Trying to lose weight, but still wanting to drink green tea (I absolutely hate it without a ton of honey) I bought Truvia, which is pretty much an extract of the stevia plant. It claims to be 'all natural' and while it is in a way, the processes it has to undergo to extract the sweetness for Truvia definitely aren't
So has anyone else tried it? It's a good sweetener, but definitely not that great alone. x_x It tastes sort of... cold? Lol. Not sure how to explain it.
Love my honey, which is actually really good for you, but I tend to go overboard on it razz

Personally I'm not a fan of it. I do enjoy sugar in the raw tho.
But as a side note, you COULD try just bucking up and drinking itw/o sweetener. Its a bit ballsy and takes time getting used to but now i cant drink it any other way. xD

I've never used the name brand Truvia but I've been using stevia for years in everything as a replacement for sugar. I like Vitacost's NSI liquid stevia because it doesn't have the bitter taste the powder can have. Stevia isn't just sweet, it also helps regulate blood sugar and lowers blood pressure.

How about instead of buying processed Stevia you buy regular stevia and brew it with your tea?

I drink my tea with nothing added. I think it tastes better that way and it's healthier.

The alternative to changing the stuff you put in your tea is to change your diet so that you're getting less sugars elsewhere so you could put honey in your tea. Here's hoping you don't have much of a sweet tooth.

Maybe try just adding less and less honey each time you drink tea? Or try to find teas that you enjoy without any sweetners, fruit teas are pretty good for that.. they aren't really sweet.. but they have a very nice fruit flavor that doesn't need something sweet to go along with it.

I have diabetes, so yeah, i'm lovin' on the stevia too. Personally, i use Stevia in the Raw, good stuff and pretty potent. I use far less stevia than i ever did with sugar. Tried truvia, not a real big fan, sorry.

Oh lord... Put the truvia down and back away slowly. Truvia is SOOOOO BAD FOR YOU, just google "health effects of truvia". gonk
If you want stevia, go for liquid stevia extract. The process that they put it through to get it to crystallize makes it practically toxic @_@
