Well since I am once again bored, I'm going to do another hypothetical situation much similar to the Gaia Royal Rumble remember this holds no merit, and I shall explain as I go along.

I hypothesize that TNA's creative team was nothing more than a room full of monkeys with pictures of the talent and coins to toss to determine the outcomes of the matches, and that my methods will prove ultimately better than what TNA does.

The next step of the scientific method is to test your hypothesis with an experiment.

In order to book like a TNA creative team member, I had to think like one. I had to do research and analyze what some of TNA's favorite things are. When all was said and done, I came up with 5 constants:

- Three-Way Matches
- Post-Match Brawls
- Interference
- Tournaments
- Going back to what didn't work before

At that point I had to determine a way to combine all 5 aspects and incorporate it into future plans for TNA television. So imagine if you will that all of the TNA stars were replaced by Gaia Characters, the ones we use. Now imagine that the world title is vacated through some bullshit involving Hogan, Dixie and Bischoff. Because lets face it, it would've happened regardless.

Now I know this ventures into the realm of "fantasy booking" and some of you guys hate that, but its not like I've got anything else better to do than to reply to matches, rant or watch anime.

Besides, I'm not using my imagination here. I'm leaving everything up to chance and I was confident the results would come close to something TNA would do (if not better). The only part where I use my noggin a little is tying everything together to have it make a little bit of sense (aka: Vince Russo's job when the chimps hand him their results).

In order to resolve this potential vacated World Championship dispute, TNA will go back to old faithful: The Tournament.

However, this won't be just ANY tournament.
No. It needs to be convoluted. It needs to incorporate several different types of matches and most importantly, it has to have a definitive end result.

So what I have constructed is a tournament consisting of 24 wrestlers competing in 5 rounds to determine who truly is the BEST all-around wrestler on the roster.

--The first round will be Tag Team Matches where the teammates and their opponents will be chosen completely at random (like BattleBowl)

--. The winning teams will advance to the 2nd round where they will face each other in a One-on-one Match.

--The winner will advance to the 3rd round where they will face another opponent in a One-on-one Match.
This will be done to test One-on-one superiority.

--The field will be then narrowed down to 3, which is typically unusual for a tournament, but this is TNA we're talking about.

--Those men will face off in, you guessed it, a TNA Three-Way.
The person pinned is then eliminated and will not advance to the finals.

The two remaining wrestlers will go head to head in a Ladder Match to determine who the NEW World Champion will be. Got it?

Now to determine the contestants. Keep in mind this is all random names I picked from the Gaia Royal Rumble.

It's actually not the worst idea in the world, but it's certainly not the easiest to comprehend. In order to determine the teams listed above,
I simply wrote down the first 24 names that came to mind on the GNA roster who would be actively wrestling at the time this story is meant to take place. I literally just jotted them down in a row.

So with that being said you get

1 Mike Landry
2 Yuke Clepsydra
3 Matt Draven
4 Kyle Dracious
5 Kid Omega
6 Brantley Summers
7 Marxx
8 Jed
9 Nuke Fusion
10 Johnathan Riker
11 Harli
12 Jarel Damone
13 Justin Amaze (Gaia Royal Rumble winner)
14 Lauri Henry
15 Kodiak
16 Draze
17 Brody Robinson
18 Freakshow
19 Kelly King 2.0
20 Joshua Danielson
21 Guy Fox
22 Hernandez
23 Joey Desch
24 Matt Shanahan

The random number that I roll via 1 six side dice will determine how I pick teams. If four is picked, then every other fourth will be paired together, and continue on until all names are picked.
PostPosted: Mon Dec 06, 2010 1:29 am

Six was picked, so every sixth name will be paired.
Here's how it'll be paired up:

6 Brantley Summers
12 Jarel Damone
vs
18 Freakshow
24 Matt Shanahan

2 Yuke Clepsydra
8 Jed
vs
14 Lauri Henry
20 Joshua Danielson

3 Matt Draven
9 Nuke Fusion
vs
15 Kodiak
21 Guy Fox

4 Kyle Dracious
10 Johnathon Riker
vs
16 Draze
22 Hernandez

5 Kid Omega
11 Harli
vs
17 Brody Robinson
23 Joey Desch

1. Mike Landry
7 Marxx
vs
13 Justin Amaze
19 Kelly King 2.0

As you can see we got some pretty unorthodox teams, but how will they fair together?

From here I took a quarter (In this case do a random number 1-2(Heads is one, tails is two) and started from the top. I flipped it once (the top team being heads, the lower team being tails)

I will continue on until the bracket was complete (doing a Round Robin-style flipping for the Three-Way).

From here, we're going list the matches and their outcomes with a little bit of common-sense creativity thrown in.

Ready now commencing Brantley/Jarel vs Freak/Shanahan

(2 was the number that was generated)

6 Brantley Summers
12 Jarel Damone

vs
18 Freakshow
24 Matt Shanahan

Freak and Shanahan succeeded. In the booking sense, Brantley is a face, and Jarel has always been a face. They go in facing Freak(Heel) and Shanahan(face) Since Brantley and Freak are tag partners, and on opposite ends, we're going to assume that Freakshow took out his own partner Shanahan, and as a confused Jarel looked on Brantley nailed him with bottle of rum as Freakshow pinned Jarel.

