Fiona was sitting on her bed, cross legged, playing with her senshi cellphone as she scrolled through the various contacts she had picked up over time. A couple of names caught her attention more than a few times: Gunn, Euterpe, Charonis, Taranis and last but not least Arsinoe. They were the few senshi she actually had met, the few that she actually had a real conversation with. She went up and down her list of 20 some odd names before letting her finger hit enter when it selected the highlighted Sailor Arsinoe. Up popped her option, to call or send a message.

She opted to send a message to him.

Arsinoe,

It's Denebola, I was thinking we could meet up at the bakery near Chinatown for some training. Meet up at 9?

xoxo - Dragonflies

She hit send quickly tucking her phone into her coat pocket before pulling herself up off her bed. She had a few hours to bundle up and head down the circuit she had started to patrol regularly. She grabbed her white scarf off of her dresser to bundle up more warmly as she headed out the door.

It took her an hour and a half to reach the bakery, something she had not anticipated but the weather had been nastier than she had imagined. Something didn't seem right about it but she shrugged it off, mother nature would do what she wanted.

Grabbing a snack from the bakery just before it closed she disappeared into the alleyway where she had her first battle lesson with Taranis, powered up and took to the roof. Soon she was sitting upon the bakery sign, much like that other sailor scout she had met a couple of nights ago. It was there that she decided she would wait for the senshi of Lanterns to arrive.

Having only just discovered that the strange phones the Senshi could use existed he was startled to feel his vibrating in whatever unknown space it lived in. Thankful that no one was around, though loathe to leave his little collection of music boxes, he called the phone and flipped it open.

He read over the message from Denebola a few times before nodding to himself. It wouldn't be a bad idea to go patrolling. He might learn a few new things and get to ask a few more questions.

Bundling up as best he could he headed out into the streets and a quiet corner he could power up in. Sailor uniforms weren't meant for moving about in the biting cold that had taken over the city. His only salvation lay in the small bit of heat his lantern gave him.

Warming his fingers he took to the roofs and quickly made his way to the bakery. It wasn't hard to find and he slowed as he neared the area. His phone told him someone was there, hopefully just Denebola, but he was still wary as he made his way onto the building's roof.

Denebola was thankful for the fact that her uniform covered more than most. Well actually it covered less than most of the other sailor scouts she had met but those had been boys, it would have been silly to see them running around in a skirt. Still her stockings were long and provided enough coverage, though she would've liked more and she had thought enough to take a scarf off before transforming so she could wear it over her uniform. It wasn't much but it still provided more warmth than some of the other outfits she had seen.

She shivered as a particularly cold gust of wind swept by her and she tightened the white scarf around her neck, next time she'd have to bring another pair of gloves or something. Destiny City had some nasty winters but this was by far the worst, it was practically unnatural!

She heard him before she saw him, because her back was to most of the roof. She turned her head casually as though she was unafraid that some dark soldier was creeping behind her. A smile spread across her lips as she placed her palm against the sign and stood up.

"I was beginning to worry you weren't gonna show," she teased placing her hands on her hips.

"Not always easy to sneak out of places you're suppose to be staying in." He looked down at her, holding the lamp up so he could see her better in the low light. "Has anything happened lately?"

He hadn't been paying attention to anything else on the phone's screen except for Denebola's location so he wasn't sure if there was anything around they should be paying attention to. It was cold enough he hoped that maybe evil would take a night off because of the weather.

She pressed her lips together at his reply, that sentence could give a lot of information away. She shook her head, it didn't matter it wasn't like they were purposely trying to keep things from one another. She figured that right now, it was a don't ask don't tell sort of thing. "Mmm, right now? No but I can feel some activity over that way," she told him pointing north.

"Doesn't feel too strong so," she shrugged turning her head towards the damp aura she felt. "I'm guessing it's just another youma," she nodded. "The best way to train is to do some patrolling and see if there's anything about," she paused biting down on her bottom lip. "Though if there's anything but a youma, I do not suggest that you attempt to fight it. The negaverse is dangerous and they're physically stronger than we are so..." she trailed off as she remembered her pathetic battle against a captain.

"Do not fight an officer alone." That was something she could not stress enough. It was the truth and fact of the matter, they were relatively weak alone. They needed to stand together and survive.

He smirked slightly. "I'm not alone." She was there and depending on what sort of Negaverse agent they ran across the two of them might be able to take it. It was a gamble but two against one was far better odds. It was likely though that his luck would hold out and he'd continue not to run into the Negaverse for a while longer.

"If there's youma we should check it out. The last thing any of us need is more of those things running about free." He hadn't liked the last one and for all that he didn't really care of the city's population was dumb enough to get eaten by one he didn't want other senshi getting eaten.

Her serious look faded as a smile came across her lips. "You're right," she nodded walking over to the edge of the roof. "Two is better than one, especially if they can work together," she commented glancing back at him. She felt like they had worked well together when they had fought that first youma. Though tonight would be a good test of that, but Fee was confident.

"They're nasty creatures, don't seem to be very bright though," she shrugged turning her head so she faced the direction of the other roof. "Always up to no good," she sighed. Waving a hand to indicate he should follow her she pushed off the roof and jumped into the air, aiming for the opposite one.

She landed gracefully with one foot connecting with the ground first followed by the second. Once stable she turned around to watch him.

"Two means there's less chance of one of us dying." As far as he could tell, though he hadn't done a lot of research, there weren't that many Senshi running around so loosing one would be bad. "And getting rid of the Youma faster." He hadn't liked fighting the first one but part of that was because it had surprised him.

Watching her jump across the roofs he shook his head. "I still don't like this bounding over buildings thing." He dusted his hands off before jumping the gap, feet skidding slightly on the icy roof. "... even moreso on ice. After you." He motioned in the direction the Youma's signal had come from.

