This is a role-play based on actual 'Code Vampires' to which the guild is originally named for. Please read the 'yes' and 'no's of what a 'Code Vampire' is before posting your characters. If you have a different idea of what vampires should be, feel free to post your own vampire role-play. (Lol X3) At least ask and okay it with me first.

A small castle situated atop a small mountain surrounded by a lush forest. Aged and undernourished, the castle had been abandoned to gather dust a quarter of a century ago. The family who owned it but a whisper and a mist that disappeared in the early nineteen forties. The only visable proof that there even was a family situated within that castle on the hill were photographs lying on the wall. Concealed in dusty frames with broken glass. All things worthy of monetary value had long been pilfered by thieves, and those who now tried left the building empty handed.
However...
No one enters the basements. Hidden beneath the cellars of this -tiny- little castle are miles upon miles of underground tunnels leading further and further underground. To the depths where the air is toxic and the rocks have never experienced warmth. Where the dark ones sleep...
A decaying masterpiece, the twenty-three roomed building has never ceased to have visitors since its infancy, whether they be curious humans hoping to see a ghost, thieves hoping to steal...or something else entirely... Though the beds are occassionally decorated with dust or cobwebs, for some strange reason a few of the rooms remain clean and orderly. No one sleeps in the beds except stray travelers, and the closest town is several miles of trecking down the mountain. Hardly the pleasant walk through the countryside. So the reason why the private quarters remain relatively clean would escape anyone. The rumor is that ghosts inhabit it, as on rare occassions a light can be seen through the trees on the mountain, accompanied by a shadow in the window.
From a balcony adjacent to the master bedroom (which for some reason always remains locked) the view of the valley betwixt the surrounding mountains features a gorgeous view of the Rhys river flowing on its way beside the city.
For the most part, those who enter the forest to 'inspect' the ancient manor come home disappointed, or carting some valuable prize; but, the exception remains. The occassional body would be found floating down the river, and other times...a missing person would never be seen or heard from again.

{Because I really want you to read this, I'm putting it ahead of the rules. :3}
{ Please remember to follow these guidelines if you want a vampire character. I'd like there to be only one kind of vampire...to be realistic.X3}

