I recall in the former guild that toward the end we had a forum completely dedicated to getting to know members. Would it be a good idea to have that again? I actually liked that we had a place to meet people and stuff. You always wanna be comfy with the person you rp with, no? C:
Tell me whatchu think.

Although I think it's a great idea & all, I notice it tends to go unused after a while, maybe that wont happen in this guild though? D;

If everyone else wanted one I wouldn't object to it but I don't really like to chat about details of my personal life past an extent. But more so I just don't feel like that's a good way to get to know anyone. A good example is; most of the details I saw them listing I still don't know about Shaish. But I feel like she's one of my besties. x3

Because I'm secretly a ninjaaaa. [/hit]
I think it's an alright idea but when I saw other people doing it in the old guild, before it died, it seemed a little self centered to me, just talking all about yourself. There's also profiles here, on Gaia, whichAutopsyremindedmeoflol. Normally if people feel like sharing anything at all they put it there, but it's not really the best thing to read to get to know someone, like Autopsy said. Before when I've made an 'about me' section I came off sounding kind of mean or cold hearted or antisocial or something. XD; Which I can be at times but most of the time I think I'm pretty light hearted and goofy, I think. <<;
It just seems like one of those things where, for example, people love to fill out forms or surveys that have to do with something about them, but it all seems kind of like an ego trip and most of the stuff is basically just a fact list, not something you can really ..just not the best way to know how someone works. It's like reading the cover of a book and thinking 'ope, that's it then', when there's more to it. Or when people list a lot of things, half the time I don't think it all goes read, and the other half are just curious, but some stuff isn't really things that people need to know, and it kind of comes off like that person listing it is looking for attention, to me at least. Like with me for example, my occupation or orientation and all that, I don't mind people knowing but I don't openly list it anywhere, you know? o-o Besides, getting to know someone the long way is more fun I think, and less flat.
Sorry if I'm not making sense and RAMBLING. AGAIN. WRYYY. OTL

Lol. All of these are good points.
I actually think this is a good way to get new members comfortable. C: We seem to have quite a few, but we don't get a chance to talk to them very much. It's another way of doing ice breakers imo.

I actually wish they'd post around or something in OOC so we can talk to them but very rarely do they. OTL Some don't even stick around long enough to talk to. D; Or don't claim at all and go inactive. fdksl.

I wonder if there's a way to help get them comfy?
Maybe we should have a welcome thread? XD I'd like them to be more social, too.

Hmmm I'm not sure. Some just seem like they lose interest or maybe this guild wasn't exactly what they thought it was or something. D;
