Prince made his way through the swampy forest that he and his brother had made their home. It had been some time now since they had last seen their mother, they were coming to terms with the fact that she had abandoned them. He snorted and stomped one hoof, who was he kidding? Their mother had left them! Their father had already taken their sister to his 'kingdom' and left them behind.. then their mother... it was apparent that no one wanted the duo of princes. So they set off, in search of their own kingdom, to prove that they weren't worthless...Were they?

"Yes, yes. Of course you're right." Black on black eyes rolled in mild irritation, annoyance, though veiled, clear in the heavy creole of the stallions rumbling voice. The source of the annoyance was nowhere to be seen, though.
"I'll find someone, don't you be worryin' now." Ivory features twisted in a grin. Expectant, excited. The stallion was on a bit of a mission, urged along by the honied voices of his friends on the other side. They whispered in his ears, always there. His constant companions in his lonely travels. They whispered now of finding a toy, a pretty little mare to serve as sweet company and amusement. He'd found it a highly intriguing plan when presented to him some time ago, now the constant reminders were wearing on his nerves. Plenty he'd met could have filled the role, but Os de Blanc was not one to settle.
He wandered now, as he had been for months. Sticking to gloomier trailers and dark, swampy lands. He preferred the feel of the bayou, the marshlands. The wreaked of home. Dank, heavy air a-glow with the lights of fireflies and the songs of swamp bugs and frogs. It was a matter of comfort, though the sorts that would tend to seek him out for his particular "talents" didn't much wander beyond the eerie water table. It was a little slice of home, and good for business. Blanc saw no reason to leave. Save for those rare treks in the sun on his endless searching.

Prince heard the steps in the murky water, there was someone in his kingdom...His head jutted up, his red eyes searching for the source. He knew his brother was not near as he was in charge of patroling the other end of the swamp until dark. His ears flickered and his tail flicked up hard against his side. His mind had switched gears from being upset about his mother leaving he and his brother to a fury about someone being in their kingdom without being invited.
"Who dare trespass here?!" his voice called out angrily into the swamps around him. The thought of skinwalker or kalona didn't even cross his mind.

The voodooan stallion paused in his wanderings, a single painted ear swiveling towards the sound of an angry call carried over murky water and stagnant air. "Interesting," he mused to himself, or perhaps to the diffused shadow pooling aorund his feet. "What's this, what is this~" A grin was sliding easily along the ivory white of his lips as she turned towards the sound of another. Curious now, for they'd mentioned something of trespassing. He hadn't known this land belonged to anyone.
Moving towards the location the voice had come from, the stallion raised his voice to call back. "A humble practitioner of the shadowed arts. Pray tell, who might I be speaking to?" His accent was thick as molasses, and simply dripping with southern charm.

He saw movement in the distance, his ears continued to flick then steadied as he heard a voice answer him. Practitioner of the shadowed arts? Now that provided enough curiousity for Prince to hold off an attack.. for now.
"The Prince of this kingdom address you!" he called out, making his way slowly towards the other figure. As he drew closer he could make out the boney markings and accessories of, what he would call, a witch doctor.
He stopped and tilted his head slightly, "My brother and I have made our kingdom here. Are you here to destroy us?"

"A prince? Do tell. Now that's not somethin' you stumble upon often." Black on black landed on the serpentine form of the green stallion. Taking note of the macabre mask before sliding down to that impressive length of tail. Interesting. "Destroy? Perish the thought."
He continued forward, pace leisurely and none threatening. "I hadn't known this lovely swamp was a kingdom." He grinned, aiming for friendly and charming. "Humbled I am, to be in the presence of royalty." To his credit, the draft managed to keep his voice curious and interested, rather then sarcastic. It wasn't that he disbelieve the other, but the notion of royalty had always been a funny notion to someone who regularly conversed with shadows and entities not of this world.

"The Black Prince and I reside her, therefor we consider this our kingdom since we live here. That is how it works, yes?" his head tilted, his mother had never exactly told them how their father had obtain his kingdom.
"What are you,?" his head tlted to the other direction. "Do you know anything of building a kingdom?" his brother and I had been talking about hwo they should go about making their kingdom larger and more prominent. He continued to look over the stranger. He didn't seem to be harmful of nature, perhaps he could help the duo.

"Oh yes, that certainly is how it works." The tiniest hints of humor had leaked into his voice now, but nothing insulting, or even noticeable if you weren't used to his accent. It was just odd that a "prince" would know so little of kingdoms.
"What am I?" An ivory painted ear twitched. "I and my friends on the other side are practitioners of the darker arts." He paused, searching the other stallion's face for some flicker of recognition. "Voodoo. Magic." He added, just to clarify. The Prince's second question was an unexpected one, but it left the draft smiling. "I know many things." A toss of his head sent weed green hair flying, beads and bones rattling as they resettled against his thick neck. "So how many citizens do you have this lovely kingdom of yours?"