Code Vampires:
1. Drink other things besides blood.
Code Vampires, -as my version- are only mostly dead, so they can drink other things and eat pureed drinks with a 'smoothie-like' consistancy. Their stomachs are not able to properly digest anything besides fluids; or they will get physically sick. Obviously blood is as important as water is for us, so they must drink blood, but they can have other things. Just not solid foods.
2. Can go outside in the sunlight.
But it is not their natural time...Imagine having all your senses amplified. Your eyes are sensitive to light, your skin easy to burn, and your extremely susceptable to vibrations of every kind. (So sound -in the right pitch and intensity- can bother you. For example a bomb going off nearby). Would you want to go outside knowing the kind of migraine/sunburns your going to get? I sure wouldn't...Going outside on a hot summers day is practically suicide if you don't hurry out of the sun.
3. Have babies.
But it is extremely difficult. Unless the female is in heat ( -its not an uncontrollable urge peoples-) She can't get pregnant, and a woman generally goes into heat once or twice a year. So there are no 'one night stands' where pregnancies happen except if she is in heat, and even then... Say there was a lottery and there are are two million tickets. If you only buy a hundred...what are your chances of winning? Making babies takes a lot of time and patience. Unless your a natural born vampire. (I'll get into that later) you'll have less of an ability to concieve than regular born vampiresses do...Course the male's fertility does significantly raise or lower your chances. If the male is natural born, you may get lucky. If its two 'altered' vampires making love your chances are nigh impossible of concieving more than once. If you mate like rabbits. Which we wont be doing here...So that is why vampires usually have three brides, to increase one's chances of procreation. They cannot breed with humans...
4. Are not completely dead.
They age one year for every ten, but by the time they reach the physical age of around thirty, they stop physically aging. How would you like to live six hundred years instead of sixty and never have to worry about wrinkles? Code Vampires have an extremely faint heartbeat, flowing blood, they can get pregnant, and are living beings. Just like warewolves. They can also breathe (otherwise how would they talk?), but can hold their breath for up to a month or two at a time. As their bodies prefer the toxic air found deep under the earth in the place of our oxygen, Code vampires stay underground when they sleep to refill their lungs with the necessary chemicals, or they burn a particular moss found underground like a joint or in a cigar/cuppa tea, to get that chemical filled. Which explains why vampires are often seen near fog.
6. They can sleep for months at a time.
Usually in intervals of five/six months per every five-six months. They can 'nap' during the sunlight hours, but its not enough to be fully rested and healthy. Unless drugged or recooperating, they usually don't sleep longer than that. Four years tops.
7. Fly.
Wings have two uses. As an altered vampire you can form wings to fly that form very similar to a bats wings. Conjoined between the arm and the sides. As an altered vampire, however, it takes a great deal of energy to form them, and is incredibly painful. Short bursts, in emergency situations, are usually all that can be handled at one time. For example: from the bottom of a skyscraper to the roof) The other reason would is for carrying a baby in the pouch between your wings (Which is formed while your pregnant ladies). To have wings capable in the bone structure to fly for weeks at a time and never grow weary, and stand up to almost any kind of pressure, you would need to be a natural born vampire. Which is why transforming into a bat is the most preferable form of travel. It takes a little while to transform, ten to fifteen minutes, and you can last until your too weary to continue travelling. (They have wings because in their old dimension the would have them out all the time.)
8.They are not invincable.
They can speak telepathically, read auras, sense presenses nearby, and listen to sounds that human ears cannot hear. In some cases, they can move things, start fires, or create a fog with their mind. As they can 'feed' off of emotions and the auras of others, Vampires have 'psy-powers.' and although they are stronger and -after training- can run faster than a human can, unless you work out and train you can get lazy and sluggish( muscle-wise.)
9. Are not intoxicated by garlic.
unless your vamp has a food allergy to it, Garlic will only give you bad breath. As harsh chemicals are actually good for Vampire skin/health, accidentally swallowing poison wont do anything besides making them look nicer or (cianide) make them drunk. Wine is very good for vampires. But of course, blood is the very best thing to have, or flesh and blood properly chewed or mashed in the blender. Assuming you know how to chew...you shouldn't have any problems.
10. Crosses/Holy water do nothing.
Unless you stab them with one, they wont do anything but perhaps emotionally intimidate them and getting holy water in your eyes, given the oil (methinks) could burn, but that would effect anybody. Vampires usually detest crosses because of being hunted for so many centuries by those who sport the symbol around their necks.
11. They do have 'magical powers'.
Vampires have to use powers to have their wings rip out from their spine. Yes. Its painful; but as vampires regenerate very quickly, thats not too much of a problem if you keep your wings out all the time.(hardly something we would notice X3 *sarcasm*) Which is why changing into a bat is preferable. No pain, and its easy to go undetected. Magic is also used to help with fertility, shapeshifting, and stealth. Other vampires can sense you if your not well hidden, but if your using stealth magic a human generally wont be able to discover your hiding spot. Besides, Vampires consider magic under the same catagory as mental powers, so its not the 'hocus pocus' kind of magic.
12. Are venomous.
Only those 'older than puberty' can change a human into a vampire. The most popular methods are either biting them, extracting their venom and forcing it down their throat, shoving a syringe with it in your body or... Because venom is secreted out of glands beside (and inside)their fang teeth, making out too much with a vampire will change you. In their excitement, they secrete the venom during kissing and if you swallow enough of it you will change. It is, after all, the venom that changes you not the bite. (Thus the title of this role-play) Kids and toddlers only secrete venom when they are scared or stressed, and like black widows/scorpians(I believe) their venom is so concentrated as a protection against harm that it will kill you instead of change you, and temporarily injure other vampires.
(You know how bubble-soap looks in the water? Its clear but its colorful in the light? Well thats what their venom looks like. Unless they spit in the sunlight, they aren't going to give themselves away.And even then, its hardly noticeable.)
13. Can enter mirrors.
As Vampires came from another dimension called: The Void, They can enter it through any reflective surface big enough for them to fit through. Unfortunately, a vampire must have permission to use mirrors as a form of travel, because of a curse, but it only effects mirror travel, they don't need to ask permission to enter a house.
14. Can feel temperature.
Adding this because there seems to be some confusion in this regard, Vampires have a much colder internal body temperature than humans do. (Well obviously) Or sunlight, fire, would not be damaging to their bodies. So what is cold to us, would be perfectly warm and cozy to a vampire. For example...you wouldn't want your vampire going into a hot tub. If it is close to burning human skin, imagine how painful it will be to a vampire. Like I said earlier, going outside on a hot summer's day is practically suicide. If at all possible, Vampires choose to sleep the five-to-seven months of rest during the summer months, or they leave the country for cooler places. Preferably deep underground.
SIDENOTE: Warewolves can change whenever they want to, not strictly the full moon. Wearing silver does nothing, but if silver gets in contact with a wound or in your bloodstream you will die a slow and painful death.

