Hello everyone,
I want to keep the rules for this guild short and simple. Here they are:
1. All activity within this guild shall conform to Gaia's Terms of Service. Any violations will result in the member's banishment from the guild and will be reported to Gaia moderators. I reserve the right to act unilaterally in such cases -- may it never become necessary.
2. All threads should be philosophy-related, with the exception of the Sticky "Off-Topic Discussion."
3. No flaming or ad hominem attacks. I encourage disagreement and debate, but keep it civil. Attack the argument, not the arguer.
4. No bumping. Period.
5. No idiotic behavior -- this is very subjective, so if someone is reported by a crew member for idiotic behavior, there must be unanimous agreement among the crew and myself for said idiot to be banned.
6. Likewise, crew memberships may be revoked for any reason if there is unanimous agreement among the other crew members and myself. Unless there is an egregious violation of guild rules, a crew member who has had their crew status revoked will revert to a standard guild member.
7. "Three strikes and you're out." If a guild member commits a minor infraction of guild rules, he or she will be warned. If it happens again, said member will be put on one-month probation. Any violation of guild rules within that month will result in immediate and permanent banishment from the guild. If said member does not violate guild rules within the probationary period, probation will be lifted. I reserve the right to determine what constitutes a "minor" infraction.
8. If you believe I have acted unfairly, you may appeal my decision. Unanimous agreement by all crew members shall constitute a veto on any decision I make concerning an individual guild member.
9. I am willing to consider amendments, revisions or additions to the Philosophy Guild's Rules and Regulations. Feel free to PM me with suggestions.
