What a lively school! Full of... the demon paused in the middle of the hallway he was at, trying to find the right word to describe what he was trying to think. Gaudy? no.. Tacky? Hmm... Simplistic?... No, no. Not right. Horrendous, atrocious, disgusting!! Sacrilege! Yes... yes that was it. What in Jack's name were these people wearing?! So far, very few of the students here had worn something that seemed slightly less tragic than what he was witnessing now; one of which he had gained a map from. It seemed normal to be stared at; after all, who looked as awesome and well dressed as he, after all? Though, he did wonder if he had over-done it on the green motif. A bit of fun making at himself and his kind, is all. Most people didn't even seem to get the reference anyway, so it was funny all the same.
Shifting his weight a bit, always semi-posing (not that he was completely aware of it) for a picture of some sort, he pulled the map out of his back pocket and studied it a bit. Instead of going straight to the Dorms, as he probably should have, he decided the best way to adjust to this school would be to look around. He had done so at every other school he had been forced to attend, why not this one? Though now he wished he had brought the notebook he used to write down notes with. So many helpless souls needed his guidance! Or a good hairstylist. Or just.. needed a deep hole to hide themselves in.
One of them. Shaking his head sadly in dismay, he tapped his bottom lip a bit as he found out where he was, not really caring for the attention he was definitely getting. After all, staring at handsome things was a given!

Amrita was innocently going about her day. Class, studying (well, when the pumpkin wasn't screaming), eating if she remembered to, mediating 'arguments' between her pets and her school supplies. Nothing too out of the ordinary, and that was fine with her. Routine was best, Routine was safe. Routine made her day so much easier to deal with.
It had been a call to her skellyphone that made her break her routine a little bit and head out to the Monster dorms. Mei-Xiu's turn to watch the pumpkinling! With Pumpkin dropped off and a failed attempt to see if Tahki was available, the Vetala had no choice but to shuffle back to her dorm. Well, that had been the plan, anyway.
Somewhere along the line she'd gotten herself lost; it was a momentary lapse in memory that had her completely lose track of where she was. It was distressing, it upset her, but it happened. Frowning unhappily, the child like girl moved to sit on what remained of a cobblestone wall, lightly kicking her toes against the stone while her reversed hands played with the dirty, somewhat ripped Sari.
For all his bright green, he seemed to go unnoticed by the generally unobservant girl.

Rubbing his chin as he twisted the map this way and that, Livi wasn't liking this bit of paper much. Honestly, who had written this map? Shouldn't there be the names of the areas in here somewhere? The icons he was getting, but the rest? Pffffft! A sigh was heaved as he looked up and around to see if maybe he could find someone... with.. brains.. (not the drooling massive staring at him) to tell him where places were.
If asked, he couldn't say what made him notice the odd little girl shuffling merrily on her way. Maybe it was the fact she was shuffling. Or the fact her feet and hands seemed... backwards? That was a new one for him to see. Or maybe... it was... that... His eyes narrowed a bit in distaste at the thing she was wearing. What was that? It was obvious that it was meant to be something of importance, but it was filthy, ratty... and completely the wrong shade of color for her! His right eye twitched a bit before he decided, for her own good and to cure his own growing sense of boredom, that she'd have to be the first. Unlike the other Hopeless Causes he had seen so far, this one held some potential to become something better.
So. The first step to anything. "Pardon me!" Folding the map a bit, he lightly jogged about three steps to reach the small shuffling thing. "Excuse me, could you help me?" The more he saw on her, the more he was becoming determined that she needed help. And not just any help. HIS help. "You're a student here, right?"

Luckily for the demon, Amrita wasn't going anywhere. Nope, she was still firmly sitting down on the cobblestone wall. But the cry out to her did get noticed where his eye-gauging green did not, and for a moment the little Vetala's head shot up, eye wide, to stare at the originator.
But when she noticed it was a demon, her gaze just couldn't shoot back down to her lap fast enough! No Demon should want to talk to her; she was just a lowly, degraded not-really-Zombie. When he moved up to her though, it became clear that he was actually talking to her...or...or was he?
"Umm..." Amrita breathed out awkwardly, glancing around her and then glancing at the Demon. "M-me?" She asked hesitantly, lifting a reversed hand to point at herself. While she didn't see anyone else here, she couldn't really be sure. "Umm...I...I'm a s-student..." The poor thing went on to murmur in a tiny voice, shifting lightly in a mild discomfort that would probably continue until she was sure he was addressing her.

Livi's head tilted a bit at the reaction he got. Aww, was she shy? He'd consider that cute... if he didn't have too many thoughts in his head. She seemed shocked that he would speak to her, which did strike him as odd, especially since there were other demons at this school. Once he got the answer he wanted, he nodded and grinned a bit to himself but it showed regardless. "Perfect. I'm a tad bit lost around here. I was hoping you could help me." Wasn't like she seemed to be doing much past sitting there and kicking her feet.
Straightening his sleeve a bit out of habit, he studied this girl more closely. What kind of being was she? Normally, he wouldn't have overly cared about such a thing such a monster type, since most types were a bit clear cut, but he wasn't sure on this one. She seemed like a zombie... but he had never heard of a zombie that looked like that and spoke some what intelligently. "Do you have some time? Could you show me around?" And that'll give me time to figure out how to get you into something other than that... that... thing!
Most thought his way of asking for things politely made him less a demon and pissed his parents off to no end. But he had learned that not being a p***k first off tended to yield better results. And how else did one earn a proper fan club by always being cold and aloof? Booooooring!

