"It exists! I swear to you! With towers as tall as we could imagine and creatures more magnificent than any upon this land! There is nothing more beautiful on this whole Earth! I promise you! Those of pure heart, will find it."

Those were the last words of a man named Nicolai Malcovitch. He was a philosopher, a day dreamer, a scientist, and in the opinion of most; a mad man. He had discovered multiple new species of aquatic animals from the darkest depths of the deepest oceans, and other bodies of water. He had created machines to get humans deeper than they had ever been. He was a genius, a figure that should always be remembered in history, and he would have been had he not lost it, as most people believed he did with his last assignment. He was supposed to find a way to get humans into the depths of waters without the use of submarines. He developed an anti-pressure suit using a special material he had created himself. When his first suit was made he wouldn't allow anyone to test it other than himself. He believed that if there should be anyone put in danger with one of his creations, it would be himself. He decided to test his suit in one of the many Lochs of Scotland. Though on his way towards the dock he was supposed to dive off of, he fell through a hole in the ground that lead to an underground cave. There were many caves that covered the island, most of them having been undiscovered and unexplored. Nicolai decided to walk through the cave, knowing that eventually it would empty into a body of water where he could swim back to where he should have been. But then his eyes caught something, a glowing blue light in some of the moss that covered the cave. As he looked closer he noticed more blue lights, slowly leading him through the cave. He followed these little lights until he came to a wall of mossy-seaweed-like substance. It was speckled with these little blue lights, and behind it, he could hear the sound of water. And so he parted through this mossy substance to find open water. There were no other coasts in sight, and he wondered how far he had wandered from his original location.

He stepped off the rocks to find an immediate drop off in the water. He could still see faint glowing lights in the water, and so with his curiosity spiked, he put on his oxygen mask and goggles and he submerged himself. The water was almost pitch black, but that didn't stop him. He swam deeper, following the lights that seemed to keep getting deeper. He didn't know how deep this body of water was, and it was extremely dangerous to be swimming in waters he'd never been in before, but he didn't care. There seemed to be something that had come over him, those blue lights just entranced him. He could not turn away from them, he had to keep following them. He paused when one of the blue lights flickered, and then it opened. It blossomed like a flower, and then it revealed a beautiful blue bug. It kind of resembled a glowing blue shrimp. Nicolai became fascinated, but just as he reached out to touch it, something collided into him. It was a massive black thing, having been hidden within the unusual darkness of the water. It knocked him away and ate up the bug before he could react. He looked around in fear, and was hit a few moments again, but this time it knocked his oxygen mask off his face. With a flurry of bubbles, the mask fell off into the unknown depths of the water. He looked around, and attempted to swim towards the surface of the water. Though, he could not see it. He began to panic. He began to thrash about in the water, feeling as if every second was going to be his last. And then suddenly, something washed over his entire body. The panic melted away along with the tightening in his chest. The feeling of desperation for air faded, and he calmed himself down.

His lips parted, bubbles drifting from them as he paused before taking in a breath. He didn't cough, nor did he drown. He actually inhaled successfully underwater. His eyes widened and he exhaled in shock, bubbles rushing out of his mouth in a flurry. He took in another breath, and began to realize that something magical was happening. He could breathe underwater! He took a few moments to re-focus, and then he resumed swimming downwards, following the mystical blue lights. He swam for a long time, and then his eyes fell upon an amazing sight. It was a tall tower, lit up with yellow lights in all of its many windows. His eyes widened at the sight, and his jaw slacked stupidly in pure shock. He swam closer to the tower until a blue figure merged from one of the windows. He paused in his swimming as the figure approached him. It seemed to be another person. It was a young girl, with skin bluer that the sky above, and eyes of a radiant gold. She resembled a mermaid that was often thought to be simple folklore. She had puffy gills on her neck, and scales covered her blue skin. She was beautiful, she was everything that every scientist had ever dreamt of. She cautiously approached him before reaching out and touching him. He jumped, and she jerked back for a moment. The two were curious about one another. He stayed, lifeless, just staring at her. Then, her deep blue lips parted, and she actually spoke.

"Name?"

