The Dance Floor
Most students attend the Yule Ball to dance after all! Get an RP going here or visit Towns.
Music

If all goes well, this should be an empty area of Town that we can use for more instant socialization. To get to the Dance Floor, go to World > Towns or open this link in another window. Then select the Directory button on the bottom panel within the Towns window. In the text box marked "Go To Zip Code" type "001096". You will be taken to the center of that "square". It should be an ice rink for winter. You may stay there or continue up (North one) and left (West one) to the most north west corner of the 3x3 index in the Directory.

Sanguine Malfoy Stepped out onto the dance floor, and looked around. There was hardly anyone there, and only a few of them were dancing.
He walked over to a table and took a seat, waiting for someone he knew to arrive.

Willow walked out onto the dance floor and looked around. The only person there was Sanguine, looking healthy despite his ordeal in the Common Room. She walked over and sat down next to him.

Athene slowly walked into the Yule Ball. "I'm always early for these things. Oh well. I guess I'll go sit and wait for more people to arrive." Athene looked around, seeing Sanguine she made her way towards his table. "Do you mind if I sit here with you? It doesn't seem like that many people have gotten here yet."

Sanguine smiled at the two girls who had just joined him at the table.
"Good evening ladies. Which one of you beautiful women would like to dance with me?" He asked, then grinned. "I'm joking." Then, he turned to Willow.
"Hey. I'm Sanguine. I don't think you and I have had a proper conversation yet. And also, why aren't you in a dress?"

Sanguine looked across the room, and waved back at Angela, a girl he had met in the Owlery a few days back. Then, he turned back to Willow.
"Yeah, I know. Well, OK... But you're not exactly gonna be running around here, are you?" He commented on the girls reply.
Looking around, he could see more and more people arriving from their common rooms. It was beginning to get a bit busy now. He just hoped that the girl he was looking for didn't have a partner either...

Athene smiled, "Thanks." and sat down at the table. "I wonder if anymore Gryffindors will be coming? I don't know too many people from the other houses." Athene nervously shifted her dress's skirt around. It was definitely getting busier, but there were still not very many faces Athene recognized. It seems like several people were running late to this particular event.

Angela Westing 4th Year Slytherin Angela got up and stepped onto the dance floor, looking around everywhere. She decided to go over by Sanguine so she wasn't alone. "Hello Sanguine," she said, smiling. She looked over at the other girls, "hi. Would you have happened to see... Nevermind, I can't say anything, it's a surprise," she said giggling and sitting at a table next to them. "Would I either of you happen to be this dashing young man's date?" she said laughing and waving her hand, "I'm only kidding, no offenses."

Marie nervously walked into the great hall.She was wearing a black dress and black heels.She had on diamond studs, necklace,and bracelet,and a ring with a strange rock in it.Her hair was up and a ornate headband.A simple black wrap was hung around her elbows.She was without glasses for the first time since she got there. She hugged herself,visibly nervous.

4th Year Slytherin Daniella walked to the dance floor, a little nervous. She saw a group of people. She walked over to them and smiled. She tried not to rip her dress, he Aunt would kill her. "Hey Angela, Sanguine, everyone!" She rocked on her heels, and noticed that she was freezing. "Too bad we can't dance, the dance floor is crowded with invisible people." She said jokingly.

Angela Westing 4th Year Slytherin Angela turned to Daniella and laughed, "I know, right?" Pretends to turn to an invisible person, "would you like to dance with me, sir?" She moves over, "of course I would miss," pretending to hold out her hand. "I'm only going to dance if they play Do The Hippogriff by the Weird Sisters, that is my absolute favorite song," she said staring at the DJ. "I am so excited though, you know, this is a wonderful break from school, I have my old friends, and some new friends and everyone is unified, no stereotypes. Finally Slytherin gets out of their stereotype of being mean to everyone else, we're just misunderstood," she rambled, then caught herself.

She didn't like it - being dressed up - but her mother had sworn if she didn't get some proof that Aelon had looked like all the other girls and dressed up and gone to Yule Ball that there would be no more 'care packages' for the rest of the year. Aelon couldn't get in contact with her father to plead because mother had intercepted everything. So now she was here. Looking like a doll. On the other hand, Aelon really did like dressing up but only when she went on expensive vacations or special outings. Dressed up all nice for a school function was ridiculous to her. It was on that train of thought that Aelon really focused on the group of students clustered together. Angela and Daniella she knew but the others she had only seen around the castle a few times. Oh well, she thought, I suppose I'll have a seat near them...but not too near.

Athene was happy to see all the people now coming in. "I wish that more people would get up and dance. It reminds me so much of those American High school movies when the boys and girls are lined up on the walls. Maybe we all should set an example. Who needs a partner to dance? A group of friends does just as well." Athene looked around and began to get up. Even if no one else was going to dance she certainly would. She didn't get all dressed up for nothing. "I'll see you all on the dance floor." Athene smiled and walked out during a fast song and began to dance not caring how ridiculous she might look.
