Ume had dressed up again for the season, her warmest and most victorian themed holiday clothes, a red wool 'cape' and hood, a long dress that trailed in the thick white snow that turned the world into a Currier and Ives painting, tall button up boots with knit lining and thick socks to boot, A faux fur muff, and her hair pinned up with silk ivy and holy. Far less prickly than the 'real' thing which she would never have risked hot-gluing to hair clips as she had the plastic and silk.

On her wrist she had restocked her basket, with the cheapest songbooks she could find so that there would be many to go around for those whom were interested. She headed strait for the park as she had last year, this year would be better she told herself. For better or worse, things felt as though they had changed in Destiny City...right now, at least for the prospect of carols, things felt decidedly better.

She'd even found lyrics for some of the sillier christmas songs because they'd been requested last time she tried. As long as everyone enjoyed them, she wasn't going to argue.

She might get some strange looks when she put her basket down on the steps of the Gazebo and took a deep breath.
Her voice was untrained, but not unpleasant, welcoming as it steamed the cold air with small clouds of vapor as she began to sing, inviting others to join her.

"Hark how the bells,
sweet silver bells,
all seem to say,
throw cares away "

The sound of music filled the air as Akio strolled his way past the park, the night beckoning him to return home and out of the cold. The young man paused as he heard the young woman sing, his dark head turning to find the musical culprit.

Without so much as a pardon me, he belted out at the top of his lungs:

Christmas is here,
bringing good cheer!

His arm extended out, now that almond colored eyes had discovered the young woman carrying the basket of songbooks. His scarf remained tightly wrapped around his neck (God forbid he catch a cold and ruin his beautiful voice) and yet he refused to stop singing.

To young and old,
meek and the boooooooooooold!

Stepping forward, he joined alongside the young stranger, happily crooning to the carol. Christmas carols were international - not to mention what better way was there this time of the year to meet new young women people?

Ariel was taking few steps in the park, the weather was a little cold but nice. It has a christmas feeling all around the town. Wearing her black pullover, a jean and white boots she just looked at the christmas light on the trees.
She heard a voice singing a song, a christmas song. She hadn't the best voice, but it was quite alright so she decide to go along and sing too.

"Oh how they pound,
raising the sound,
o'er hill and dale,
telling their tale,"

It was the Christmas season, and Jada had been out doing some Christmas shopping. Shops had their wares displayed prominently everywhere, and with the Snow and the beginnings of Christmas spirit, Jada's credit card was getting a workout. Well, that was all as it should be. She was heading toward a small cafe on the other side of the park when the first notes of song reached her ears. Oh! Christmas Caroling, one of Jada's favorite things about the holiday season. People getting together and making lots of noise, promoting togetherness and... showing off. The snow was glittering everywhere, dripping from tree limbs like cold blankets, hanging on the tops of cars, and heaped into snow men and forts all around the small area. Jada Chamberlyn made a beeline for the noise, idly wishing there was a way she could have brought her harp. She didn't play as much anymore, but she knew how! And it could have made an excellent experience.

Her boot heels clicked on the gazebo as she climbed up with the other carolers, her soprano joining in;

Gaily they ring
while people sing
songs of good cheer,
Christmas is here,

Bags were dropped on the wood near the railing, so that she would be able to keep an eye on them, but keep her hands free. All of the important stuff was already locked in her car, anyways, but getting robbed was never fun. And not part of the holiday experience at all.

Lily walked along greatly enjoying the winter wonderland that was now Destiny City. It was cold, very cold, but not overly and Lily was headed for a little Christmas shopping for the last time she had been to the mall, she had not accomplished the goal.

She walked along her calf high boots helping to keep jegging clad legs warm. Her have plain black turtleneck barely visible under her open sweater and scarf wrapped neck, red curls peaking out from beneath an ivory dog eared winter hat.