1. Posting.
I LOVE Decorated posts. Please decorate your post somehow; just a picture and a name is all I care about. The rest will just amaze me X3. You dont have to be extremely literate, but at least one good paragraph will make me happy. Only use 10/11 size font for posting unless your character is talking very loudly. You should all know this but remember to chat ooc in (()) or {{}} or something like that so we know its ooc.
2. profiles.
Just fill out the code I'm going to give you and post it in the thread I made specifically for profiles. No, don't PM it to me. Only because this rp is a 'guild' rp, and for everyone not a specific number of people. Plus, then you can start posting without my approval, and this rp can start moving. If everyone stops posting, skip a few days. As a general rule. The SHOW MUST GO ON. :3
3. About Godmodding.
Godmodding is an evil thing to do, but if its between two characters that you are both controlling, then its no big deal. I'll let it slide. As a general rule, bad godmodding is: 'Talking for another person', and 'not letting them have the chance to say 'yes' or 'no' before doing something to them. Even if your character is 'all powerful' only 'express that' towards 'fake' characters you make up. Such as an 'imaginary waitress, stranger, make-believe person' that is not played by anyone, and can therefore die.
4. No physical intercourse is to be described.
Regarding 'making love'. I am not afraid of it happening to add to the story; but it must be 'skipped'. (other peeps might not be that okay, so if someone warns you that your making out is too heated for their eyes, please stop.)No discriptions of it, hint that it happened or mention that it happened to a friend later but dont describe it. When they start to 'strip' its time to skip. I'm a grown up and I don't mind reading about making-out and a little petting each other, but anything beyond that AND I WILL DELETE YOUR POSTS. If you fail to heed my correction in a PM that I will kindly send you, you will be booted from the rp, and possibly the guild. So skip. If your character has the hots/love for another, talk with the other person in a pm asking their permission for your character's plot to lead that way and skip til the end. HINT ONLY. If we wanted to read a smut novel, we could buy one for five dollars at walmart. Or take to the pms. I'd prefer only 'real life couples' rp that in a pm, but what you do there I will never know about...
and obviously follow the Gaian tos, or other general rules. Common sense my lovelies ^^.
(if you think I need to change something here, or you have some better ideas please...by all means, pm them to me. I love imput and we all need corrective critisism.)
(Remember this rp is relaxed, carefree, easy come and easy go. No pressure to do really well, just have fun. ^^)

Mentally humming a sing-song little tune in her head as she disappeared and reappeared under the shadows of the trees. Occassionally the moon would reveal itself from its dark shroud, and her snow-white hair would glisten beneath its gaze. The wind toying her long tresses about; forcing them to kiss her cheeks. Lavender had been awake for nearly two weeks on her own waiting for Laurent to wake up. Lilith had yet to awaken either, and as she could no longer bear the cabin fever; Lavender had run from the house at the first lick of sunset. Running about the territory and noticing the changes on her old favorite trees and hiding places, Lavender giggled with a her childish enthusiasm. Not even thinking of potential dangers, the girl kept poking her nose about the forest in her games.

Don't touch me.
I bite.
The moonlight was bright and Jonathan was ramping through the forest on all fours. His paws slamming against the earth, the wind in his fur. If anyone were to look at him, the only way to truly recognize him would be to look into his eyes. There were the same brown tint with orange flecks. Jonathan suddenly stopped, there was a new scent in the air. It smelled of vampire. He growled and hid within the brush. His fur was a dark shade of brown. When the vampire became visible, he noticed its size. It was a child, and she was just playing. Jonathan did not like children, it wasn't that he never wanted to have any, or they were annoying, it was that they were just too innocent. He jumped out from the brush and sat in a pouncing position. He opened his jaw to sneer and growl, hoping to startle the child.
But suddenly, Jonathan found himself thinking humanely, he wasn't in the mood to hunt anymore. There was no use in hunting a vampire. Suddenly, there was a change. Pain shot through out his body, he let out a howl which then turned into a manly yell. His fur retracted into his skin as his paws formed fingers and toes. He looked down at his human form. He sneered at himself. Sometimes he forgot how to act like a human. He quickly looked around for his clothing, being naked out in the open wasn't very charming. He forgot where he had left his clothing and he stood from the ground covering himself. "Kid, have you seen a pile of clothes around?"

