((You want them to know each other from the thread, vaguely know each other with blurred thread memories, or meet as total strangers?)) Faiza was moving slowly, feeling her feet sink into sand a little with every step. It seemed she couldn't win for losing, really. She'd been happy at first in this place, no trees to restrict her movements. However the sand was difficult to navigate, since she was so heavy and unable to fly. It didn't help that is occasionally working into the joints of her wings.
Well that just eliminated desert life for her. The lands that bordered the sands, packed dirt and sparse grass, were more her style. Faiza figured she might as well head back that way, but first she had to find her way out of all this sand.
The sun shone down brightly, lighting up her red fur so she looked as though she'd been bathed in blood. It was actually a pretty color, and Faiza wouldn't have changed it if she had the choice. There was no wind today, which pleased her; no sand clogging the joints in her wings was only a good thing. Her coat was dark enough that the heat wasn't too hard on her, but a cloud or two would have been nice.

Harami was definitely an interesting tribe. They hid mostly in desert caves and stole and tricked members of different tribes of their belongings. Sure there was an ocean nearby for fish and the light bout of swimming but Morin wasn’t exactly your normal run of the mill fox. Fish was nice every once in a while and a lot easier to hunt then the other desert animals littered across the desert but Morin did have to admit he wasn’t exactly a fishy kind of fox. Then swimming was out of the question. Morin was a phim and salt water spelled disaster for feathers. The occasional dive into the water to catch said fish was okay but that hardly counted as swimming. He supposed his boredom wouldn’t be so bad if his job was actually to go out and trick people of their belongings but no matter what he had told other foxes Morin didn’t like to steal. Now tricking people and messing with their emotions was fun, which was why it was his job to steer people away from getting too close, not that the desert wouldn’t get them anyways…. Well unless they came down the coastal route anyways. Although don’t get him wrong Morin wasn’t cold and deceitful to everyone. Just a few months ago he had kindly taught another phim to fly after she had been having trouble for years. Of course when she left to go have kits and be with her lifemate morin was left behind again with loneliness seeping back in. Every relationship he had seemed to crumble apart… and you couldn’t really call his tribe company sure they were loyal towards each other but it was more of a “hey you need me I have your back otherwise leave me the hell alone” Suddenly something caught his attention and he got up from his tree, one of the few on Harami lands, and smirked. Some thing had wandered on Harami lands… and after all wasn’t it a scout’s job to find out what it was. Seconds later the black and purple fox was airborne deciding today might actually be a good day.
(mmm probably go with a vaguely know each other option)

'Well,' Faiza thought, 'I suppose no trees or clouds and nothing around can be a good thing.' For one it gave the Phim away long before he got close to her. Faiza wasn't a "look ahead" type, she examined all her surroundings. Which meant that giant shadow on the ground was easy to spot. A quick glance up told her she had company.
Faiza brow crinkled the tiniest bit. She was a Phim herself, yet she was wary of other Phims. Seika had been nice, but she had the mindset of a child. Faiza was quite certain there wasn't a mean bone anywhere in that neon vixen's body. One good experience wasn't enough to refute a lifetime of bad ones though.
She didn't let this show in her body language. Since leaving her flock Faiza had grown in confidence and skill. Without wings she's learned to be fast and agile. After she'd gotten the fake set upon her back she worked them into her agile routine. It looked effortless, but it had taken Faiza countless days worth of hours in practice to master the controls and then the timing. Though she could barely manage a glide, winds permitting, she was confident she could hold her own in a fight now.
But rather than dignify the Phim with any response that she had seen him, Faiza kept walking in her slow, measured pace. With luck he'd fly right over here and keep going. But then again what kind of luck did you expect a Phim with Daeva-style wings on her back to have? Even if the wings were only props.

Swooping down from the sky he landed almost effortlessly on the ground a bit in front of his prey at the moment and cocked his head over at the intruder’s direction. He knew he wasn’t a surprise after all his shadow on the ground was hardly conductive for stealth and sighed figuring this was probably a lost traveler or something; hardly worth making a note of in the day. However when Morin gave the vixen a quick look over he frowned, not because of her over all appearance, Morin didn’t care what foxes actually looked like unless they where some vibrant green or pink, but she seemed vaguely familiar. Ah it was definitely an interesting thought for a later time, and maybe the day wasn’t as wasted as he had first pegged. Morin silently walked alongside her at a close distance but not enough that he couldn’t dodge out of the way if she was suddenly hostile. No he would speak up after he had figured out how he wanted to handle the situation and gauge her a bit, then he would speak up”

Faiza was now decidely looking forward and not at the male who mirrored her movement. She wasn't sure what to make of him yet. He didn't seem like he'd attack, but you never knew. Why else was he following her. Still, there was this nagging feeling in the back of her mind like she knew him from somewhere. But that was ridiculous, wasn't it? The only other Phim Faiza knew should have been Seika.
She tried to push such thoughts from her mind. They were a distraction, and not one she needed if she was to make sure the Phim wasn't about to attack her. It wasn't entirely in her nature to be meek or subtle though....
"It's rude to stare," she remarked, just loud enough for the male to hear, continuing to walk as though she hadn't said anything.

Morin gave a slightly amused look at the female phim, because that was obviously what she was even though she had not inherited wings. Her height and body build and definitely hair where all those found on the female half of his race. However the hair style was far from common, oh how it plagued him only in a different color and a much much colder attitude. She seemed on edge so he slowly shifted his walking stance to a much less unguarded one. Well a more appropriate term would be a seemingly unguarded one. It was foolish to drop your guard for anything except for maybe your life mate. “Ah I’m sorry about that; I wanted to see how you moved before I made any hasty judgments. You can tell a lot about a fox by the way they walk. Thus what better way than staring, however since it seems to bother you I’ll keep it at a very minimum.” Morin answered his voice quite civil not bothering to hide any hidden objectives, if there was any.

