Oh, it figured. That goddamn Shadow was out to get her. At least, out to get her fingers. Kali tore down the street, leaping over a child tying their shoe, pulling at the door to Lance's apartment building. God, why didn't it open FASTER?!
Behind her, Luka chattered, zipping through the air faster than she could run. She had slowed him down by taking a detour through the park, and had lost him in the trees, but he had caught up again, and it was DAMN hard to get rid of him again! He cried out as she opened the door, and slammed it behind her, hitting the door as he came near, unable to slow down enough. Ugh. That hurt. Shaking his head, he darted down, through the crack at the bottom of the door in time to see the elevator doors clang shut behind Kali.
He headed for the stairs.
They got up to Lance's floor at the same time, Kali making a mad dash for the door with Luka close behind her. He trilled as she opened it, going faster to try and make it...
But yet again, he hit the door, and fluttered away holding his head.
"I would have knocked but Luka's trying to eat my fingers." Kali said, leaning up against the door sa if it would keep the Shadow out. "Hope you don't mind. Where's Cain? I need a destraction."

Lance had been expecting Kali to come over today. He'd been hoping to get Cain to leave with Charlie, so that he could perhaps get some time alone with his girlfriend, but he'd had no such luck - apparently, Charlie was going to Gin's. And Lance wasn't about to send Cain over there, already knowing what, exactly, it was that those two were going to be doing. Inside his head, the Gothic boy cursed, slightly irritated with the situation.
Still, he supposed that he shouldn't complain - he was lucky that he was even able to hang out with his girlfriend. While he and Viktor HAD called a sort of truce, that didn't mean that he wasn't off the man's list-of-dislike. It would probably be next to impossible to get off of it too.
The sound of the door slamming caused Lance to jump. He whipped around and soon saw Kali leaning against the door, looking rather breathless - a second later, something slammed against the other side of the door.
Lance didn't even have to ask to know that it was Luka.
"Oh wow." The young man laughed and shook his head as he walked over to where Kali was holding the door shut. "I can't say that I mind too much." As if to answer Kali's question, Cain zipped over to the door, chirping in alarm. It sounded as though Luka had hurt himself! He certainly hoped that this wasn't the case! "I don't think that you even need to ask for one." Lance grinned before stepping forward to kiss Kali. "Sounds like you had quite a time getting over here though."

Luka slipped under the door as Kali stepped away from it, wrapping her arms around Lance's neck and pressing her lips to his with a small smile.
"Good of him to volunteer. Can we trade shadows? Luka's a pain in my butt." She pouted, leaning her head against his shoulder. "He chased me all the way here...I'm exhausted." She sighed, slumping a bit and trusting Lance to hold her up. He was more than strong enough. "Pity they're here. We can't...lie down. So, what do you have planned instead?" She smiled up at him, only slightly coy.
Luka shook his head and glowered at Kali, but was quickly distracted by Cain. Upon spotting him, he trilled, and tackled the other Shadow with a hug. It had been so long! He smiled, and snuggled him. He'd missed his friend. Chirping, he assured him he was alright, though his head did hurt a little bit. He pointed at the small bump and pouted. Too bad Katia wasn't there; she would have kissed it better for him.

Lance took no notice of Luka's appearance as he slipped under the door and grinned into the kiss as he felt Kali's arms around his neck. The shadows, he'd decided, could entertain themselves for a while. He was more preoccupied with the redhead that was currently leaning on his shoulder. "I don't think that Cain would appreciate me taking him away from the guitar." He'd probably scream his head off, really.
The black-haired boy smirked as Kali slumped against him and suddenly reached down, hooking one arm under her legs while his other supported her back as he lifted her off of her feet. "Exhausted, huh? Well, can't have you up if you're so exhausted." He grinned again and carried her to the couch. At any other point, he would have answered with 'sex' when it came to plans. As it was, they were in a bachelor pad with two shadows flying around, which kind of interfered with the whole idea.
Oh well. Make-outs were still an option. "Oh there are plenty of things that we can still do sitting up." He took a seat on the couch, setting Kali in his lap before kissing her again.
Bloody shadows. Why did they have to be here?
As per usual, Cain was greeted by the usual tackle-hug, which sent him and Luka spinning through the air for a moment. He chirped happily, hugging his friend back before beginning to examine the bump. Oh, it looked like it hurt! Katia may not have been there, but that didn't change the fact that Cain still was. Without hesitating in the slightest, the violet-eyed shadow flitted closer and gave Luka's bump a quick kiss - he may not have been Katia, but he hoped that it would do! "Vi vim?"

Kali giggled as Lance lifted her and carried her to the couch, accepting his kiss eagerly. Oh, he was despicable. But she liked it.
"They're still here." She whispered as they pulled apart, peeking over his shoulder at Luka and Cain. They were, it seemed, very occupied with one another. Shrugging ever so slightly, she smiled at Lance and kissed him softly.
"And they won't be entertained with what they're doing forever." Not that she didn't WANT to sit here and make out with Lance. She just didn't want the shadows to come over and ruin it. Which, really, was inevitable.
"Ja, lu." Luka giggled and touched his bump after Cain kissed it, thanking the other Shadow. It still hurt, but it hurt pleasantly now, if bumps could hurt pleasantly.
He turned and saw that Lance seemed to be kissing Kali's lips better. Was she okay? He hoped so. But as long as her fingers were in tact, Luka was pretty much alright with whatever Lance decided to do to her.
"Lu?" He turned back to Cain. What were they going to do today? They weren't allowed to play with the strangely shaped swords; Kali had told him he'd go in a jar if he did that again. So...what else could they do?

