awhile. Though there are bolds ones, there are some that just... aren't. Jiro isn't the type to really want to deal with people. He doesn't run away from people but he's a bit more anti-social than most... he's getting steadily better so I think if it's something that's constantly worked on, she can work to get over it. But it takes time, truly." Normally, he didn't allow his wings to be out for any reason. Not only because it made it harder for him to get through doors but also because people stared and it was something he had grown weary of early on in life. But Jiro, who rarely got to see them, requested that they fly down to Gaia at the very least for forcing him out, so he agreed. Said wings shifted a bit before they tried to fold in more tightly to his back so they didn't give him any grief. It was hard to move around with such huge wings.. but they needed to be big to support his body properly. "Distracted? I didn't notice any distraction from you.." And he hadn't in the least, so her statement left him a bit baffled. Well, rather baffled, but he wouldn't say that.
"I don't have a shortened version of my name... so I'm sorry but you'll have to call me Jiro. But I'll call you Chai... it sounds like a cute name..." Though he did have a nickname. But it was only used by members of his family.. or else he'd get rather pissy about it. "Tall like me? Am I truly that tall?" She was shorter than him, Chai was, and Viddy had as well. But he was nowhere near as tall as Khia. But since he didn't see other Tales often, he didn't realize how his own height might be viewed by others. "If you are, then you'll be lucky, I suppose. You never know until it happens."
His nose wrinkled in distaste at the mention of the shade pink in any way to him and his coloring. Yes, he was red, but pink he would never be. He didn't really like pink much. "I don't do ballet. I know how to do fan dancing.. and sword dancing... my style is more towards the asian influence.. but I have alot of practice I need to do, actually..."

"I'm sure that both Jiro and Chailyn will get better at being social. I wouldn't expect either to be a social butterfly like Vidya though. I seem to be more of a wallflower observing things. I think dance will help Chailyn find confidence and some grace." She gave a nod of her head agreeing with Akiya. Her face flushed a bit when he said she hadn't seemed distracted, feeling as though she had put her foot in her mouth. Her stomach knotted slightly feeling nervous as her headwings popped out giving a flutter. "I'm sorry. I'm thinking about something else and now that I feel like I've put my foot in my mouth, so to speak..." she trailed off motioning to her headwings. She gave a nervous laugh.
"Jiro's a nice name, don't be sorry," was the first thing Chailyn said. She gave a smile when he said her nickname sounded cute. She liked compliments though she figured everyone did. "Well, you're not as tall as Linneas but you're taller than everyone else I've met...I think." She paused trying to picture everyone she knew standing next to one another. She couldn't tell who was taller though.
"Sword dancing? What's that like?" she asked unable to imagine dancing with a sword. She didn't relate it to fan dancing and unless there was a magic sword that grew hands and feet...sword dancing didn't seem possible.

"I have the feeling they will as well. it takes time and it's nothing to be forced." He knew better by now than to force Jiro into doing anything he didn't want to do. The fights they got into were so tiresome after awhile. "Dance is a very fun tool for advancing oneself. Jiro decided he liked dancing on his own.. but he's shy about it and doesn't let anyone see him.. which is a shame. Spying on one's child is not a very good pastime to have..." nd he hated having to sneak around to try to see him dance. it wasn't a bad pastime ye he was fearing what others would say. Jiro always worried too much sometimes... Seeing her headwings, he gave a smile. "Ah so you're angelic. Nothing wrong with that. Did I remind you of someone or something? Is that why you were distracted?"
Nodding when she said his name was fine, he was curious as to what the grin was for. He was just being honest.. did it have some other meaning? Unlike most, he was never sure hot to take compliments.. so he shied away from them whenever he could. "Well, Linny is a teen so he's much older than I am.. it would make sense that he's taller as well. I've just recently grown.. so that could be why...
"Sword dancing is rather difficult.. right now I can only use one blade and not even a real one now.." He used to use one but he had a bit of an issue so he was banned from using them for awhile. "But it's fun and it has rather graceful movements.. once you get them down..."

"No, it's best they learn to on their own. I wouldn't want her to feel forced and end up being reclusive. I'm sure there will be times when she needs friends," she stated giving a nod. She smiled in agreement with Akiya. Dancing was a fun tool though she rarely did it anymore herself. She had when she first came to Gaia but now it seemed she didn't have time.
"A little spying can be the only way to find things out sometimes. I hope I won't ever have to spy on Chailyn but with children, especially as they grow up...sharing seems to become harder." She didn't much like the thought of her daughter growing up to keep secrets, especially ones that could be dangerous or worse. She didn't want her thoughts to run away, Chailyn hadn't grown up.
Anemone was caught a bit off guard when he said angelic. "Me? No. At least, I don't think so. I don't remember my father so I suppose he could've been but my mother never said he was. Actually, you did remind me of someone I haven't seen for awhile. Someone I miss quite a lot, that's all." She was trying to minimize it. She didn't want him to think she was heart-broken or something.
"Well, you're still taller than me. You can always be taller than me if you want," Chailyn offered. It was a geniune offer, since she didn't realize she couldn't exactly chose to be shorter than him or vice versa. She didn't think she would ever grow to be as tall or taller than him though. So it didn't much matter in her opinion.
"Oh, so it's like dancing with fans...except a sword is pointy and heavy, right?" she asked. She idly wondered if he could teach her how to sword dance after she got older. She was positive her mother would hate the idea now until she grew a little. "Ballet helps with grace, maybe it would make it easier to dance with a sword."