It was a simple word, one that Nicolai would have normally responded to with ease and no hesitation, but he was in such a state of shock that it took him a few moments to realize what this girl was asking. He let out a nervous stutter, before fumbling out his name.

"N-n-nicolai Malcovitch..."

The girl tilted her head, sounding the name out once, before smiling at him. She seemed friendly enough. And without another word she reached out, taking hold of his goggles. She pulled them off, and looked through them curiously. Nicolai closed his eyes instantly, expecting the burning sting of the water, but after a few moments he gathered the courage to open his eyes. For a few seconds things were blurry and his eyes had an odd tingling sensation, but then things cleared up, and he gasped at the sight. Everything was so much more visible. The water was no where nearly as dark as it had been when he had his goggles on. He could see an entire city behind the massive tower, and all kinds of things within the water. Then he realized something. He wasn't dead. He was far beyond the depths that any human should have been able to swim without an oxygen mask. He looked down to his anti-pressure suit, and then courageously, he unzipped it. He was in his normal swim trunks under the suit, and after shedding it, he took in a breath. He felt the cold water meet with his mostly bare skin, and he got the same tingling feeling that he had felt on his eyes. It was amazing, and then he looked to the mermaid girl. She took his hand within her webbed one, and the two began to swim towards the underwater city. Nicolai spent a whole day in the water, discovering creatures and secrets that no human should have stumbled upon. Finally he resurfaced, and when he returned to his lab, people were in a frenzy. They thought that he had died or had been kidnapped. But when he tried to explain to them what he had found, their celebration ended. They thought at first that he had been drugged, but when no drugs had been found in his system they wondered if perhaps he had simply lost it.

He tried and tried to tell them all, but no one believed him. He returned to the under water city several times, having fallen in love with it. He had noticed that after a few days of being away, he would hear whispers in his ears. These whispers were soft and ever so entrancing, they came in waves and they sounded like water gently flowing through him. He swore that it was that city calling to him. That city was magical. He started writing all his findings down, all of this godly information of magic and the secrets of the world was being recorded for the first time ever. He used special books, advised by the people of the under water city that if those secrets fell into the wrong hands, that the world would come to a chaotic destruction. These books were magical, and would only show what he had written within the confines of the underwater city. He soon became consumed with his work, wanting to record as much knowledge and information on this place as he could. He wrote books upon books, he drew illustrations and maps, he brought countless books down there with him as well. Soon there were whole libraries filled with information that he had either written himself or brought down from the human world. He had even managed to get his hands on some of the government's dirtiest secrets and he copied and stashed them as well. The government was corrupt, and was slowly destroying the beauty of the Earth. He wanted to share that with people. But he knew of the dangers.

He worked for ten years, and then the government heard of his raving "lunatic" speaking of this lost city. They had heard of this city before, and many referred to it as Atlantis, though even Nicolai did not believe that it was the actual Atlantis, and instead that it was something much better. The government started to monitor Nicolai in hopes of finding the whereabouts of this city. They had been searching for it for years. The magic source of the city was something the government wanted. They longed for the power that it was capable of providing them. They could use the creatures for experimentation, and the magic for their own military gain. They would destroy and totally obliterate the city. Nicolai knew this, and so for the longest time he managed to stay untracked, going to the city only when he was sure that he would not be discovered. But everyone slips up. Eventually he was discovered, as was the cave that lead to the opening of the city. Luckily, Nicolai had seen them coming, and had managed to hide away all his information within the safety of the city before being captured. His last words had been heard at a rally, where he declared that the city was real one last time. Then, he simply vanished. No one ever heard from him again. Some people thought he died, others thought he'd totally lost it and had finally been institutionalized. The government had thought that they had control.