...Of Course.
Naturally!
A Demon asks her for help - her - and she's in one of those wiped memory frames of mind. Of course. His question, however innocent and politely posed, brough a look of dismay to what remained of the girl's face. Eye wide, lips set in a worriedly drawn thin line, hands continuing to fidget with a frayed end of her Sari...the whole nervous shebang.
"I...I would like to, but, uhm..." Soon though, her hands stopped playing with the Sari and instead lifted to grasp a section of hair, twisting it nervously. "But I...I'm kind of no, uhm, h-help. At..at least r-right now..." How dreadful was it to admit this! "I can try, but...umm..." She was so very happy that a Demon was talking to her, but...he had to ask her something she couldn't really do well right now!
"I'm sure I'd just...get you more lost." A sort of disappointed gloooom washed over her.

While he waited for an answer, he looked her over completely, his eyes taking in every part of her attire and her features. There were a few things that proved she had some taste in color. Though it wasn't like he'd know if she picked that herself or someone else did. Her color scheme was interesting to be sure. Gah, he didn't even have any fabrics! Not that he could sew, that's what seamstress people were for, but he used it to decide color and palette schemes for his Projects. This one would be a challenge but... he should have some money right now. Enough to at least get started...
But by then, the girl was speaking so he paid attention, wondering why she looked so dejected and down cast. Really, he hadn't asked that hard a question. Least, he didn't think so. So the way she was fidgeting was making a brow shift up higher and higher. She'd get him more lost than he already was? Well, that wouldn't completely work, now would.... his eyes gleamed as an idea came to mind.
"Now, now. It can't be all that bad. I already have a map here, but I can't make heads or tails of the thing. Let's go ahead and try to get around together, hmm? We may get more lost but... think of it as an adventure! And those are always fun to partake of every now and then." A soft nod was given to that, because it was a brilliant idea! And how could anyone truly refuse him? Straightening a bit, he extended a hand to her. "Shall we, Miss?"

"...Oh." Amrita murmured, glancing at him for a second, tops. Map. Maps were good. Maps helped. Maybe she should look into keeping a map on her! That would probably solve all of her problems! This demon...he was so smart! "Okay!" Beaming up at him through a veil of hair, she nodded a little bit and went to slide off of the wall.
"...Oh!" Just now she noticed he had a hand out to her, and she looked sheepish that she didn't use it. Oops! "Sorry." Though it did hit her what happened the last time she went on an 'adventure'. Her brains hurt. A lot. Which of course, begged the tiny-voiced question. "Do you break brains?" Lucien did. A lot. But he also pat her head, which helped. But there was no point in a head pat if it wasn't to fix hurt brains, hence the question.
"Amrita." She piped up softly, in a helpful tone. The little Vetala could only assume calling her 'Miss' was a roundabout way of asking for her name. Naturally she was happy to oblige.

Her agreement pleased him and to show that he really did have one, he showed it to her. He left out how he got the thing, since typically, one had to pay for a map. Typically. If they were someone other than Livi. The fact she had hopped down without noticing the hand made him wonder about her a bit, but he didn't take offense. Apparently, those of other classes didn't do such things? Nice thing to learn. He'd definitely have to remember that.
"It's all right. No offense taken." It was hard to make him feel offended anyway. That'd mean he'd have to care to a certain degree. And he just met her. For now, these things were in the 'cute' factor. "Break... brains? Pardon?" That was definitely an odd thing to be asked out of the blue. Did he break people's brains? Tilting his head a bit, he rested a hand on his chin and tapped his cheek as he pondered this notion. Did he really? Well... let's be honest here. Yeah, he probably did. But was that truly something to tell this girl? She looked nervous as it was and he didn't want her that way. So he did what demons did best. Bend the truth a bit. "I don't really think so, but I wouldn't know if I do or not. Why? Is it a deal breaker if I did?"
"Amrita... that's a nice name." Different, but nice all the same. Taking up a tiny, backwards hand, he brushed the air above it lightly after he swept into an effortless bow. "Pleasure to meet you, Amrita. I am Livi. Pleasure to meet you." Smart of her to pick up on the fact he had been asking her name without being overly obvious about it. That earned points.

