The Debating Rules

Just straight out:

  • No name calling
  • No yelling by making your font bigger (but use bold, italics, and underlinings to show important information)
  • No purposefully attacking people instead of their argument
  • Don't repeat the same thing over and over again.....it doesn't help.
  • Understand that in debates, people are meant to disagree with you, so don't get offended when they do.
  • Understand that people often timesattack your arguments not you yourself.
  • Be respectful of what other people beleive, don't bash them just because they disagree. ("What? You're Jewish? You can't talk here, cause you don't believe in Jesus!" or "If you don't believe the bible, what you say doesn't matter")
  • Have fun.