Lance glanced over his girlfriend's shoulder at the two shadows and fought back the urge to scowl. He knew that they would, and unlike Kali, HE didn't have any magical jars to stuff Cain in when he was being a pain. The black-haired boy sighed in a somewhat dramatic manner, but nodded in agreement. "I know." It was unfortunate that they didn't have other rooms in the apartment, aside from the bathroom - not that doors would be able to stop the shadows, but at least then they'd have some privacy.
"We have some movies around, if you want. Or...I could play you a song..." Actually, he had one that he'd been wanting to play for her for a while. Lance had been working on it pain stakingly and, after weeks of re-writing and saving copies from spills caused by Cain and Charlie, he'd finally gotten it. It had taken a while, but he thought that the result had been worth it.
Cain chirped, pleased to see that Luka's head seemed to be better. For a moment, the little shadow thought - what WOULD they do today? Charlie's toys weren't to be touched anymore, but Cain did have a few of his own. An idea struck him, and he grabbed his friend's hand, dragging him off towards the newest toy that Charlie had gotten for him - a train set. He'd been amusing himself with it for the last day or so, and found the plaything absolutely facinating. Perhaps Luka would like it too! "Vim, vi vi, vim!" They could make a new route for the train together!

"A movie sounds gre...a song?" She blinked, cocking her head to the side as Lance mentioned music. He had a song to play her?
She smiled, blushing lightly.
"I think I'd like to hear a song...is it new?" She slipped off of his lap and sat beside him on the couch, pulling her knees up to her chest so he could get up and get his guitar, if he needed it.
Luka's eyes lit up as Cain showed him the train set, chirruping and doing a small twirl. This was amazing! It looked like so much fun!!
But...how did it work?
He tilted his head to the side again and looked at Cain, pointing to the track pieces.
"Lu?" He asked, poking one. What did they do? Did they move? Did they light up? How did you play with it?

Lance grinned at her blush and reached over the side of his couch for the guitar. Carefully, the young man positioned the instrument in his lap and began plucking the string to make sure that it was tuned to his liking. "Kind of. I've been working on it for...well, for a while." The black-haired boy looked to her as he twisted the knobs at the head of his guitar. "You'll be the first to hear it."
And so, he began to play. The song wasn't hard and loud as his other pieces, but that wasn't to say that it was soft and slow either - no, the tune had a quick beat to it. The lyrics, however, were quite easy to read into - he hadn't been trying to hide any meaning in them, and he wanted the subject of the song to be easily heard.
It was a song about Kali.
"Vim!" Cain lifted a few of the track pieces and attached them together, showing Luka how the toy would work. It was quite simple, really. They would light up, yes, but that would come after! "Vim, vi vi vim!" And it would be even more fun when they finished putting the tracks together! Oh, he couldn't wait to show his friend!
The sound of Lance's playing caught in Cain's ears, and the little shadow found himself swaying and chirping to the sound as he laid down the tracks. He hoped that Luka would help him - it would be such fun when they were finished!

Kali couldn't help but flush deeply as Lance sang for her, sitting opposite him on the couch. It was...wow. Nobody had ever done something so sweet, or personal for her before. Certainly, never a boy.
She knew better than to leap on him with the guitar in his hands. She didn't want to risk breaking it, in any way. So, when he finished, she simply stared starstruck.
"Oh...Lance...that's...that's amazing." She smiled, reaching out to cup his cheek in one hand. "I love it. You're wonderful..." His voice, his playing; and most of all, he himself.
Luka bounced to the song with Cain, giggling as he caught on to how the train worked. Wow! It was so cool! Like an enormous puzzle. But what happened with the little things on wheels? He was still so confused...

Lance grinned when he saw Kali's expression; clearly, she'd liked it. The young man moved his guitar out of his lap as Kali moved to touch his cheek, and he reached out to wrap an arm around her. "I thought you'd like it." He leaned down and kissed her softly before pulling her up into his lap. Hopefully, it made up for the disaster of an evening they'd had when he'd gone to her family's house for dinner.
"Vim vi vi!" Cain giggled as they finished putting the tracks together and scurried over to put the fun part of this on the it - the train. The shadow chirped, making sure that his friend was paying attention before turning the toy on. A second later, the train was chugging along down the tracks, whistling as it did, like a real train. "Vi vim!" It was so cool! He hoped that he'd get to go on a train himself one day! It would be so much fun!

Kali looped her arms around his neck, hugging him as she snuggled down into his lap. The song more than made up for the disastrous dinner. It was the sweetest thing any boy had ever done for her, and she adored him for it.
"Why don't we watch that movie now...? You mentioned having a few." She smiled against his throat, kissing it lightly.
Luka's eyes widened with amazement as the train began to move - It was just like a real train! Only, smaller! His mouth turned into an o of surprise, and he dropped down to the floor to get a better look at it. Very rarely did Luka land, or walk anywhere. Mostly because he hadn't quite mastered the one foot after another trick. But this train? It was cool enough to stop fluttering for.
"Oooh~ Lu!' He beamed at Cain. Cain was so lucky to have one of these cool mini-trains!