She'd be better off confronting it first. She was much better than him at physical combat.

Her expression turned serious again when he mentioned death, slowly she nodded her head. "Definitely," she agreed lips pressed into a thin line. "We have strength in numbers," she told him turning on her heel and beginning to walk. She glanced back as he mentioned the ice. "Whoops, sorry I didn't even think about that, still traveling by roof is better than the streets, too many civs about." She peered over the side of the roof to see if anyone was walking by.

It was one thing to be seen when you were saving a civilian's life but to let one see you when you weren't doing anything? That was just asking for trouble, especially since senshi were considered to be terrorists. She didn't want to think of running into a cop and getting arrested. She wouldn't know how to explain that to her parents.

She began walking once more, keeping quiet as she focused upon the low dark energy that radiated off of the youma. Slowly she shifted from a walk into a slow jog and then into a run, jumping across rooftops again. A screech sent her skidding to a halt right before the edge of the second roof. Her eyes dropped down, peering over the edge when a bird-like creature with human hands jutting from the center of it's chest and a lizard-like tail came shooting up sending her skittering backward.

"Hey ugly, you're not feasting on starseeds tonight," she exclaimed as it nosedived towards her. She reacted by punching it in the stomach but that only resulted in sending it flying back towards her companion. Oops

"You'd have thought by now they'd have realized we're not the bad ones with everything going on." Then again he hadn't really ever seen the Negaverse agents so he didn't know if they looked the same as they did. The monsters certainly didn't look like them and he was rather sure a few civilians would have seen them fighting them.

As Denebola began to cover more ground he turned his attention to keeping his footing. He didn't exactly have the best footwear for climbing across rooftops and coupled with his physique meant it took almost all of his attention just to not fall off.

The sound of the screech set him on edge and for a moment he stayed crouched on the roof where he'd ended up after skidding on a patch of ice. Looking up he just managed to shove himself to the side in time for the youma to sail past him and crash into one of the buildings heating vents.

"Okay ... that is just ugly"

Fee shrugged spinning on her heel, fists raised, as she looked around for the youma. Seeing it slumped against the water heater she made her way quickly over to her partner. Bending slightly she offered her hand to him. "It's complicated," she answered turning her head away from him and back to where the youma was picking itself up. "We don't look much different, except for uniforms," she began to explain sliding away from the senshi of lanterns.

"Some of us are...reckless," she told him thinking of Sailor Gunn and even herself lately. "Some have powers that are...harder to control and when they lose control they destroy things and it," she sighed, "reflects poorly upon us." It was the sad fact of the matter, being gifted with their abilities had been what had given them bad press.

She smirked at his ugly comment. "Yeah and ugly's back for round two," she stated as the creature came flying towards them. She aimed a kick at it only to send herself skidding across the icy roof. "Whoa!" She exclaimed falling to her knees as it went soaring past her towards Arsinoe. Man did she hate youma, especially flying ones.

He let her help him up and nodded. "I've figured out the complicated bit." Which was something he was going to bring up with that prissy little cat if he ever found her again. He dusted his hands off on his thighs and looked over at his partner. "Too bad we can't really put on a PR campain." He smirked slightly before turning his head as he heard the creature getting up.

It was a little too late and the youma got itself sorted out and came at them. He'd figured that Denebola would be able to handle it but the ice had other plans.

When she went skidding the creature kept itself aimed at him and barreled into his chest. The ice sent both him and the youma sliding on the ice toward the edge of the roof. He dropped the lantern and clawed at the roof to keep himself from careening off the edge.

She thought to reply but said nothing as she slid across the ice on her knees. She winced as she stood, her knees red from impact, teeth clenched as she witness the youma barrel into Arsinoe. Mentally she cursed as she ran forward mildly panicked. If she wasn't quick enough then he could easily topple off the roof, which even as a senshi would hurt like hell.

As she ran her mouth opened to speak only to shut when she couldn't find the words she thought she wanted to say. Instead she focused on her actions rather than her unspoken words.

"Let go of my partner," she snarled skidding to a halt behind the creature. She grabbed it by the tail with one hand yanking back as she outstretched her free hand towards the other senshi. She threw the youma back where it crashed once again into they building's heating vents. She glanced back for a split second to see that the youma hadn't been dusted and she groaned before turning her attention back to Arsinoe.

"This is a tough little..." Denebola was getting frustrated especially when she saw it picking itself up off the ground out of her peripherals, crawling towards them.

His sleeves were ripped and his arms scratched where the youma had tried to keep a hold on him and he winced as he sat up. That was certainly going to hurt for days. "I dropped my lantern ...."

He was pretty useless without it and knew it was in the snow somewhere. Hopefully it hadn't gone out or he'd be -really- useless. There wasn't much time to look for it either with the thing getting back up once more. They couldn't even throw it off the roof or something since it had wings.

"Think you can keep it distracted for a minuet? Maybe it's flammable or something.' Looking around he picked himself up and could just see the top of his lantern poking up out of a pile of snow.

"You did?" She frowned running a hand through her hair as she looked around trying to see it. "Sorry," she sighed, "I should have been more prepared, I didn't realize how icy the roof is." Denebola hated screwing up, or seeing that someone else got hurt because of her actions. If she had thought about it, she would have punched rather than kick so her balance wasn't thrown off so badly.

Of course you didn't have much time to think when you're in the middle of a fight.

"Yeah," she nodded preparing herself to grapple with the monster. She stepped forward just as the youma launched itself upward, off the ground, aiming straight for her face. "Uh-uh, I don't think so." She grabbed a hold of the creature's arms. Unfortunately it was struggling much more than she had anticipated and keeping a good grip on the thing was hard, especially when it's tail slammed right into her stomach almost knocking the wind out of her.