They sent down three agents into the city, but what happened was disastrous. Two of the agents didn't make it out alive. Their bodies were thrown to the surface by an unknown force, as if the body of water itself had rejected them. Two of them were dead, the life had literally been sucked from their bodies. And the third had been returned battered, broken, and totally insane. He only babbled insanities that couldn't be understood by anyone. The government quickly understood that they were messing with a force that they could not invade alone. They tried machines, cameras, anything to get some sort of glance at the world. But with every broken machine or failed attempt, they began to get more and more desperate, and more reckless. Eventually, after spending thousands upon thousands of dollars, they started to get greedy. They were wasting money! And so, they devised a plan. They had been monitoring Nicolai long enough to know that he really believed that people with pure hearts only, could get into the city. And so they started watching orphanages, looking for teenagers who had no families with pure hearts. After all, what better place to find those pure of heart other than orphanages? They found six teenagers suitable for the mission. Three boys, and three girls of course. Most of them all already had some sort of strong connection to nature, people, or things that set them apart from normal people. There was a deeper caring within all of them, the features they had were things that most people in the world didn't have. They cared, they loved, they dreamed, they hoped, and they believed in something greater than machines and destruction. The government promised them all different things. It could be an education, freedom from the foster homes, money, anything. They lied to the teenagers, doing whatever they could to get the teens to agree to this secret mission.

The teens were informed that they were to simply learn about a different habitat. When asked why them, the government explained that they had simply been picking people at random. The teens were then all taken to the cave. They were dropped off in the same place that Nicolai had fallen through and were told to simply follow the little blue lights. The government knew not to interfere, and so they backed off, leaving the teens. They would be monitoring them though. The teens listened, following the blue lights until they reached the moss wall, and then the shore. They figured it out soon enough, though they didn't really understand what they were supposed to do. They got into the water after stripping down into bathing suits or whatever, and then they dove down, following the blue lights further and further. They noticed right away that they didn't run out of breath, and since they weren't in suits like Nicolai, they had been exposed to the magic much quicker. They too developed the ability to breathe in the water, along with seeing clearly. After overcoming the shock, the teens went into the city that now seemed to be abandoned. There were no mer-people to greet them like the girl who had greeted Nicolai. They were fearful, scared of all the machines and things that the humans had been sending down. They had been informed of the government's intent to use their magic, to destroy their home, and so they hid away. The teens entered the very same tower that Nicolai had first spotted. It had been the tower that he stashed most of his things. They entered through one of the windows, and stumbled upon libraries of books, pictures, readings, all kinds of information. They went through some of it, before continuing to explore. The teens were fascinated, absolutely mesmerized by the place. Never in their wildest dreams would they have imagined a place like that existed.

After a few hours they returned to the cave as they had been ordered to do, and they set up a camp within the cave with supplies provided for them. The teens talked, and formed bonds rather quickly. They were all orphans, they had a lot in common, especially their newfound love for this world. They shared stories and songs, they quickly became connected. The next day they returned to the underwater world. They stayed in the cave for two weeks total, and soon they were spending almost all of their time in the water cities. They discovered cute little creatures and also encountered some of the more dangerous ones. They figured things out and soon the underwater world became their home. They too suffered from the whispering effect that the underwater city had on them. The longer they stayed away, the more persistent the light whispers were within the backs of their minds. They loved the world, they cared for each other, they were happy. Finally they had a place that they felt they belonged to. Some of the mer-people had even emerged and welcomed them. They learned so much from Nicolai's writings. They began to wonder where he had gone. When they returned to the government facility designated for the mission, they all asked questions. Their questions went unanswered and soon the teens became suspicious. It didn't take long for one of them to over hear one agent talking about harnessing the power from the city for military purposes. The teen told the others, and they were all horrified in similar ways. They became disgusted, and they felt used. They began to worry for their beloved city. They wanted to return.

When released, they all met up and planned to go back to the underwater world despite the fact that they had all taken an oath not to do so. They made it as far as the moss wall before being discovered. They tried to enter the water, but after one was injured while trying to swim downwards, they surrendered not wanting anyone else harmed. The teens were again returned to the facility, about ten miles away from the cave entrance. They were all questioned as to why they had returned, and they all gave the same answer. They declared that what was going on was wrong, that they had been used, and that they refused for the government to take over the underwater city that they loved. They declared that they would no longer help, and that they would not allow for the government to continue. And so, all of them were locked up and mostly separated, though the facility was small, and the teens managed to keep communication between each other. They would not stand for what the government was planning. They would escape, they would return to the under water world that they'd decided to call Atlantis, and they would learn all they could to help protect the city beneath the water. The magic there was more powerful than anything a human could create, and these six teens knew they could use it for good. They were exactly what the city needed. They were pure of heart, they were young, and they were strong. They've been locked up for a week. The whispers are unbearable. They will make their move tonight...

