++Not Quite Human++
Ulmuka, while accustomed to wearing a human form for parties and other events, is never truly comfortable in his skin. Being a bird most of the time he has a tendency to use birdlike movements. He stares an awful lot and when he does blink, his eyes blink at different times. He hops sideways a lot of the time if he needs to dodge or move out of the way. He tilts his head very far to the side when confused and is completely capable of turning his head 270 degrees around like an owl. When he eats he will crunch messily on his food and tilt his head all the way back to swallow. Often times he holds his arms close to his chest, used to only having wings most of the time. As time goes on he should become more accustomed to living as a humanoid full-time.

++Eager to Please.. his Dad++
Muka knows that his father thinks of him as 'damaged goods'. He's well aware that not being born a demon is viewed as a disability in his father's eyes. He doesn't feel offended or shamed and cares for his father very much, but he is very eager to try and please the elder demon. If his father asks him to do something he will do it, no questions. If his father makes a suggestion to him then he must follow it. He reveres his father and his success quite a bit and wants to be a productive member of the family.

++Well Trained++
Being raised in high society has taught him the proper manners, responses and expectations of such a social class. It has also given him rather expensive tastes. He enjoys expensive clothes, expensive shoes and expensive meals. He doesn't have the societal bias of others and seems to not realize that the social difference may affect friends of his that do not have as much money. He is very generous and will buy his friends very expensive gifts on a whim just because he thought of them. He doesn't realize that this may come off as flashy or showing off.

++Very Affectionate++
Ulmuka has a tendency to be very affectionate. He doesn't distinguish male or female when dolling out his affections. He will only slightly figure out if someone is bothered by his up close and personal tendencies. He loves to hug, hold people close and do things that others may reserve only for loved ones and ghoul/boilfriends. There is nothing sexual in his intentions and they only mean that he likes you immensely. Anyone unfettered by his outward affections will definitely become a BESTIE.

++Unintentional Leader++
Ulmuka seems to draw or collect people. His enigmatic personality seems to appeal to many people and when others can't decide where to go or what to do he will just grab everyone and decide for them all.

++Un-Academic++
Muka is not much interested in school work and may even have his father pick his classes for him if he can't decide. He's just not interested in schoolwork very much. He's much more interested in making friends and experiencing the energies of as many different people as he can. He's insatiably curious and also hungry.

++His Reason++
Muka is sick of being cooped up at home all the time. His species insatiable hunger needs to be fed! His greatest wish is to make it to the human world but in the meantime he wants to meet as many varied species in Halloween as he can. He wants to live by experience and master his abilities!

++Family Reason++
Ulmuka's father finds his son lacking. He's not a demon and he's barely normal in his humanoid form. His father would like to see his son refined into a more functional member of society.

FEAR: FEAR Talons - Muka can focus his fear into his talons to strike his enemy with extra melee damage. This works in his humanoid or true form. His isn't very strong though. Being a bird he has delicate bones and natural he has more power in his beak than his claws.

Natural Ability: Shapeshifting - All strix can shift from their owl form into a humanoid one with practice. This isn't always easy and Muka doesn't exactly have it mastered so he spends most of his alone time as an owl. When he attempts to shift he may get caught in a freaky 'in-between' form.

Physical Description:

Humanoid: He is tall and thin with an unmarred face. He has no scars or weird features in particular but he always has a creepy expression, an unnerving jagged grin, that rules out terms like 'attractive' or 'ugly'. He has human-like hands but short nasty looking taloned fingernails. Along with his expression are his wide golden eyes, staring, and often unblinking.

True Form: Muka's true form is that of a human-size beastial owl. It's rather wild and demonic looking with giant yellow eyes, a great wingspan and nasty looking talons. He is much more comfortable in this form, though he is required to be humanoid in school. As he ages, what some consider to be 'cute' about his natural form, should become more horrific and terrifying.

Eye Colour: Wide Yellow-ish gold eyes but instead of round pupils he should have vertically, slitted pupils.
Hair Colour/Style: Think of owl's feathers.
Color: White-Cream-Gold-Grey.
Style: Thick, fluffy. Sticks up, similar in style to a horned owl's feathers (or the Hen's Comb hairstyle from the gaia item 'Noel's Gift')
Skin Colour: Light grey
Clothing Style/Colours: He likes to wear clothing in whites, golds and beiges. Skinny cut pants, pointed dress shoes, with a bit of a 'well-dressed weird guy in the corner' kind of vibe.
Shirt: Long sleeve white shirt.
Vest: Slim fitting.. old fashioned style (Style similar to this, more form fitting). White pinstripe: Color ref
Pants: Skinny cut suit pants. White pinstripe. Studded black belt with skull buckle. Similar to this look but not jeans
Shoes: Pointy white dress shoes. Similar to the above reference or this one - Ref
Extra: He has a great pair of wings, rather large, with feathers that seem to match his hair color.

Whats the deal with the Incubus/Strix thing?

