The blood flows in the blood flows out
Never again shall I doubt
you paint the sky the red of love
the crimson moon twinkles above
the rubies flow like rivers of red
taking away your fears and dread

the love i had the love i lost
my heart was taken consumed by the frost
it blackens and chills and thrills as it kills
it feeds on hate and those that are ill
shrouded in darkness inch by inch
it blocks out the light and destroys all bliss

gone was the love and the life that i had
gone was the red even from the blood shed
pain and suffering are all that remain
never again shall i be the same
but to the east a fiery light
it breaks through the shadows and brings forth light

That's not true. Poetry doesn't really follow rules, at least not all of it. Sure if you're writing in Iambic pentameter, you have to follow guildlines, but words do not have to be capitalized.