It is just about sunset on the seventh day that the teens have been locked up. They're all going crazy due to the whispers that have been getting more and more intense with each passing moment they're away from the cave. They've all managed to keep communication with each other, using a code that they learned within the underwater world. They've planned their escape, and are going to put this plan into motion tonight. The plan is that the injured one will escape through the bars, while the other teenagers create a commotion to distract the guards. Then, the injured one will sneak about and let the others go. Then the plan is to simply bolt. They know the area better than the government and they have designated a different hidden cave to hide in. There aren't many guards within the facility due to the fact that most of the members on the island are gathered down by the city, attempting to enter it without dying or becoming injured. Once they meet up, the teens plan to head towards the city using a different route. They know that if they can get to the water, they can basically swim under the government agents without being tracked. All they know is that they have to get to the city before it is too late. Using Nicolai's books and writings they are sure that they can personally harness the power of the city to help protect it.

The teens are slowly gaining supernatural powers. They will start off as minor powers, that they are still attempting to figure out and learn to control. As the roleplay progresses and the teens learn more, their powers will become more powerful. The water, the city, fuels their power. If it is destroyed, their powers will no longer exist.

The teens currently have no idea where Nicolai has disappeared to. They hope that they will find out soon enough, or at least what has happened to him. They have strong hopes and beliefs that he is still alive.

So far, the government has not managed to enter the water. Their machines have all become broken and people have died when they have attempted. But technology advances quickly, and they may be able to enter and pose a threat eventually.

Most of the creatures within the city have yet to reveal themselves to the teenagers. There are many out there, and they may be stumbled upon. Perhaps they can be used and can be useful. The creatures have powers as well, and if harnessed or befriended, the teens can use the creatures' assistance to help protect the city. Most of the creatures do speak English, also.

While experiencing the powers, the teens are also going through all kinds of different changes. They're dealing with a massive issue, and are still attempting to over come the shock that all of this is real in happening. Their bodies are changing every day to adapt to the water. The whispers are getting louder and stronger. It's enough to drive someone crazy. The teens are also becoming closer with one another, and the closer they get, the more dangerous things get for the teens.

-More will be added as we continue or as questions are asked.

The Intricacies:
      Occupation Before Being Recruited:Hotel Maid
      Biography:
»»» She was born only because of a choice. It was a choice that did not belong to her, but her mother. There were birthing complications, and when it came down to the life or death decision, Jaydah's mother chose to save her child in the knowledge that she would end up giving up her own life in the process. She named her child, and got to hold Jaydah for eighteen minutes before her weak heart finally gave in, and she drifted into endless peace. The crying baby was then scooped out of her mother's caring arms, and placed into the arms of her father. He stared at his passed away wife, never had he seen a smile like that grace her lips. In her passing, she had been the happiest woman on the world. The new father looked down at the baby in his arms, those brilliant midnight eyes staring back at him. And in those moments, the crying baby became silent, and she let out a gentle coo. Silence fell between the two of them as they stared. It was love at first sight.

He was an amazing man, her father. He was a very kind man, said to have the biggest heart in the world. He raised his daughter to be just like him, to treat everyone with kindness and respect. He raised her to know about her mother and about what a wonderful woman she was. He told her that the eighteen minutes her mother had held on to her, was symbolic. For every year she missed of her child growing up, there was one minute. Eighteen minutes for eighteen years. He was a doctor, very prestigious and known for his brilliance. He had enough money to afford a comfortable life style for the next five generations, and so he offered his services to poor families, free of charge. Jaydah travelled with her father, from state to state and even to different countries as he helped countless families. This girl experienced the wonders of the world before she was seven years old. She fell in love with culture and people. She loved travelling and she loved helping people with her father. As she grew, she started to learn from him. She was a brilliant young girl, reflecting her father's intelligence very early. She was always at her father's side, even around the most gruesome of injuries. She spent most of her time comforting the patients, holding their hands and telling them stories, or singing them songs. She always tried to do what she could to keep their mind off of the pain or worry of their injuries or sickness. They were the perfect team for one another. They went together like two peas in a pod, and were completely inseparable. It seemed as if this father and daughter duo were going to change the world, and that was exactly their goal.

