Maia simply could not believe she was out in the snow the night after having been in such an epic snowball fight, but she had so much fun and it had not actually been a real battles.

What is was, it was a courage builder. After what happened, Maia was scarred and lacking confidence and courage, but now she had a glimmer of hope. Hope that she could be better and even more so she was going to attend a training session. The date of which had not been determined yet, but Maia was exceedingly exciting.

Maia walked slowly through the snow feet crunching the snow beneath her and leaving behind her small footprints. She noticed, but it was unpreventable with all the snow about and unwise to walk in the street. A 'terrorist' spotting was not at all what she need right now.

No right now, it was an patrol in the park, all be her lonesome. A courage rebuilding experience hopefully!

Selenite was stalking around with a frown on her face. She'd been involved in the snowball fight between the Negaverse and senshi the other day (it sill made her roll her eyes whenever she thought about it), and had left on account of the cold after taking one too many snowball attacks. Her Captain hadn't lasted the whole fight, but he'd stayed longer than either of his subordinates, which meant extra patrol to build up stamina against the cold.

Stupid senshi. Arms folded across her chest, the blue-haired lieutenant had her hands tucked under in order to keep them warm. At least she had a long sleeved top, and gloves, and overall, she was grateful for her uniform. Better than prancing around in heels, like whoever's footprints she'd just found. Glancing ahead on the path, Selenite noticed a flash of white outfit and red hair - it seemed familiar, like something she'd caught out of the corner of her eye.

Hmm. Whoever it was didn't seem to be paying much attention to their surroundings, so Selenite started to walk a little faster, in an attempt to catch up. It was hard to walk quickly and silently over snow, but she managed for the most part.

Except for when she stepped on a twig, the SNAP echoing loudly in the otherwise quiet park.

Maia whirled around at the sound that came from somewhere behind her. She frowned seeing a girl standing a little ways off and looking very familiar. Obviously she had seen the girl before even if they had not been formally introduced. Maia could feel the girls aura, the not quite rightness, the twisted feeling of a negaverse officer and knew being formally introduced usually involved being attacked.

She frowned looking at the girl and feeling increasingly more nervous, by the second. Yes, she had been working on her attack and she was good for three without getting dizzy, but she wasn't sure she was really ready for a battle with a nega baddie.

Maia steeled herself taking a deep breath and speaking up, "What do you want," she demanded more than asked.

Selenite had kept walking after the twig had snapped, although she had stopped and quite visibly winced. Thankfully her captain wasn't around, or else she'd be sure to get a gently mocking talking to later. She stopped, however, as soon as the senshi spoke to her.

"Well," the bluenette said, attempting to judge the distance between them, "If you're offering, how about your starseed?" Not quite close enough, she judged, summoning her weapon with a small pop of displaced air and shuffling a few steps closer, once more thankful for her boots. Although this senshi had a remarkably sensible outfit.

For a senshi, anyway.

Maia's frown deepened at the other's words. Here hands went to cover her chest without her even noticing. She had even take a step back, then a few more, as the other was approaching, not wanting the other to gain any real proximity to her.

It was with the small pop and the appearance if the girl's 'stick' that Maia snapped to. She eyed the stick critically for a moment before deciding not to underestimate it, despite its patheticness.

Suddenly she charged forward and lept at the other kicking out her foot. She aimed to knock the stick out of the other's hand before she shoved her. She was working on strengthening her attack, but now she knew its issues and wanted save them for when she had a bit less energy or was losing.

That was...an interesting reaction, Selenite mused, watching the senshi clutch her hands to her chest. Maybe some other Negaverse agent had attacked her? That would explain the probably subconscious action to cover the area most people went for when extracting a starseed. Mentally shrugging the thought off, Selenite took a couple more steady steps forward, bringing her pointer into more of an attack position.

That proved to be a worthwhile measure as her opponent suddenly darted forward, throwing a kick out for good measure. It was a little off, but enough to make Selenite spin slightly on the snow and wet sidewalk, throwing her off balance.

So, she knew a little bit about how to fight. And knew enough not to start shouting about love and justice, or whatever it was senshi fought for. Luckily, Selenite also knew about how to fight, so she was able to turn her spin into a controlled pivot that sent a flashing strike with her pointer towards Maia.

Maia frowned deeply when her kick missed and she went past the other girl landing a bit close. The nega girl spun and thwack, Maia was hit nicely in the side by the girl's pointer. She winced lightly and threw a glare at the girl before jumping a few feet away.

It was not often Maia fought a negaverser and dammit the girl seemed to have her wits about. Maia hadn't wanted to but, sge was going to have to throw her off a bit.