She was taking a detour in an attempt to keep warm, but was draw off her path by singing. Not the most amazing single, but beautiful in it spirit and cheery for the holidays. She could see other's join in as she made her way over, which made her move faster eager to join them.

Lily walked up into the gazebo and joined in; her lovely voice, fore she is a singer, melding in perfectly with the others:

"Merry, merry, merry, merry Christmas,
Merry, merry, merry, merry Christmas,
On on they send ,
on without end,
their joyful tone to every home
Dong Ding dong ding, dong Bong."

The song ended and Lily was slightly saddened she looked to the cloak clad girl and ask if she could pick another, waiting a second for an answer before plunking one at random.

She grinned holding it up, "Looks like it Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer."

Erik "Oddy" Corlione had been drawn in by the sound, breaking away from the difficult task of Christmas shopping for people for whom he really wanted to get special things for ((his family and team mates)), and couldn't help but grin at the caroling.

Adjusting his bright red and green scarf, which jingled from the bells on the end, just went to join in, grabbing a song book and starting in as he overheard the next song.

"Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer
had a very shiny nose.
And if you ever saw him,
you would even say it glows."

He didn't have the most epic or well trained voice, but at least it wasn't as loud and obnoxious as his Christmas sweatshirt, featuring a slightly drunken looking reindeer.

"All of the other reindeer
used to laugh and call him names.
They never let poor Rudolph
join in any reindeer games."

Ume's smile had widened and the joy of it made her singing all the sweeter, her deep red eyes shone with the joy of it, she did love caroling, even when everything else seemed to be going wrong it was like a soothing touch, like listening to the heartbeat of a loved one on a cold night.

Xavier truly loved winter, and the christmas season in general. Winter was his favorite season the year, and the early snowfall still had him rather giddy. Like he was 5 again, in fact.

Still, he ran late for the caroling, he knew. It had taken him forever to find his coat, the red one with bells on it, and his hat. He excused himself to Ume as quietly as he could as he snatched up a booklet from her basket. At least this wasn't a hard song to join in !

"Then one foggy Christmas Eve,
Santa came to say,
Rudolph with your nose so bright,
Won't you guide my sleigh tonight?"

It had been a long, cold and awful first day of December. While it technically wouldn't be considered winter until the 21st of the month, it certainly felt like winter's first breath as snow floated from the gray clouds above. Alba Gale Delores was normally a very excited person when it came to the puffy white clumps of winter magic, but today her enthusiasm was squelched by an obligation. Since Thunder Thigh's unfortunate and untimely loss at the Lucha a few weeks prior, the Costa Rican had kept true to her word and became the unbearable: a considerable friend to her roommate, Elegancia.

This proved to be difficult, as Elegancia's definition of friendship (or at the very least, towards Alba), meant that she had to follow her around and assisted her in an assortment of chores that the heiress wouldn't lift a finger to. A good friend must take out the trash so that the apartment smells delightful at all times! A great friend must vacuum the carpet every other day so that the other friend doesn't have to worry about scumming up her expensive shoe-wear. An even better friend carries said friends' shopping bags when out on the town on a weekend.

So there she was, shoulders sore from the assortment of bags and boxes that were carried for Elegancia since the early afternoon. One would think it was holiday shopping, and in a way it certainly was: holiday shopping for herself, a pick me up to all the dreary weather to come. The pair were walking back towards their dorm suite when the sweet sound of people singing filled Alba's ears. She stopped immediately, causing the auburn-haired girl to pause mid-stride just a few feet up ahead and turn, face full of impatience.

"Caroling!" Alba exclaimed happily. She would not let her roommate take this winter joy away. With a stubborn determination, she marched towards the carolers, carrying along every purchased item with her. There was no need for a booklet for this song, and she belted out the melody as she got closer with each snow-printed step.

"Then all the reindeer love him! As they shouted out with glee! Rudolf, the red-nosed reindeer, you'll go down in hiiisttooorrrryyyyy!"

