Think you need to get better at combat RP? Got your a** kicked by a squirrel? Totally failed to put even a scratch on your opponent as they mercilessly destroyed you and all you held dear? Well, just come on in here. You'll be put in various situations at my discretion, and I'll help you pick apart any problems with your posting that could and would eventually lead to your violent and bloody demise!

Entering the area, you find yourself in a truly massive room. The walls ceiling and floor are all a spotless white, creating the illusion that the room expands infinitely. As you step forth into the room, the door slides shut behind you, vanishing as if it were never there. In the center of the room a hole opens up, and a platform rises to fill it. On the platform is... A stack of wooden crates. You feel the irresistible urge to destroy the crates.

For the purposes of this test, you are allowed to materialize ONE weapon from thin air. You start the test with no special equipment nor abilities, except basic usage of your chosen weapon.

I'm just going to use this one thread for all of my classes until it gets just plain too crowded to keep up with. Post requesting a spot and I'll make a test for you.

For convenience sake, you can use the same test as Kay. Different room though, so you're not together.

As the door slammed shut, Kay's back would tense up, and it would feel as though he had been crawled all over by centipedes. Scared for his life, he watched as the floor opened up, and a platform rose from it, filling it's diameter. But then, suddenly an overwhelming urge hit him as a sword appeared in his hand. He lunged forth, a stack of wooden crates in his path, and swung at the one crate in the middle. As the blade sliced through it, it flew into what must have been a wall in the insanely clean room and scattered dust and other boxes everywhere. He then leaped from his position and smacked another box with his sword, crushing it as well.

As you enact godmoddish rage on the pile of boxes, your avatar suddenly implodes. After seconds of being trapped in a veil of white nothingness, you feel everything rewind, placing you back at the start of the test, just after the door closed once more.

I also think I need to improve combat skills. I would like to join this.

...

As the door shut a feeling of deja vu washed over Kay., but was replaced by the sudden realization that he was trapped in an all white room with now way of escaping that he could see. He picked a blade up off of the ground, and then the floor opened with a stack of wooden crates rising from it on a platform. As an overwhelming force, a familiar one, took control, he leaped at them, swinging the blade wildly at the middle of the stack of crates that he intended to utterly destroy.

Better at all?

@Mondude: Take the same test as I gave the other two.

I think three is enough for this thread, I'm calling it full.

~

I didn't really mean a mind controlling overwhelming urge. I just wanted it clear that you had to attack the crates without having someone tell you.

As Kay attacked the crates, probably damaging himself in the process thanks to the wild way he was swinging the blade, he hit the topmost of the crates, knocking it from the pile and sending it rolling a few feet away. And that's pretty much it. The urge to destroy fades, leaving only a lingering desire to attack the boxes.

((i could have sworn i read you say three boxes... O.o ))

Hikaro stepped into a room. It was impossible to tell the size of the room due to the fact that everything was completely white, with no visible seams. She turned around to leave, she must be in the wrong place. There was only one problem, there was no sign of the door she had only just walked through. Ahead of her, a compartment of some sort opened in the floor, and she watched as a stack of crates lifted up through it. Before she could question what was happening something very hard hit her head. Looking around she found beside her lay a sword, it must have fallen on her. She reached out and grabbed it, it was familiar, though she'd never seen it before.
Hikaro looked back at the boxes. She was supposed to use the sword on them, she assumed, and ignoring the nagging desire to be a rebel she drew the blade. The crates were within striking distance, she noted, as she held the blade ready to attack. How should I go about this... she wondered momentarily. She lifted the blade over head and brought it down diagonally as she rushed past the stack. This she knew from kendo, was the basic Dou cut used for slicing torsos. Hopefully she would at cut at least one. As soon as she was past the pile, she turned quickly and immediately raised the sword again. This time she brought it straight down in front of her in a downward arc towards the highest box with all her might.
Hikaro looked at the crates, and then her blade to check how much damage she did to both... It was, she noted, a rather silly thing to be doing considering her current situation.

User ImageGood post actually. You pretty much picked up perfectly on what I was trying to show. One problem though. You decided for yourself the number of boxes. I admittedly didn't specify, but to be fair, that's something you should have picked up on yourself and asked about. For future reference, this is the boxes as they first appear. I used to do this test without ever specifying an actual limit to the boxes, but I suppose it should be a marked number for the purposes of it here.

Y'know what? I'll let you change your attack if you want, simply because the fault was mine in the first place.

(( What do we use as a name? Im just gonna use my username.))

Mondude walked into a room. He was taken aback by the seemingly vast white space he now was in. All of sudden, the door slid shut behind him with a clack. Mondude turned around, startled at the door, and was even more startled when the door seemed to no longer be there, just more infinite white space. This was creepy. As he turned back around, a hole opened up, and a pile of crates was sitting there. Those were begging to be smashed. Mondude raised his hand, and there was a thin katana in it, much to his surprise. All the better. He rushed the crates, taking a long, arc shaped slash at the wooden objects before him with the sword.