Turning around just in time to hear the ferocious growl omiting from a gigantic brown wolf; Lavender's eyes widened in terror. Acting purely on impulse, Lavender assumed a defencive position and screeched an ultrasonic call at the top of her lungs. She figured the wolf could hear the pitch, but then again...so would Laurent and Lilith. If they had woken up that is. Sending a telepathic message of fear to the best of her abilities, Lavender scrambled behind the nearest tree and hid herself from view. Peeking her nose around the tree when the cry became human-like, Lavender stared at the man in confusion. Having perfect night eyes, Lavender's mouth dropped in shock and she immediately covered her innocent face. Barely whispering an answer, Lavender moved her head back behind the tree.
" N...no...w...why are you not wearing clothes?"

I bite.
Jonathan let out a laugh, "I am undressed because being in wolf form, well... wouldn't you find it funny to see a dog in trousers?" His hands still covering his parts, he continued to laugh at her innocence. He suddenly felt odd, if he was going to just stand there in the nude he'd rather be a wolf. Seeing how that would be backtracking, he thought about not doing it. "Seeing how you're uncomfortable with... I'm sure you'd much rather prefer a wild beast..." He felt his body change, his bones move and grow. He screamed in agony as he contorted and changed into his wolf form. Soon his yell turned into a howl. He sat, and cocked his head to the side.

Thinking the worst was over, she scratched the bridge of her nose as she pondered whether to approach the stranger. Nothing had ever stopped her from being curious before, and so Lavender bounded from behind the tree. Running up and following the wolf at every step, she tried to reach up and touch a paw, or a tail, whichever was closest to her at that particular moment. Like a toddler at a petting zoo, Lavender had never seen such a big wolf before, and she was curious what his fur felt like.
" Will you hold still? I would like to pet you." Furrowing her eyebrows irritatingly, Lavender kept following and would not stop until she had her way. Her cheeks puffing up with air, as she did to vent her frustration even though it wasn't lady like, before crossing her arms.

Don't touch me.
I bite.
Jonathan let out a whimper as the child started to pet him, he was reluctant to let her touch him. But when she spoke about sitting still, he bowed his head to let her. It felt strange, to be pat. But oddly, he liked it and his tail wagged in response. Then she spoke of her brother, and clothing. He knew where that was going and he backed up slightly followed by a whimper. He knew it was bad for a werewolf to walk into a vampire's coven. He lied himself down and placed his head between his paws. He wasn't going to change into a nude man only to follow a child. Jonathan looked up into the sky, noticing the moon was only half. He thanked the skies for that, he liked being in control of his actions. To choose whether or not he was wolf or man, to choose if he was going to kill or just sit and ponder. Freedom, it was something he cherished.

If just for tonight darling, let's get lost❊} A bright smile lit up Lavender's face at discovering the wolf as soft as his fur suggested him to be. A mischevious smile puffing up her face, Lavender stretched her arms out wide and reached forward to wrap her arms around Johnathan's front left leg. Tall enough to just barely grip the tips of her fingers together, Lavender nuzzled her face into his fur to feel the softness against her cheeks and breathed in deeply.
' He has a peculiar smell...', Emerced in it, Lavender continued to hold Johnathan's leg like a gigantic teddy bear before another mischevious idea popped into her brain.
Jumping up and down, Lilith tried to leap on top of Johnathan's wolfy back; but, wasn't quite tall enough to do so. He was too big, and the idea of shooting her small wings out of her back to get her up the few feet difference forced her to release a pouty sigh. Not taking his whine as a 'no' Lavender pulled on his fur as if commanding him to follow.
" Mr. Wolf! Please follow me!" Lavender pouted and stamped her foot in the dirt.
