Riley threw his bag onto the couch and looked around. The room was perfectly symmetrical except for the door at the end that led to the kitchen and the bathroom. Other than that it was the same on either side. There were two beds, two desks, to sets of drawers, two bookshelves, etc. He sighed and wondered when his roommate would get here and what sort of person he would be. Riley smirked and bit the inside of his lip ring. The person staying with him was probably going to be a jerk. They were always jerks. He sat down at his desk and tapped his fingers on the counter silently. Too bad he hadn't brought any of his books. He scowled at the empty wall. Yeah too bad. Too bad his parents had sent him here. He tapped harder on the desk and glanced over at the door. Nobody was there. Hopefully nobody would come, hopefully.

"You got that right," Riley replied somewhat dryly, looking at Dom through his white bangs,"You can come in you know." He sighed and forced a slight smile on his face. It was barely even noticeable. "I'm Riley," he added, brushing back his hair.

"Nice," Riley replied, smiling slightly,"Is it short for anything?" He didn't expect it was but what else was he going to talk about? The weather? If he could play the trumbone?

Riley nodded,"I can imagine." He then turned and stared at his desk. If Dom was tired well then he was going to let him sleep. He stared down at the wood for a while till he became utterly bored. Then he stretched and slid out of his desk.

"You have been here for a half an hour...if that," Riley replied, raising one eyebrow. What a complainer. He hated it here too but he wasn't about to go and tell the world. A soft hiss escaped his clenched teeth and he ripped open the refridgerator to hide his scowl. "What makes you hate it here?" He asked a few minutes later, reminding himself to be civil.

"Yep," Riley replied as if this was normal,"My family kicked me out of the house too." He gave a sympathetic look at Dom and shut the fridge without getting anything out of it. "Same reason," he murmured, blushing. He bit the inside of his lip ring and sat down on his own bed.

He shrugged and lifted his hand to cover it subconciously. "I suppose not...." He wouldn't know. He hadn't ever kissed anyone. "Good question." He grinned slyly at Dom and rubbed the back of his neck.

Riley chewed on the back of his lipring as he dug for what he remembered his family saying to the strangers who came over to their house. How did one correctly start a conversation? He opened his mouth to say something but unsuprisingly nothing came out. Finally he shrugged and picked up a piece of paper and a pencil.