But all good things must come to an end. By the time Jaydah was ten years old, word of this doctor and his sweet daughter had spread across the world. And while most people thought them to be saints, there were others who disagreed. There were rich, greedy men who felt that this free doctor was taking away business from insurance companies and big hospitals. After all, who needed insurance if one of the best doctors in the United States would come to your door and treat you for free? Anger and greed are horrible things.

Jaydah's father stood on a massive stage in the middle of a city. He stood tall and proud behind a pedestal, and he was speaking to masses of people. His daughter stood next to him, holding one of his hands as he spoke of the benefits of universal health care. He was explaining to people about how so many more people could be helped, about how the United States could be a healthier place. The passion burning in his eyes in those moments was moving, and as he spoke the crowd stood in utter silence. His words echoed out, and as he paused to take a breath, something else echoed out.

        A gun shot.

And just as Jaydah's father turned to point to a diagram, a bullet met with his chest, and went straight into his heart. An eerie silence filled the air not seconds later, and as the doctor fell, Jaydah stood in shock, blood spattered across her innocent face. She stood there in shock for several seconds, her midnight eyes lowering to her father as he laid on the ground, blood slowly pouring from his wound. Then she realized what had happened and as tears pricked her eyes, she let out the most blood curdling scream. The little girl fell down to her knees, her hands instinctively going to her father's chest and pushing down. She was putting pressure on the wound. She stared into her father's eyes, screaming. She couldn't stop. She pushed on the wound, trying desperately to stop the bleeding but it just kept coming. It covered her hands. People in the crowd started screaming and rushing away, some even trying to get on stage to help. Security arrived moments later and so did an ambulance. The girl never left her father's side.

She spent half an hour pushing on her father's chest. When they arrived at the hospital, they pulled her away from him. His heart gave in only one minute later. Doctors spent an hour trying to revive him. No one wanted to give up on him, not with that little girl staring into the surgical room. The news came, and the girl was sorrow ridden. She stared down at her hands for the longest time, her father's blood dried upon her fingers. She ran into the surgical room after everyone left, and tried to revive him herself. She charged the defibrillator and attempted to shock him. She ended up shocking herself, and the result was a burn on her arm, that much resembled a shattered heart. She was pulled out of the room by doctors after that, kicking and screaming.

With no living relatives, the little girl was put into an orphanage. The money that her father had was dolled out to charities and such, for the money went into his old hospital's hands, instead of his daughters. Greed and corruption ruled everything, even when it comes to ripping a future right out of a young girl's hands. She was quiet, and had grown rather isolated from the other children. She spent most of her time in her room drawing, coloring, or singing. When ever potential parents would come to see her, she would lock herself in her room or hide. She didn't want new parents. She didn't want to pretend that she never had her dad or mom. She loved them with all her heart and she would never let anyone replace them. She hated all of the other parents, thinking that they could replace her father or mother. She also developed a hatred for doctors, hearing many news stories about doctors that messed up their patients, lied to them or used them. Those weren't real doctors. They were monsters, greedy, hate filled monsters. It seemed to Jaydah that real doctors had died the very day her father had. That all the goodness in the world had died with her father. She spent seven years in the orphanage, silently longing for something greater. She missed the world and the people in it. She missed seeing miracles, tears of joy, she missed the goodness.

She got a job at fifteen as a hotel maid, hoping to save up enough money to attend medical school. She was determined to follow in her father's footsteps in hopes that she could improve the world. She was approached by a government official at age seventeen. He had been staying in a hotel room she was cleaning and asked her if she wanted to help in a project. She had been told it was to discover some cove with new species. Having a love for animals, Jaydah became interested. She met with several officials two days later. When she was promised free passage through the most prestigious medical school, she instantly accepted. No more cleaning dirty hotel rooms! Plus she would get to see new species, and then attend the same medical school her father did. It was a dream come true... It was a dream that quickly turned to nightmare.