Faiza turned her head to look at the male, slowly her face slightly. Her hair, different from normal females in how limp it was, slid over her shoulder. Her single earring made a very light jangling sound swinging back and forth.
"I do not see how it is necessary. You could have simply asked. Or even stayed in the air, where I am no threat to you." She didn't feel like she had exposed any kind of weakness in revealing that. It should have been obvious from the straps over her chest and the style of her wings she wasn't an ordianary Phim.
She did hope the male would be as cival as his voice sounded. What with the shifting sands under her feet, it would take a major toll upon her fighting style. Agility plus unfirm footing usually didn't make for a happy mix.

Morin laughed and shook his head. "Yes I could have asked but then again I find my self often in the company of thieves and liars. It is best to find out such information for yourself. Of course you can change the way you carry yourself as well to fool me but then it will be my fault for being to cocky." Morin replied. He cocked his head to the side when she mentioned staying in the air. "Yes I could have but there is a much better view from the ground and you cant fly so why continuously rub it in your face. If you wish to know some one you should do so from their eye level however best you can" Morin replied looking her civilly again in the eyes. He refused to dwell on her hair and look too much at it but did look at it just enough so it didn't look like he was avoiding it. After all it was high time he got over it and he shouldn't blame another person for similar traits.

Faiza tilted her head to the side a little, watching as the male laughed, then went back to looking forward as he finished talking. "Thieves and liars? If it is a concern for you perhaps you should choose your company with more care. I suppose I should thank you for the considerate thoughts, though I hope you can forgive my confusion as to why you would want to even wish to know me, as you said. What am I to you, besides a stranger?"
Even as she said it Faiza wasn't sure it was true. The male had a familiar feeling to him, like she'd once known him but couldn't remember. That couldn't be right though, because the feeling was a more pleasant one. Faiza did not know any pleasant male Phims.

"No its not really a concern, however it does mean you have to be careful around them" Morin pondered thinking about it. He had first stumbled upon the tribe because he was bored and he was going through a rather rough patch in his life. Loki had said to stay and help scout things out around tribe lands. So who was Morin to defy a modeity. Morin thought about her next question with more effort. Why had he come down it could have been the familiar air around her but if he tried to say something quite like that it could be mistaken as a come on... not that she wasn't pretty. No that wasn't right either. She was definitely beautiful and it was only added by the proud way she carried herself. However looks meant very little to Morin. It was more about... there had to be something other than looks. "Why not? If we all didnt occasionally go out and meet a stranger then no one would ever know anyone. Why not go for a bit of a gamble. I already said I tend to have company with thieves and liars and besides there was something else. You look, no never mind" Morin shook his head.

Faiza thrust her shoulder blades up in a fox shrug. She finally stopped, turning to face the male. "I would not know. I... tend to avoid the company of others." She did her best to keep a frown from her features. She wasn't really sure why she did her best to avoid others. It wasn't that she necessarily preferred being along. In her mind it just seemed to be for the best.
"I would be most curious to hear your unfinished thought. I do not offend easily, if that is what you worry about."

Morin barely noticed she seemed rather well not happy about her lack of communication with other foxes and if it wasnt his job to know and understand different foxes he probably would have missed the small signs. "ah I have a feeling thats a shame" he finally decided to say after thinking about her statement on how she was unsocial. If it was due to past experiences Morin knew that it would be understandable. He paused in their walking a bit as his sort of companion asked him to finish his thoughts. he would probably convince her he was even stranger than he first made himself out to be. "well its just you look familiar is all. I have the strangest sense that I've met you before" he finally answered.

Faiza thought about that for a moment. "That is not so odd. If you have ever met another Phim with my hair style that would automatically give you a sense of familiarity. I am told it is not common. Or perhaps-." She paused, tilted her head slight as though this new angle would reveal new answers to her.
She straightened her head, expression as neutral as she could make it. "You feel familiar to me as well. I cannot say why that would be." He definetly wasn't someone from her mother's flock, and she was certain she'd remember any other Phims she'd met outside the flock. After all, they weren't a very common breed.

Morin chewed on his bottom lip trying to figure it out. It wasn't that she had the same hairstyle as Kitsumi. He had seen a black fox with that same hairstyle recently and it wasnt that spark of familiarity. "I have in fact met another female phim with your hairstyle although I can safely say you look nearly nothing like her since she was blue." He voiced his thoughts out loud only in a more condensed version. "No its not just the hairstyle is the coloring and there is something else too. Maybe we have met then and its just been awhile. Life after all can be very hectic at times" Morin replied. There had also been many foxes that Morin had met over the months but she doubted it was any one he had tricked off the lands otherwise she wouldn't have been here and she still didnt have a sense of dislike towards him so that nailed another nail in that theory's coffin.

Faiza shook her head, but not in a sense of denial. It was more like she was trying to drive out distracting thoughts. Her glowing red eyes searched the male's face. "Perhaps. I believe I would remember you though. I usually do not-," she paused, amending her words. "I have a good memory, and keep track of all winged creatures I come across."
She closed her eyes and sighed through her nose. "However, I could always be mistaken. I do not think it likely, but I am always open to the possibility." She opened her eyes again. "My name is Faiza. And who might you be."