"Remember," Elegancia began, "if you hold my bags properly, I shall purchase you a pair of fuzzy socks to keep your big feet warm! So no snow or dents in my bags, please." She began to drone on about all the great deals she had been able to find at the mall, waltzing forward as she did so, but the sound of frumpy footsteps did not follow behind. "Alba?" she inquired, turning to see where her new friend had wandered off to. It wasn't that she had escaped, as she first suspected, but stopped in her tracks. "Don't dillydally, it is freezing!! If you're not interested in doing things as I ask, I can certainly find a luckier girl to--"

Apparently, Alba didn't care what she had to say, as she cut her off with the word caroling!! How sickeningly sweet and sappy. Elegancia didn't like those kinds of things, naturally. "Ohoho, you are quite the jester, Miss Alba. Now let's go, I'm serious-- it's cold." Before long, though, and she did not know how, the two were standing before a group of humdrum Christmas carolers. "We won't be long," she stated blandly, attempting to pull Alba away-- but she was sung over by her belting of the finale of Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer.

It was then that everyone turned to Elegancia, eyes expectant. Did they really want her to sing? Well, she was flattered, honestly, but... Well, she had told that her voice wasn't exactly as sweet as honey. The total opposite, in fact. It was as sour as a warhead-- she didn't sing often because of this. What carols did she know?

i ReAALLLLy CaN'TT STAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY~~~

This was a duet. Someone would have to sing along with her, whether they wanted to or not.

The voice that followed soon after hers was akin to the sound a violin made when played by inexperienced (and potentially swollen) fingers. Alba had known that Ele didn't have the best of tonal hearing, to put it lightly, though it would seem that the rest of the music the fine lady sang along to muffled most of her imperfections and trills on those lazy afternoons in her room. Still, Alba was happy to see her roommate even try to participate, and ultimately preferred it to being dragged away for more retail therapy.

No matter how tempting the fuzzy socks might have been.

"Oh baby, it's cold outsiiiide!" She backed up, her own voice similar to the warm and honeyed texture of a cello. While she wasn't good enough to pursue any singing career or seriously consider it as a Thursday Night Kareoke hobby, Alba wasn't half bad. Or maybe Ele was showing her off that well as her duet partner.

"Then all the reindeer loved him
as they shouted out with glee,
Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer,
you'll go down in history! "

Ume finished the last song they were singing just as the new 'duet' broke in.
...

So caroiling groups weren't very suited to true duets but they could always divide into two 'sections. She edged to one side and joined in.

"So nice and warm..."

Moving in towards the growing crowd, the young man cheerfully smiled as he reached out one hand and linked arms with the beautiful dark haired singer he had originally spotted caroling all by her lonesome. Her pale complexion made her look akin to that of a china doll, waves of black hair tucked in by her red hood. His boots fell alongside hers, planting themselves in the snow beside smaller, petite feet and his free hand plucked the basket from her, allowing his own fluffy coat to press against hers.

Feeling the need to impress his new stranger-friend, he puffed out his chest and continued to belt the duet, picking up the half she was singing to.

It was a shame, really, that he failed to know all of the lyrics.

Xavier wasn't too familiar with this one, and he glanced at the lyrics with a vague look of confusion. Oh well, time to just continue along and pretend he knew how the song went. s**t happened.

Ahaha. Jada kept an eye on her bags as more people came to join the caroling party, not wanting them to get mixed up; she kicked them to the side to make room for someone else to enter the gazebo and take their place.

Baby its cold Outside just so happened to be one of her absolute favorite Christmas Carols, and one that she slid into wholeheartedly, grinning as two of the other singers moved in close together. "So very nice -" she had a decent voice, a clear soprano, but a little heavy on the natural vibrato. The boy who was macking on Red Riding Hood messed up the lyrics, and if it hadn't been for another person stepping in to correct the mistake, she'd have instinctively followed him. Urgh. That really would have been incredibly embarassing, and she would have had to make a sudden escape. Everyone would have noticed, she knew it.
