User Image Gutu was feeling rather antsy at the moment. She had left her three little cubs behind in the den as she went hunting but had not found a speck of meat running by that was suitable for her and the cubs. She was beginning to think she might have to go for some unsavory meals for her children, warthog, rabbit, those sort of meats. Ones where she would probably go hungry for the next day or so, but at least the babies would have food in their bellies.

Testing the air, she breathed in deeply, scenting an unfamiliar and fresh smell in the air. It was that of a lion, for sure, and the smell of little ones, as well as something else. She was unsure what that 'something else' was, but she was itching to find them. Perhaps they had food she could bully from them. She felt horrible thinking that way since she smelled little ones along with the adult, but her children needed to live also. It was a hard world to live in when it came to the Rogue Lands and it meant doing whatever you needed to do to survive.

She took off, following the scent carefully, but quietly. She didn't want to startle the lion and the young. She needed to be undetected as she went on her search for them. Unseen by all about.

Ni'andama lay in front of the den, listening as the cubs played inside. They were such good little boys, all of them. The litter and their friend. An ear flicked, as she listened to the animals around her. The dust-brown lioness got up, stretching a bit, before going to nibble a bit on the kill near by. There was still just plenty left, but it was still much for her. The cubs, while appearing old enough to eat it, were not enough to fully finish it off.

As her gaze panned across the savanna, she wondered where the dark lioness who'd left the cubs with her went. For that matter, where was the mother of the two black boys and one white boy? She had to be SOMEWHERE. It left her to wonder, just what did their father look like? They were questions she was left to ponder, as she settled to watch at least three of the cubs play at the den entrance.

It didn't take long for Gutu to follow Ni'andama's scent to the den. She stood a couple hundreds yards away, assessing the situation presented before her. The lioness had a kill, one that still had a reasonable amount of meat on it. She could feed the four she had, and even eat some for herself. Perhaps it wasn't enough to bloat the lioness like she was used to, but it would quell her stomach's growling until she could find something specifically for herself.

Gutu decided to try and approach the situation in a friendly manner for the moment. If the lioness was willing to give up her kill, she wouldn't have to forcibly take it from her and could spare her and the cubs unneeded confrontation, stress and trauma. She took slower steps than she usually did, in the off chance that the lioness would freak out and attempt to attack her. It was always best to be careful about how you approached a mother.

"Hello!" Gutu called.
