Do they just keep track of how many log into the game? Or do they check how long we're on for, and what we're are doing?
In other words, on days when all i do is run around and pick up my freebies, and buff a few people, is that helping?

I think they do, but don't quote me on it. You can always ask during the next zOMG! Dev. Meeting.

They actually use a number of algorithms to determine usership. Known ones include the Total time played by users, the number of players to log on daily, the number of times a player logs on daily, and zOMG! population against active Gaia log-ins.

oh, so does that mean that it isn't the actual number, that its just an estimate?...hmm, that would explain a lot lol

Well the point of multiple measurements is so you can't "finesse" the numbers. xd

What we need is more freaking event in game!! Or new badges! Maybe both! If they released even if just one recipe or rare item in game, people would crowd all over the place and try to get their slice of the pie.
