Myrddin was bundled up as best as he could, even put on a special jacket that kept his wings warm without bending them in some obscene way. His daughter was also bundled up though it wasn't possible to cover her wings in warmth as it was his, Serendipity's wings were much more fragile and harder to deal with but the small girl seemed content with it and thus had no real complaint. Bouncing in her guardian's arms the two appeared at 'WHACKY LARRY'S SLEDDING EMPORIUM' which was located somewhere within the more hilly areas of Gaia somewhere nearby Barton Town. The blonde paid for sled rental for himself and his daughter and then they started to trek their way up a gentle slope where there were young children and their own parents milling about.
Serendipity was thrilled! So many new friends she could make and she also wanted to investigate this white fluffy stuff that was on the ground and falling from the sky. This was her first season looking at such a thing and it filled her with a bit of wonderment and curiosity.
"Papa~! Can I sled by self?" She asked as her small mitten covered hands gripped at his shoulder.
Myrddin laughed a little, "We'll see Pinky, we'll see," he promised her with a grin as he set down the sled first and started to set his daughter down on it at least. Serendipity settled on her new perch and stared up at him curiously. "Just sit still!" he instructed and started to pull the sled with her on it. Serendipity let out a delighted squeal.

Sledding? Why? How had his daughter even heard of sledding, Vate wondered. He would have to question his oldest son later. Having carefully bundled both he and Leyla up; though Leyla seemed to have more trouble moving than he did, and he hadn't been able to find anything to protect her fragile butterfly-like wings. That and he really had been too paranoid to try finding something; he worried that they would rip, that they would bleed.
Wings seemed like far too much trouble. He was grateful he didn't have them.
But sledding, really? Sledding was dangerous! Snow was cold, and white, and wet--the dark elf did not approve of this outing in the least. Well, he wouldn't have, if Leyla hadn't seemed so excited. And as always, his daughter's happiness was the most important thing.
"Snow!" Leyla said, pointing. She had never seen it before. Was it cold? What did it feel like? Her bubbly lavendar jacket made it difficult for her to move; especially since she was only just learning to walk. She bent over and patted the snow with one silver-mittened hand. "Oooh! It is cold!"
Just like Howl had told her.
"Stay here, Leyla," Vate instructed his daughter as he went to rent a sled. He came back with a long, blue plastic one. Built to easily hold two people. "Here," he said. "We'll be able to sled together, so I can make sure you're safe."

They were making their trek forward but Serendipity had quickly forgotten the command to sit still by her guardian as she began to bounce and wiggle rather excitedly upon the slid until eventually she rolled backwards off of her sled with a dismayed squeak as she rolled backward for a bit until she stopped with a soft sound of complaint passing her lips.
Myrddin of course was quick to notice when the sled was suddenly lighter and the ruckus his child had caused as she rolled away. The blonde dropped the rope of the rental sled and ran toward her with a bit of concern evident on his usually cheerful face. "Pinky, you okay?"
Serendipity was soon helped up as she wobbled on her feet with the help of her guardian and her eyes soon gazed around until she saw a small girl with pretty wings not too far away in her excitement she called out, "Looks! Pretties wings!"

Leyla looked up; of course she did. She naturally assumed Serendipity was talking about her. "Oooh," she said, in turn, admiring the other girl's wings. "You've got pretty wings too!" she called back with a smile. "Want to sled with me?"
Vate groaned almost inaudibly. What were the odds? The other child was clearly fae--well, he assumed so by her bright hair color and wings, anyway. What were the odds of them going to sled and meeting another fairy? Honestly? He turned his attention to Myrdinn. "Hello," he called, waving to the man. Might as well attempt to be friendly, right? He carefully pulled Leyla towards the man and his daughter; he knew the infant would tantrum if he didn't give her the chance to make some friends.
And Leyla was definitely in command.
"Hello," Leyla said, looking up at Serendipity. "I can't walk yet," she explained. "I can crawl, but Daddy says the snow's too cold to crawl, and--"
"This is Leyla," Vate interupted. "I'm Vate Zulpen. Nice to meet both of you."