No offense taken? Great! That was enough to get another brief smile cast up to him, before she once more decided that her heels were really cool and looked at them instead. Of course he'd be confused by her question, but she really couldn't think of another way to put it.
"Yes...Brain Breaking. Umm...Hurting?" She wrinkled up her nose a little bit, trying very hard to explain it. "Lucien does it...asks weird questions, hurts brain?" It sounded more like she was talking to herself, but she really was trying to explain it better. Lucien did and said strange things; she couldn't understand him, but she liked him well enough certainly. She seemed startled by his question, waving her hands a little bit. "No! N-No, just, uhm, asking!" The words just rushed out as she metaphorically lept to defend herself a little bit.
"Ah...T-thank you." Wow, he thought her name was nice? That was...that was awesome! This demon was awesome! "Nice to meet you." She said curtly, finding a light blush coming to what was left of her cheek. The awesome Demon was touching her...and being nice to her. Today was shaping up to be an awesome day!
"Umm...Where...were you trying to go?" Because he had said something about being lost, right?

Least the girl was easy to appease. Another mental note taken as he took in her reactions to him in general. Was she like this with everyone or was he just special that way? Best to just leave it as he was just that special. "Hmm... well, I may ask some questions, but I'll try not to break your brain, all right? Never a good idea to hurt the brain of the person helping you out." Chuckling softly, he rubbed her head gently. For some reason, it seemed like the right thing to do. That and she was really reminding him of this hell-hound puppy he had found not that long ago. Too bad he didn't know if he was allowed to bring it to school... hmm.
Anyway, focusing now. "Lucien? Is he a friend of yours?" Best to figure it was a he, since not many females were named Lucien. His smile grew at her discomfort and though a part of him felt bad for making her seem so... defensive, it was still amusing.
Where had he been trying to go...? Good question. To be honest, he had no clear cut destination in mind. "Hmm... somewhere to eat, I suppose. I just got here, and I wasn't allowed to make pit spots so I haven't eaten in awhile. And then any places of interest?" He figured she'd know at least a place or two that'd be somewhat interesting... hopefully.

"Okay!" Amrita definitely seemed appeased. At least he said he would try to not hurt her brain! That was most definitely a start! Beaming happily at the ground, she startled a little bit at the sudden head rub...but, of course, it didn't surprise her for too much longer. In fact, is Livi listened close enough, he might have been able to hear the very, very quiet noise of glee. Head pets! She so loved the head pets.
"Yes. I think..." Was Lucien her friend? She was pretty sure! She saw him as a friend, anyway! A friend who hurt her head a lot. But she also had a friend who didn't hurt her head, which was nice. Maybe Livi could be the inbetween friend? Maybe. She didn't say anything about that though, just musing to herself in her own head. Hmm...Something to eat, something to eat...
"Cafeteria?" She piped up helpfully, certainly not a creative person, and she definitely didn't want to trek to the mall. So, Cafeteria it was! At least suggested.

Was it bad to be amused by how happy it made her to agree to things? Nah, not really. He didn't hear any sounds from her, but he did see the change of expression on her face when he rubbed her head. Did she like head rubs? Apparently so! Maybe he could use it as a reward system of sorts. Until he found something else she'd like or something. Ah, plotting was ever so much fun!
Livi nodded a bit when she said this male was her friend. Ah, friends. An odd concept to an envy demon, to be sure, but one that always kinda floated around. What were they like, these friends? But it wasn't something asked of out loud. Just pondered really. "Hmm that sounds like a fair place to start. Do they serve good food here?" He really did hope so. "So lead on! Or.. we can use the map and figure it out. Either which way, let's have some fun, hmm?"
Though he was already having lots of fun... in his own fashion.

"Ummm..." Was the only answer she could bring to the whole 'Do they serve good food' question. She thought it was good, but then again her sense of taste was often quite dead. So...let's not answer that one! When he told her to lead the way, she stared at him for a moment, then held her reversed hands out for the map. Once it was relinquished, she opened it and looked at it, purely for her own memory.
"O-okay...uhm, lets see..." She murmured to herself, practically burying herself in the map whilst trying to collect her brains and jumpstart her memory. "I...I think it's this way." Hopefully she was right, as she lead the overly green Demon towards the Academy's Cafeteria.
"You must like green." She commented idly, since it was in her mind anyway. His hair and eyes were green and to top it off, his outfit was mostly green, too! That meant he had to like that colour, right?!

When he didn't truly receive an answer about the food, he began to wonder if he'd have to go out to find something good to eat. But he didn't seem overly bothered but it. She was doing her best and it wasn't his job to make her feel bad about anything. Other than make her want to change that atrocious way of dress!
Handing her the map with no issue, he watched as she looked it over and waited for a general direction by which to go. It seemed fairly obvious that she was almost as green (ha! no pun intended) as himself in these matters, but they'd make due somehow. Whether they were going in the right or wrong direction didn't overly bother the demon. After all, he was looking for a way to pass the time before he simply had to go see how much redecorating he'd need to do to his new room.
"Hmm? Oh this?" He gave his outfit a look over and shrugged a bit. "I like the style of clothing, in truth. The green is more of an.. inside joke, I suppose. Poking a bit of fun at myself, as it were." He didn't overly care for green one way or another. Since it was part of his main hair color, he was stuck with it. Since dying it was out of the question. "Do you like... uh.. yellow? It is yellow, right?" Or was it a dirty orange? Honestly, he couldn't tell and it was driving him mentally batty.
