The scene featuring Ueto Aya in “Nagareboshi” that you see above became a hot topic on Japanese message boards and blogs for the duration of Monday and Tuesday. It shouldn’t be a big deal to show your stomach, but everyone seems to go crazy as soon as Ueto shows any type of skin.
Now speaking of the ratings, “Nagareboshi” continues to stay right below the 14% mark, which is still sad for a Monday drama, especially since we’ve known since the 4th episode that the show can hit 15%. ”Onna Taxi Driver no Jiken Nisshi Ep.5“, starring Yo Kimiko, aired during the 2-hour “Golden Monday” drama time slot and achieved some decent ratings again.
Kimura Takuya & Co. continue to promote “Space Battleship Yamato” on various variety shows this week, but in the case of SMAPxSMAP, it meant a decrease in ratings. There wasn’t a lot of interesting stuff going on during the show anyway, besides, last week Kimura already announced on TV that he knows the position of Kuroki Meisa’s nipples, so what else is left to say? Worth noting is Takei Emi’s appearance on Shabekuri 007 on Monday, a small highlight for those who know and like her, as I personally think she has star quality.
The drama “Freeter” dropped again on Tuesday, and it now sits at a new low with 14.7%, which is still higher than the average ratings of most other dramas this season. Unfortunately, “Guilty” dropped as well after an amazing episode last week. Hopefully it will attract move viewers for the last couple of episodes. It deserves better ratings, especially in that time slot, where only the news can really dominate the other shows. “Ushijima” and “Kurohyo” aired again this week for those that like nice and short midnight dramas.
