What's with the saxophails? I have never heard that word before and I feel sort of insulted that you would call saxophones saxophails. I am a saxophone player, and I do not like that word. I will stay out of the way of any war, but I wish you'd just keep the saxophones in your band under that label and not any of the other saxophones, please.

Declared war?
Saxophone is just awesome. I've played clarinet but I didn't really care for it. I love what little chances I've got to play an saxophone.

Haha nice. I guess you can say my school has a bit of sax/clari rivalry, but thats only because in jazz two of the three a;tosaxes plus a tenor sax are all clarient players. So whenever we are having boring free practice for jazz and the other full sax palyers start playing old marching music, we always have to comment how much better the clarient part wasXD

Saxophone all the way. Clarinets are nasally and whiny sounding. My old band has more of a saxophone/trumpet rivalry, though.

Lithium Twilight I laugh my a** off when clarinets squeak during a song. xD Lol, same, even though i am one. I have a favorite squeak moment. Day of a concert, rehearsal during school. We were running probably the quietest part of the song, a clarient feature, and the seconds, which i was playing, held out a log low note. I squeaked the entire 12 counts. My stand partner turned to me and really loudly went "WTF?! was that?!?!?!"

About a week ago, each section was supposed to play in front of the band then the bass clarinets were up to play. It all went well at the beginning, then it died away. Then at the last minute, this one girl just played random notes and squeaked loudly. I nearly died laughing, and I'm still laughing about it now! x'D

It just didn't sound fair to me to put other saxes under the label. I'm sorry about that. I think both sections are in equality, personally. The clarinets in my band need to play louder during marching season. stare We're louder than them, and they have more of them then of us! They're the second largest section in my band. We're the smallest next to percussion or trombones.