She fell in love with the underwater paradise, and even more so with the others. She wanted to stay there forever, feeling happy for the first time in years. She felt like she really belonged there, helping the creatures in the water. When the government took them and Jaydah discovered the truth, she became enraged. When they escaped and tried to get back, Jaydah was the only one who braved jumping in the water. Her arm was broken after being viciously pulled out of the water and then beaten by an official. Carted off to the government building, Jaydah has used her intelligence to devise the flawless escape plan. She's been sitting in her cell, with the whispers of Atlantis only growing stronger. With her arm healing at an alarming rate, she knows she'll be back soon to save that place. It was what her father would have done... She had found her true calling.

      - Jaydah has always been a natural-born caretaker. From the time that she was able to, she's always been caring for people. She worries for those that she loves constantly, and she has an amazing ability to care for people. She's extraordinary at healing people, as if her hands were blessed with the gift of healing. She will sing or read poetry and stories to people to comfort them, and is an expert at making someone who has been hurt smile. She feels as if it was her calling to help people, to make sure that the people around her are taken care of and healthy. She has a good knowledge of plants and ancient cures for diseases and symptoms. Her ability to wrap a wound or to sew shut a gash is unmatched and she does so with such a gentle touch that it seems as if she can lift the very pain from the people. She's noticed lately that when helping heal someone, she gets aches or cramps, and most of all headaches, but she doesn't understand why.

      - Jaydah has always been a naturally athletic person. She's always been known for running around and always having energy. It seems as if once she gets going, she cannot be stopped. She can run for miles and she can endure the constraints of fatigue with ease. It seems as if this girl is barely affected by fatigue. Ever since she's entered the underwater world, Jaydah has noticed that it's even harder to tire herself out. She's always bursting with energy, and she seems to be a little stronger. She can run longer, harder, and faster, she can swim stronger, she can go without running out of breath longer. She's in the best shape of her life--and that shape is starting to seem like she could give professional athletes a run for their money.

      - Jaydah has always been a child of the moon. She's always loved being out and about at night, with the stars and moon shining brightly above her. She thrives in the night and if she could be nocturnal, she most certainly would be. She adores the sun, but she has a love for the stars and moon that cannot be compared to anything else. The cool night air seems to energize Jaydah, and give her a glow that seems inhuman. The way she glitters in the moonlight is supernatural. Several times while thinking under the moonlight, she thinks she has saw herself holding a small ball of light that resembles a miniature moon. But every time she opens her eyes or looks at it, it seems to disappear before she can confirm if it's real or not. Perhaps the moonlight has a greater effect on her than she thinks.

      - Jaydah is very little. She doesn't stand very tall, and weighs little. She has the body of a dancer, and with that comes the flexibility of a dancer as well. She has always mastered games like hide and seek, tag, and similar games. She's always been a master at hiding, running away, and dodging things. She can fit her body into things that most children couldn't, her ability to stretch and bend makes it possible for her to squeeze through, or under things that would be difficult for a normal person. She can climb like a monkey, and she's got quick reflexes. Her ability to run and dodge things makes her a very hard person to catch, and keep hold of. So you could imagine she's a nightmare for people wanting to catch her.

      - Jaydah cannot stand the silence. She loves noise and sound way too much, and so she's always carrying around her iPod. If she isn't listening to music she's playing it or singing to herself. Music is the main way that Jaydah copes with her problems. She cannot live without it. Music fuels this girl's soul and her spirit. It is as if music is the very life and fire that is within her. If you were to take away her ability to sing, play and listen to music, Jaydah would quickly be driven off the edge of sanity. She cannot stand complete silence and will often do anything to break that silence. But just as she is weak without her music, she is strong with her music. When Jaydah is playing her music loud, when she absorbs herself completely in her music, she becomes so much stronger. She focuses easier and can do things with much more ease. Music gets Jaydah pumped up and it keeps her that way. It allows her to function at top preformance, even if she is tired or hurt. Music fuels Jaydah, and she's been relying on it more and more.

      Weaknesses:
-Jaydah has a downfall to the fact that she is a natural born caretaker. She becomes very attached to the people that she cares for, and often struggles to part with them or to see them harmed. It's the same way with anyone who becomes close to Jaydah in anyway. Seeing as how she literally has no family, Jaydah often relies on her friends to be that family that she's missing. Jaydah has a love for her friends that cannot be matched, and with that love comes a heavy price. She cannot stand to see them hurt or upset; it tears Jaydah apart. Conflict is another issue that Jaydah struggles with. She simply cannot handle it, especially when it involves her friends. Jaydah hates to have those she loves mad at her, for any reason (wrong or right), and will often do whatever it takes to ensure that they aren't mad or upset with her. Jaydah will even step up and take the blame for something she had nothing to do with, for a friend. Jaydah would literally put her life on the line for someone she cares about, which puts Jaydah into a very vulnerable position if one of her friends were to be used to manipulate her.