(Once again 2)

2 Yuke Clepsydra
8 Jed

vs
14 Lauri Henry
20 Joshua Danielson

TNA baffles us with another pairing of teams on the opposite directions as ABH and Team Carnage members are on opposite sides!
As we all know Jed and Danielson are the team known as the American Born Heroes, and Yuke and Lauri were apart of Team Carnage but how will this work? Yuke despises Jed, so we'll assume that following TNA logic, Yuke struck Jed down and Danielson went to help out/chase Yuke off (Them being partners and all). Lauri hit a finisher on Jed eliminating him and his former Team Carnage ally out of the rankings.

In case you couldn't tell, TNA seems enjoy being number two, since it spends so much time being inferior to WWE, and the same could be said about this tournament

3 Matt Draven
9 Nuke Fusion

vs
15 Kodiak
21 Guy Fox

Draven and Nuke are playing the roles of faces in this match, but ultimately they couldn't get the job done. So how we're gonna play this, is that Nuke hits his finisher on Kodiak, however the ref is distracted by Draven for some unknown reason, Fox takes this time to clock Nuke with a foreign object and have Kodiak pin Nuke. Because this is TNA logic

Once again proves that TNA likes being number two, no wonder their bookings are shitty. Anyways

4 Kyle Dracious
10 Johnathon Riker

vs
16 Draze
22 Hernandez

I actually popped when I saw Riker/Dracious as a team, that'd be pretty brutal doesn't mean anything in this case, In what could be known as an upset victory, the team of Draze and Hernandez take out Dracious and Riker. How I see it is that Hernandez doesn't want to get hurt (and thus tarnish his good looks) leaves the match, Riker looking to deal punishment to him follows suit, Dracious and Draze battle on and as the battle of the big men go down, Draze ultimately has more experience and takes out Dracious

and FINALLY we get a heads! I mean.. a One!

5 Kid Omega
11 Harli
vs
17 Brody Robinson
23 Joey Desch

This will be a mostly high flying battle, as Omega, Brody and Desch are more quickened than the seasoned Harli. Desch would presumably be taken out, Harli reverses a finisher from Brody, hits his own and Omega comes with the double rotation moonsault for the win.

1. Mike Landry
7 Marxx
vs
13 Justin Amaze
19 Kelly King 2.0

Hmm the team of Landry and Marxx defeating King and Amaze (RR winner) say it isn't so? But it IS TNA, King and Landry re-ignite their rivalry with a brutal slugfest while Justin takes it to Marxx. Marxx however, manages to overcome the rookie Justin through experience, and gets a clean pin while Landry and King are fighting in the crowd.

Now that the tag matches are out of the way, its time to bring on the one on one tournaments.

18 Freakshow
vs
24 Matt Shanahan

Shanhan certainly has a lot of anger going in, and this could be his chance for revenge from the previous match they had however, despite Freakshow being smaller than Shanahan he scrapes a win, presumably because Brantley comes and hits Shanahan from behind with an object while Freakshow is distracting the ref. Remember this is TNA

14 Lauri Henry
vs
20 Joshua Danielson

Logic dictates that the bigger man would win, this case being Lauri but this is TNA logic, so Joshua Danielson probably came to the ring with Jed. Now while in mid-match Yuke (who still hates Jed) would come from the crowd and attack Jed. Lauri wanting to separate Yuke from Jed is now distracted and Danielson rolls him up and eliminates him.

15 Kodiak
vs
21 Guy Fox

This is a pretty even match, solid back and forth action. Probably one of the best matches since this tournament started, Kodiak has Fox up for his finisher, but Fox wiggles out of it and from nowhere nails Kodiak with his super kick finisher for a clean pin fall.

I'm sensing a trend here with all of these twos anyways..

16 Draze
vs
22 Hernandez

Draze is pretty dominant in this match, partially because Hernandez kept protecting himself from Draze's shots. Hernandez however learned from his Essence of Excellence partner Landry, and used one of Landry's legal low blows to get the upset victory!

Remember how I said TNA loves 2s?

1. Mike Landry
vs
2. Marxx

This one came as a complete and utter shock to me personally, but this is TNA so Landry and Marxx are having a great match, only for King to come down the ramp holding something belonging to Landry. Landry chases King, and Marxx gets the count out victory.

5 Kid Omega
vs
11 Harli

No surprise here, the second slot gets picked, even so Harli completely dominated Omega and gets a win cleanly.

Now that thats out of the way its time to move on to the tournament brackets lets see what we have now:

18 Freakshow
vs
20 Joshua Danielson

21 Guy Fox
vs
22 Hernandez

11 Harli
vs
7 Marxx

Seems like a pretty solid tournament thus far for the TNA world title, lots of interference, lots of surprises, count outs, unexpected wins (unless you bet on the second slot)

Well time to get this under way:

18 Freakshow
vs
20 Joshua Danielson