"True enough, but I'd rathe rnot feel like I have to sneak around in my own home." His gaze drifted back over to the children and he just watched them. Normally, Jiro was just.. skiddish. Nothing that was obviously seen, it was just in his overall aura. Seems his little imp was maturing a little bit if he was at least trying to be a bit more social than he usually was.
Blinking, he looked back at Anemone as he said she didn't think so. That was a rather odd thing to say considering that she had angelic wings attached to her head. If she wasn't angelic, then how did she get them? Hot glue them to her skull? He was rather curious and his brow shifted a bit. But if she didn't know, she didn't know and it was rather pointless trying to ask more. "Ah.. well not all angelic types are the same. Except with wings, that's all." Since he wasn't the type who was going to pry terribly into someone's past unless he knew them rather well, he wasn't going to ask. Rolling his shoulders aburptly, he made a face as he recalled his wings, feeling so much lighter when they had disappeared from sight, feeling the familiar heat of the angelic wing tattoo that was now as his back.. something that wouldn't be seen anyway.
A faint smirk crossed Jiro's lips at Chai's offer. So innocent, in a way that almost made his teeth hurt. Gods, was he jaded already? Sometimes he just didn't even know for sure. If she did manage to somehow get taller than him, it would be an amusing thing to see to be sure. "Well thank you for the offer."
Scratching his cheek, he nodded. "Yeah, it's almost like dancing with fans. The basics are rather the same but a lot more balance and stability is needed as well. Cutting oneself is something to be avoided at all costs truly." His nose wrinkled a bit as he thought about ballet before he shook his head. "Perhaps, but it's truly not my thing..."

Anemone would've put her headwings down but her embarrassment caused them to flutter. She had a habit of forgetting about then when she was comfortable, only to have them pop out when she became nervous. She couldn't explain why she had them, she didn't know. The only thing she thought she remembered about her father was his voice. It seemed to her that if her father had been an angel, her mother would've mentioned it.
"I wouldn't want to feel like I had to sneak around either. I don't think I could though. I'd probably run into my other children doing the spying," she joked with a smile. She watched carefully as his wings disappeared, something she'd never seen other angels do.
"You're welcome," Chailyn chirped. She tilted her head listening to him talk about sword dancing. It sounded difficult. She really couldn't imagine it which made it seem even more difficult. She shook her head, "It doesn't sound like it'd be fun." She was slightly put off by the fact he didn't think about ballet more. She shrugged though, she doubted most boys would think about it.
Dancing was dancing, whether it was ballet or sword dancing, whether you were boy or girl. It didn't seem like it should matter at all. It would be kind of funny to see a boy in a tutu but her teacher said boys didn't wear them. "So you just like fan and sword dancing?"

He was always on the lookout for others like him; angelic types whom he didn't really get to see often. Unless he went home tot he Aerial Fortress, but he hated doing that. Going there spelt out one thing Akiya absolutely avoided. Dealing with his grandfathers. "Typically, I don't like to sneak around. And considering how tall I am, it's not exactly the easiest of feats sometimes." A faint grin appeared on his face as he recalled how many times he got stuck somewhere in the house as he tried to sneak around because some parts were not just built for him. "Yeah, I always run into one or two of my kids.. they find it amusing.. to say the least."
"It is rather fun. Only if you're into it, I suppose. But there's also dancing that involves long trains of ribbons. I've seen it done and it looked rather lovely. Maybe I could ask the one who danced for me so show me a few moves to show you or something.. or bring her here. Whatever is easiest." Normally, he wouldn't just offer. Maybe his mind had become warped from growing up some, he just didn't even know anymore. "I guess I like dancing that involves just a bit of danger in it..." Though he wasn't keen on ballet, the thought of wearing tights sorts made his stomach cramp, he wouldn't be against watching it being done.
Dance was dance and all dance was graceful in its own way. Unless the one dancing wasn't very good and then it just became painful. "I've done traditional dancing that requires wearing a rather long sleeved outfit... I haven't seen too many different styles, only what's available where I live. I would like to see more.. just out of curiousity."