-For a girl who wants to be a doctor, Jaydah certainly doesn't deal with illness well. Jaydah doesn't necessarily get sick easily, but when Jaydah does get sick, it gets really bad. For whatever reason, her immune system has considerable trouble fighting off illness once it has contaminated her body. Jaydah generally takes much longer than the average person to recover from even the lightest of colds, and her symptoms are usually very elevated. When Jaydah becomes ill she becomes incredibly weak and fragile. The smallest of things can knock her back, and if Jaydah isn't careful she could quickly be put at a lot of risk when ill.

-Despite the fact that Jaydah is very good at hiding in small places, and in fitting into tight spaces, she dislikes the feeling of being constricted or restrained. She doesn't deal well with the caged feeling, and knowing she cannot get out of a certain place or a small area freaks Jaydah out. It isn't that she's claustrophobic, it's that she cannot stand when she feels as if she's not free. So you can only imagine how well Jaydah is dealing with being locked up in a government facility. Being caged torments Jaydah like no other, it's as if the lack of feeling free tears her soul apart bit by bit. Jaydah is a free spirit and feeling caged is one of the worst things you could do to her. It's almost like cutting a bird's wings off and setting it in front of a window so it can see all that it's missing. When locked up for long periods of times, Jaydah becomes increasingly distressed, restless, and anxious. If locked up long enough, Jaydah might just lose it.

-Jaydah's size has another disadvantage despite it's many advantages. She cannot deal with extreme temperatures well at all. She gets cold or hot very quickly, and tends to over heat/freeze a lot easier than most people. Her body is small and therefore unable to produce as much body heat as the average person. When in high temperature areas, Jaydah struggles to deal with it. In hot areas she succumbs to heat exhaustion, dizziness, and heat stroke much faster than other people. She also burns easier in areas with a lot of sunlight. The same goes with cold areas. She loses body heat just as quickly as she can gain it, and that often causes issues. She can lose feeling in her limbs quicker than most people and that often causes numbness and the slowing of her blood. It's almost like her blood freezes with her body. She can get frostbite a lot quicker and easier than most people as well. When Jaydah is in the cold she slows down both physically and mentally, she starts to lose her train of thought, and eventually conciousness. Her body attempts to shut down in very cold environments in a desperate effort to conserve body heat.

-Being as musically inclined as she is, the lack of said music can drive Jaydah absolutely crazy. She loves music to an extent that it is a need and no longer a want. Jarring noises and disjointed rhythms throw Jaydah off, they make her unable to focus or to concentrate. When Jaydah cannot hear music in something; it makes her increasingly anxious and nervous. It's almost like her body doesn't knwo how to react without music around. When she hears noise but no music, it's most certainly worse than silence to Jaydah. She'll do anything to create or mimick music, hum, sing, whistle, tap her hands against a solid surface in a drumming pattern, anything to keep the music going around her. In situations of high stress, Jaydah relies on her music, and without that music she doesn't know how to react. Music is Jaydah's life.

The Misc. And The Obvious:

The Intricacies:

      Occupation Before Being Recruited: Waitress.

      Biography:
»»»According to the obituary column in the newspaper, Adriana was born into a happy family, with wonderful parents. They were reportedly some of the nicest, kindest people one could ever meet. Ana remembers none of that, only brief flashes of memories that make hardly any sense. What she does know, however, is how that life was ended.

One night, a small group of robbers broke into the family's house, intent on stealing valuables. However, Adriana's father awoke, and sent his wife to call the police whilst he tried to hold them off. Her mother got into her room safely, and hid her daughter amongst a pile of stuffed toys and clothes, telling her to lie still and be quiet, before rushing back to her husband, dialing 911 as she did so. To this day, Adriana feels guilty that she was able to fall back asleep whilst her parents were murdered. But by some miracle, the robbers ascertained that the child was at a sleepover or something, and were unable to find the little girl, hidden safely in her room. The police, arriving too late (as always), discovering the three-year-old alive and unharmed. All her other family was dead, so she was taken to an orphanage along with all the rest of other unfortunate wretches.