She straightened up a bit and cried out, "Sweet Harmony." The sweet song that was her power filled her. She sang out the sweet short notes, watching as the lovely translucent rainbow colored noted appeared before and and rushed at Selenite, in an attempt to encircle her with a mini tornado of notes.

First blood, as it were, to Selenite, who smirked a bit and took a step towards the retreating senshi. It was always nice to have the upper hand, although senshi could have such irritating attacks once they'd tired of the physical.

Which her opponent proved as the next step Selenite took felt like it was taking forever. Why was she doing this again? Shaking her head, the bluenette frowned and attempted to snap herself into a better guard position. She'd heard the attack called out, and seen the music notes, so that meant she'd used her ability.

Right? Selenite pondered this as she felt a jaw cracking yawn begin to build up; clearly she'd been spending too long out on patrol at night and not enough time sleeping. Well, once she defeated this senshi, she could head back to the Crystal dorms and pass out. Forget homework, for once.

Maia watched for a moment at the notes got to the other and she underwent its affects. She frowned slightly at her inability to create the same affect twice, but shook it off. The overall was usually the same. The other couldn't move nearly as fast as before.

She ran forward wanting to get a close to the girl as possible and as soon as she was in the other space, she spun and kicked her leg out aiming for the others side. The ice and snow made her spin a bit faster than was intended, but she tried to keep her eyes on the girl to avoid getting dizzy.

Selenite was able to see Maia running at her, and the kick coming, but her counter to cover her side was slow. Too slow, really, and the bluenette was only able to get her elbow hit for her trouble. With only a small amount of force deflected, Selenite went stumbling away, much faster than if she'd tried moving under her own power.

A low growl escaped her once she'd gotten her bearings back, much more menacing than the grunt of pain that had issued from her moments before. "Senshi have the weirdest attacks," she grumbled with a yawn, taking up another defensive stance. With her energy this low - and why the sudden drop? - it was better to counter attacks that came. Make her opponent exhaust herself, instead of spending the last dregs of her strength.

Maia grinned seeing the other go stumbling and hearing her grumble. It was a bit funny, but Maia knew she only had a minute, so she didn't attempt approaching the girl again. Instead she just smiled a bit brighter looking at all the snow around and decided to go with it.

She picked up a handfull of the hardened snow, frowning at it cold wetness and packed it into a ball before throwing at the girl as hard as she possible could. Her arms weren't as strong as her legs by far, but she was also fairly close to the other girl, so she hoped the snow, well techincally ice ball, would do some damage.

*Sorry for the wait, been a bit blah lately.*

She hadn't expected the snowball, which came in once again too fast for her to deflect. It might have started out as light and fluffy on the ground, but after being packed into a ball, it well, packed quite a punch, hitting the Lieutenant square in the ribs. Selenite let out another grunt, breath streaming out in a white banner as the impact made her stagger again.

"As if being involved in a snow fight once wasn't enough," she muttered, placing her hands on her knees to get her wind back. She flicked a glance at the senshi, braid hanging over her shoulder. Fine. A quick - for her at the moment - movement and Selenite had her own snowball ready to throw. "Well?" she asked as the ball went flying towards the enemy.

((No problem! <3 Lemme know when the attack wears off; I'm not really sure how long a minute would in a fight lmao.))

Maia grinned slightly seeing her snowball thwack the other right in the ribs. It looked as if for the moment, but she knew that the effect would wear off in a few seconds and was proven correct as she was hit right in the thigh with a snowball.

"Ow," she growled, her annoyance rising with red whelp that blossom just beneath her skirt. Looked like the girl had recovered just fine. Maia rolled her eyes and straightened up taking a stance. She was sure the other was mad, which meant only one thing. She was likely to be attack, in a moment.

[[She's good to go, I think those few post was plenty of time]]

As suddenly as it had arrived, Selenite's lethargy shook itself off, leaving the Negaverse officer fully alert for the first time since. Oh. Stupid goddamn senshi magic, she grumbled internally. Well. Ticking over what she already knew about senshi in general, it seemed likely that her opponent would be able to get off another attack at some point. Possibly not right away, however.

Which meant that her best opportunity was probably right now.

So with a sharp grin, Selenite launched herself forward, swinging her pointer at the senshi. She wasn't aiming anywhere, really; she'd be satisfied with landing any sort of hit.

Maia frowned and went to block when the ridiculous stick was swung at her, bu tit seemed the girl wasn't really aiming so Maia did not catch where it was going until the last minute. Which meant ... ouch ... she got smacked right in the face a red mark blossoming across her cheek where the pointer landed.

She groaned her hand flying up to her face as her knee flew up her foot kicking out to get the girl and her stick away from her. That blow stung like crazy and it was right on her face. She could not help the tears that formed in her eyes as she sucked in a breath.

She did not have time to think about it knowing the girl was definitely not going to leave it at just a smack.