Once upon a time a Strix lady, drunk on a recent human meal, met a handsome demon who also seemed to be a little intoxicated. Thinking her to be a Reaper he did his incubus thing, with the charm and seduction and tricking her into the pumpkin patch... and only too late did discover that, EW, she was a monster! Boy, did she find it strange to wake up in the pumpkin patch! Her bird baby was a strix like herself and so she suckled him, as any Strix mother must, until he was strong enough to live without her and as soon as she could she sent the spawn away to live with his demon father. She was not the motherly type! Daddy dearest was slightly horrified by his monster spawn but somewhere in the hole where his demon heart resided, he felt a need to care for his 'helpless' and 'abandoned' son. Daddy already had tons of kids... why not one more?


He was given to his father as soon as his mother could pawn him off. His father was a little taken aback, not by a surprise baby, but that this one was so strange (and a MONSTER *gaspFORSHAMEgasp*). Being an incubus, his father has many children, so many that they are honestly very hard to keep track of. Muka is the only non-demon of all of his spawn. He was raised as a black sheep in his father's household and treated as if he were 'special needs'.

Because of his father's wealth and standing as a demon, Muka is definitely used to a higher quality of life. Yes, he is used to the nice clothes and a nice house but his judgement of others comes not from their rank in society, but by how his senses 'read' them. He spends all of his time with demons so they don't interest him very much. He would be intrigued by any strange demons he's never met but the idea of an incubus or succubus is just 'boring' to him. He is very interested in meeting the other species of Halloween because of his sheltered life.

His father would like to trick the world into thinking he doesn't have a monster child and has been known to try and trick others into believing that Muka is a demon as well. The boil has had contact with his mother, as he is her only child, and she has taught him things about her culture but she finds her son to be strange and blames this on his father (and vice versa).

Ulmuka doesn't seem to mind whatever his parents think of him. He's glad to have them in his life (as some boils and ghouls are alone in the world) and he likes having such a large family (even if he can't keep track of them) but his long term goal is to get to the human world and sate his hungers.

Does he have hobbies?

He is absolutely obsessed with anything from the human world. As it stands though, he doesn't have much of a collection. He only knows about humans from stories his parents have told him and has seen a few books or magazines. These small trinkets would be kept in a box in his room but he would be more than willing to share them with others, anything to get more people around him.

How would he deal with a crush or love?

He would LOVE to have someone crush or love him.. but only if they 'smelled' or 'tasted' right. If anyone's energy had the wrong vibe he would probably be repulsed. He's rather creepily affectionate with everyone and there is always a chance that he doesn't like the person for who they are inside, but how their energy tastes. I think even he would have a hard time discerning the feelings for himself. Whoever falls for him would also have to deal with the fact that he IS smelling and tasting on whoever walks by. He just can't help it.

For Faction/Race you need to pick one, either Monster or Demon! (ie, the same way you might breed a pikachu and an electrike, but the offspring can either be one or the other, not a pikatrike)

Also the mix of Demon + Monster would be very unusual, since they're at opposite ends of the social structure? Maybe see if there are other combinations you can make to achieve a similar character (Gluttony Avarice Demon + Tengu?) ...Although I am a fan of Strix! (you're not a member of the watchmen fandom are you?)

Thanks. I will change it.. I guess I only put Strix as the 'species' because physically he is more like his mother than his father. His powers are definitely demonic.

Is he a Strix or an Incubus? I really can't tell which he's supposed to be. IF he is meant to be an Incubus (like you have in the written description), you might want to consult the given standard for the race made when Altair was made official.

So I think I finalized it.. and yes.. he's a MONSTER.

I believe I removed all references to him being a demon from his bio... but his parentage remains the same.

I will be writing some little sample stories about him that can hopefully fill in some blanks.

Well I assumed the higher the roll the more energy he can absorb. I would assume this has a parameter (like under a certain number would be epic!fail then the higher the number the more of an effect) because he definitely wouldn't be knocking anyone out in the beginning.. But that is a really good question that I need to look into a little more (battle system-wise).



I guess I could just take out the attractive all together because he really never has a 'calm', 'placid', or 'sexy' look. His expression is so permanently creepified that it really doesn't matter what he would look like calm. I guess by attractive I only meant that he doesn't have any large or offensive facial details.. no warts or growths or markings or scars.

The ability to shapeshift is an ability of the Strix monster. He would never be walking around the halls shifting. He is an odd ball though so anyone who became his friend may find themselves pranked or spooked by him (when anywhere he was allowed to) just being a goof and showing up as a guy with owl legs or an owl with a man's head. He would find it hysterical... even if he did it a hundred times as a prank and people got bored of it.... he'd probably still think it was hysterical! XD I wouldn't have him doing it all the time. I hate harping on things repeatedly in RP.

When I say 'black sheep' I refer only to the sense that he is in his own family. Others may not care and it may be common, but his father prides himself on being an overly successful incubus baby making machine.. and this one ISN'T a demon at all! I was going to do a post filling in the relationships and details of his immediate family, in which you'll see his dad does little more than treat him like he has some sort of disability, and his siblings seem rather okay with him overall. But he doesn't seem affected by the treatment in any way. He sort of treats everyone on an even keel. He would never even behave like someone who needed pity. Even if a friend said 'You let your dad talk to you like that?' his response would probably be along the lines of 'like what? *giggles at friend like THEY are a weirdo*'