Prince understood little of humor, he didn't catch the hints of it in the stallions voice. Voodoo? His head tilted again, he had never heard of that. "I'm afraid I do not know of your Voodoo, but I do know what magic is." his head bobbed.
He had never seen anyone perform real magic, but he had heard stories...just a few though.
His ears perked as the stallion continued, "Well, it is just my brother and I." he stated, "We don't need anymore..." he paused, "Do we?"
Though he and his brother had spoken of expanding their 'kingdom', GP was not so fond of the idea of sharing his brother with anyone.

A twitch of his lips turned his pleasant smile into more a smirk as the serpent tailed stallion admitted an ignorance in his craft. That didn't happen often, and it lead to so many delicious possibilities. The majority of which he wasn't sure if he cared to exploit just yet, if ever. But the -possibilities- were wonderfully broad.
"Voodoo is a specific brand, M'friend." Generally considered dark, though Blanc liked to believe it was no more evil then any other type magic. It all depended upon who was wielding it.
"Do ya not?" He mused, tilting his head. Watching the other male with black on black eyes. "And who will ya'll be rulin' if it's just the two of you?" A single verde brow arched. "Without followers, all ya be ruling is the insignificant critters of the swamp. Now I wager you'd want more for yourself and your brother then just that." The logic seemed perfectly logical to him. If you didn't have anyone to rule, what was the point of being royalty?

Prince straightened his head, pondering on the stallions statement for a moment, he was right...Who were he and his brother ruling? there was no one there except them. "Never thought of it that way I suppose, I don't suppose Black has either."
He looked over the green maned stallion with a coy green. "You will stay." he bobbed his head, "We could use your knowledge. We could honor you with the title of our advisor, an authority in our kingdom..."
He was sure his brother wouldn't mind, after all, this stallion did seem to know what he was doing... And, any stallion that has magical abilities would make for a good ally.

The draft looked on upon the serpent tailed stallion with amusement, though it was carefully veiled. He'd only just met the fellow, but he had to assume this was a male that didn't take being "laughed" at calmly, and Blanc was certainly not looking for a fight.
At the command his dark tipped ears twitched forward. "Will I?" Well, that was interesting. He almost protested, almost. Then the prince continued on to promise honor and authority. If there was one thing the voodoo priest loved, it was power of any flavor. It made him his pause, considering the "offer".
He'd been wandering relatively aimlessly for awhile now, would it be so bad to settle down? Not to mention, the prince seemed to be bit on the naive side, and that was always a trait the draft admired in potential relationships of any kind. So easily exploited should the need arise. Not that he planned to, but it was nice to have the option should ever he need it. Of course, he hadn't yet met the other brother.
Still.. "Well a'right then."

He bobbed his head as Blanc accepted, "Come, You will meet the other Prince." he turned, taking a few steps, his tail swishing back and forth slowly. He hoped that he brother would approve of his choice, Blanc seemed a wise soquili and his promise of magic intrigued him.
"Brother will have to approve, of course." he stopped, looking back at the stallion. "Do you serve another?" he eyed the stallion suspiciously for a moment, having forgotten to ask in earlier conversation. A spy from their father's kingdom perhaps? Someone sent to steal their new kingdom away from the duo.... His paranoia starting to kick in. He turned more, almost facing Blanc, "Are you a spy?", his head lowering just a tad.

He'd gotten no more then a step in following the prince after being asked to accompany him back to his brother. Then the other turned, watching him with obvious suspicion. "Another?" Pale brows rose. well, he did, sort of, but he hardly thought the serpent tailed stallion knew enough of voodoo to understand that particular bargain. It left him momentarily puzzled, then spoke of spies.
"Nothin' of the sort, my prince." He smiled, a lazy spread of lips. "The only service I owe is to your royal self, your brother, and my friends on the other side." He almost left it at that, but a little clarification was probably in order. "These friends o'mine have given me these powers, see? We've a bargain. Not that you'll have t'a be worrying over that any."
He gave a twitch of his nose in the direction they'd been about to head. "Shall we be goin' then, Friend?"

He stood there for a moment, contemplating the stallion's explanation. With a simple nod of the head he continued on. "This way then," he called over his shoulder.
He didn't know a thing of voodoo, but he was sure his new adviser would tell him of it soon enough. He slowly made his way through the swamp grounds, heading towards the area that he new his brother would be patrolling. He was sure, that with the wisdom and service this stallion had to offer....he'd be accepted immediately.
