Poetry Contest

Many of you have asked - here is how the entries will be judged:
Depending on the number of entries-(if there are a lot I will narrow them down to the top 5) a panel of us will choose the winners & post the results. Of course you will be informed & I will send the prizes as gifts- or in the case of gold as a trade (nothing need be sent back on the trade-that's just the only way to send gold).
Go to the poetry contest to check for the results & to read all of the entries. Feel free to comment on the entries and to offer each other feedback in the form of constructive criticism-it is appreciated by your fellow poets.

Kiss my knuckles and brush my hair out of my wandering eyes
If you show me your heart, I will believe its secrets
From start to finish
From the range to the sea
I will wrap my white arms around the trunk of your soul
And taste the fruits that fall from its mighty, quiet branches
They rustle and sing when my breath sweeps through the small hairs on your lip
It is not enough
And my words will never be enough
But my spirit flutters, dances, soars within the valleys of your mind
Through the blossoms in your mouth
Around the waterfalls that roar so far, far away from the prisons of ticking clocks and broken pencils
I don't know the promises of black parasols or sad priests
But I rest my head on your lap, I kiss your knee
You have promised me your mountains, your lakes, and your whole life
You have kissed my knuckles and brushed the hair out of my wandering eyes
You have shown me your heart
And I believe its secrets
They grow on the roots that rest below my feet, their seeds sleeping in the flowers that bloom in the palms of your hands
They ride golden leaves and fly, fly until they touch the endless sapphire sky

Eating with your mouth open
Other undesirable habits
That make your company intolerable
Even in my sleep
Even in my dreams
You're unresponsive to brain function
Trying to be friendly and other ways that you repulse me
Agreeing with everything I say
Irritation
Immersed in obscure references no one is intended to get
Damages and repercussions
The loose change in your pocket
With an electromagnetic coil
Will be turned into bullets
And you will be torn to shreds
But you'll be back
With a guarantee of reasonable health in thirty days
plastic, polyethylene, polystyrene, polymer, polygamist.
When you are gone
Everything becomes so quiet
I have never heard things this quiet
You're trying to fill me with noise.

Randomness Almost Wrecks Recognition
In the night, while I'm walking into the dark,
I'm thinking of you.
You're my light, and the fire that warms my heart
No feelings of blue.
Come to me, to start a world of creation.
Do not deny me, this loving sensation.
Over the rainbow, and through the skies.
Embedded within a world with no lies.
Surely there's a chance forever,
To share our love and stay together.
Our fates intertwine in the nether,
A bond that is tougher than leather.
I'll always remember you,
Every little thing we do,
All I feel inside, is true,
Which is why my love is due.
I can only stay away for so long,
The way I feel, could be written in song.
Always check to see if you're okay.
Be the one to brighten up your day.
The days are long whenever we're apart,
as if someone had thrown away my heart.
Baby I've been...
Sitting here, waiting on your love my dear.
I won't leave...
Stay cuddled close to you, till the end of the year.
From this point...
I'll protect you from everything, have nothing to fear.
In the end...
What really matters is the moment when I'm near.
Peace of Mind
Please help me, to deal with impatience.

Hopes and dreams,
Are wonderful things,
Unless they are broken.
At that point,
They are more strife,
And then they are but tokens of grief.
What if she was a bright light in your life,
Wouldn't your hopes raise?
And what if she had passed over the horizons,
Wouldn't you dream?
What if you could follow her?
Wouldn't you attack each problem with fierce determination
In order to achieve it?
Wouldn't you want to?
Wouldn't you have to?
But what if it was a dear friend that got in your way?
What if there was an opposition that could not be swayed?
What then?
How do you go on?
Others will dismiss the problem,
Others will call it a “want” and not a “need”.
But what if you feel differently?
What if your heart is in poor repair?
What if it ached when away from her?
What if you realized that you were not going to see her,
For too long a time to think about?
What if the final answer was the ever-destructive “no”?
How would you cope?
How would you deal?
The Holidays are here, and with it great joy,
But I must admit there's a bittersweet edge,
Where my plans have gone awry.
How can I be cheerful,
How can I not be sad?
Please tell me now,
Because I'm at a loss.

I grew up on airplanes
dreaming of the sea
all I ever wanted was to get away
and with you I'd be
But I grew up on airplanes
daft and unaware
naive I'd disbelieve
that you could ever care
and as I flew on airplanes
I'd imagine falling out
out and off the world
a world full of doubt
as I fell off airplanes
I'd see the world eye to eye
laugh at you, sing to you
and into darkness fly
flying away from airplanes
I'd stop in such a place
a place that's stationary
but has no time or space
My body was an airplane
and it would crash onto shore
and there
would be
a real sea
and people I adore.
God
I think you'd like to meet me
So come on down from that crown cloud
you're on
God
I think you'd love to meet me
I'm quite an interesting creation
and like you I've got no real explanation
Please God
come down and greet me
say you're pleased to meet me
shake my hand
and cry tears of joy for your daughter
even if she's loose like water
and fails to travel light
God,
I'd like to look into your eyes
and see from your sight
dear God
I'd like to feel you're there
tangible, and that you care
Dear God
I think you'd like to meet me
So come on down from that crown cloud

Clear as shimmering
brilliance, riches of my heart
Wonders, questions

Fools are my vice
Blinded erred yields
But that is what makes it so crystalline clear.

It's Christmas in the air!
Snowflakes in December
Children site with Santa's toys
Their gloves wiping crystalline ice,
Off shiny plastic
Our breath thick like fog
Mingles in oneness
As we stand back to
Look upon the completion
Of our Christmas trees
Giggling from heady wine
And feelings shared
It's Christmas in the air!

there was a x-mas charity with many gifts to give
many gaians flocked around to see what they could win
gaians oooo'd and awww'd at the prize the could score
all you have to do is bump a lot to bring up x-mas cheer
also you can throw snow balls made of numbers
or even write poetry about cucumbers
they said we don't mind we don't care
do what you have to to keep up that x-mas cheer