She spent her life there, the only few possessions she had from childhood coming with her in a small box. Everything else had been seized by the government. She was a good child growing up, quiet and gentle, keeping out of everyone's way and preferring to spend her days in the garden or stable, surrounded by the orphanage's animals. And although she was a sweet, tender child that would've done well in foster care, she was never adopted. When people came to meet the children, she would run and stay hidden for hours, not to be seen. Her caretakers would come looking for her, calling her name, but she would not respond, remaining safely where she was. It's not that she didn't want a mommy and a daddy or brothers and sisters and toys and a room all to herself. It's just that she wanted her mommy and daddy. And if she couldn't have them, she'd rather stay with the people she'd come to grow attatched to at the orphanage. This behavior continued well into her adolescent years--to this day, the Headmistress doesn't know where Adriana managed to hide all those times.

As she approached the age of 18, Adriana prepared for her life away from the orphanage, trying to find a job so she could support herself once the system was forced to kick her out. She found one as a waitress in a local cafe, and so was able to go out on her own. However, barely a week or two passed before she was approached by two men in black. They told her that they were from the government, and they needed her help. She was told that they had discovered a strange new habitat, crawling with all new kinds of life, and they were asking her if she wanted to go explore it! They would pay her, they said--a large sum of money that almost made her jaw drop to the floor. She would've said yes even before the offer, but hey, an added bonus was nice too!

But, as Adriana and the other five like her soon learned, that offer was a ruse. Just a ploy by the government used in order to get them what they wanted. And now, because of their greed, Adriana is currently locked inside a cell, with whispers from Atlantis heavy in her mind, calling her back to the cerulean waters. The magic is stirring, forcing her hand to move on.

        It's time to go home.

      -Dancing.
      -Cooking.
      -Swimming.

      Strengths:
-Singing is Adriana's strong point. She is at her best when singing or humming, and seems to have an effect on all who listen. At times it's almost like she can make people feel the emotions in the music.

-Adriana has always had a deep connection with animals. Recently though, it seems that she can almost speak to and understand them.

-Along with all the freaky animal-stuff, Ana has noticed that she seems to be more in tune with Nature. She's always loved the outdoors and all the flowers, but lately, it's like she's more connected with it than ever before. Like, she knows what a plant is and what it does almost immediately, even if she's never seen it before.

-Even more weird than the animal and plant stuff is the stuff that seems to be happening in the very earth Ana walks on. It's only happened once or twice (when she felt really strong emotions), but it seems that the earth--the dirt and rocks and everything--seems to respond to her. Almost as if she would be able to move the ground around her or something.

-As a child, Adriana was always fascinated with "old school" medicine. You know, like crushing up flowers into powders and all that jazz. She studied well, and knows a whole bunch of stuff on that subject. She can fix someone up quickly, no problem, as long as she's got the right plants.

      Weaknesses:
-Since childhood, Adriana has been deathly frightened of the dark. Night-lights are standard things for her, and she cannot sleep without one. She panics if kept in darkness for too long.

-Living in an orphanage means being constantly surrounded by people. As such, being alone is an alien feeling to Adriana. And she really doesn't like it. She needs companionship to function.

-Because Adriana lost her whole family when she was young, she cherishes every friend she makes, and cares for them deeply. This is one of her biggest weaknesses, as people can use that to harm her. She would do anything to save a friend or loved one--even die for them.

-Adriana has a temper, which can and will get the better of her. She is able to take an insult or two, depending on what the insult is, but more often than not, any kind of cutting remarks will count as “Fightin’ Words” to her. She definitely does not believe in turning the other cheek--if someone hits her, she will not just walk away. She will fight back, even if she knows she'll loose. This often gets her into deep trouble.

-The locket Adriana wears is the only thing she has left of her parents. It is her most precious, precious possession, and if she lost it, or if someone stole/broke/destroyed it, she would be completely devastated.
