Anyway, I stopped "worrying" about getting something on that day once I was too old to bring candy and cards to distribute among my classmates. lol
At that age, for fun, my friends and I would exchange them. We did that well into highschool. After that, though, I did feel a little left out when other people got "candy-grams" delivered to them in home room and flowers, candy and stuffed animals from boyfriends/girlfriends. But it didn't really matter too much because the popular opinion among the kids at my school was that Valentine's Day was a "stupid holiday."
Strangely enough, I've never been in a serious relationship around V-Day, so I've never gotten gifts of that sort. I still give my girlfriends gifts, whether they decide to get me anything or not.
Even if I was seriously involved with someone, I still wouldn't stress about getting gifts on V-Day. It's not that important. I should be special everyday of the year, not just when you want to impress other people by showering me with stuff I don't need. rolleyes
But...Valentine's Day is helpful to the economy, right? xd It makes people get out there and buy corney cards, flowers, candy hearts and lingerie. Retailers love it~! Not to mention, hotels and restaurants also benefit from the holiday. 3nodding ]

Valentine's Day is the devil's day!! (Ok, not really, I just hate it too.) For some reason, I can never keep a boyfriend for at least ONE damn Valentine's Day!! stressed Oh well, I just gave up on it. But I think I might plan to do something for this year. I don't know what, but to at least have some fun. (And who says you need a holiday to clean out Victoria's Secret or Fredrick's of Hollywood? ninja )
