AMITYVILLE ACADEMY ENROLLMENT FORM

Name: Westus Rhodan Warrick. His middle and last names are not shared with anyone but his family because... demon.

Nicknames: West

Gender: Male

Age: Appears 17ish.

Faction/Race: Avarice Demon - Wrath Style

Personality:
Despite all of the capital letters in this section, Westus is not a screaming Harry Potter. He tends to mutter to himself and might give you a crazy grin every once and a while, but in most average RP situations he's not just going to punch another student without provocation. That sort of behavior is for solos. :)

+ DON'T CALL ME A WUSSSS AARGHAHGHGAHGHGHGHHHH
(brave)
When you're one sideways glance away from exploding into a rage 90% of the time, other creatures tend to be more afraid of you than you are of them. Because of this, West is remarkably fearless and sort of brave by default. He's not afraid to piss people off or jump off of tall things because he soaks up anger like a sponge and he can fly, so go ahead and dare him to JUST DO IT LIKE NIKE

+ I CANNOT TELL A FRICKIN LIIIIEEEEEE I'VE TRIEDDDD
(honest)
West has serious issues with subtlety and learned long ago that he sucks at verbal deception. Nowadays he doesn't even attempt to lie most of the time and is just as likely to tell you the truth outright as he is to scream "NOOOO" and stomp off when confronted. Either way, his reaction will probably tell you plenty about whatever it was that you asked.

+ FINE, I'M ONNNNNNNN ITTT SHUT UPPPPP
(a quick and efficient worker)
West hates being bogged down by lists of things other people want him to do for them, so he tries to get those things done as quickly as possible. He hates having to do something more than once even more, so in all likelihood, he'll expend the extra bit of effort to do things right the first time.

- RAEG
(raeg)
West is addicted to anger, whether it's his own or someone else's. He compulsively seeks out arguments to participate in, and it's rare that he doesn't have scabby knuckles or sore toes from punching or kicking an unsuspecting person or thing. He tends to fall into a sort of berserker mode, staying awake for days and running on adrenaline, before crashing in a messy heap of snoring and missed classes.

- EVERYTHING'S HILARIOUS AHAHAHHAHAHAAAA
(he's mocking you)
It might seem odd for a wrath demon to laugh as much as West does, but he has found that one of the quickest ways to piss people off is to crack up right in their faces, especially if he's supposed to be taking them seriously. He has made it his mission to do so, long and hard. Long. And hard.

- I'M NOT MUMBLING YOU'RE JUST NOT LISTENING RIGHTTTTT
(slurs like your uncle on saturday night)
West has a lot of trouble speaking clearly. He's always in a rush to get to his next sentence, and any thought he just finished having is DONE, MAN. OVER. He would be much better off if he possessed some form of telepathy that would enable him to say things as soon as he thought of them, because the time it takes for thoughts to get from his brain to his lips is apparently too long for them to remain coherent. Still, it's probably better for you that he's not telepathic. The stuff bouncing around in his brain is kind of annoying.

Likes:
fight club
If you like kicking the s**t out of others or having the s**t kicked out of you, West would like to talk to you about it.

eating
While certainly not up to the nom level set by gluttony demons, West burns off a lot of calories being so angry, and he takes pleasure in replenishing them. He likes savory foods in particular - meats and gravies, cheeses, certain types of starches with cheeses on them - stuff like that. Even if you're not offering one of his favorite foods, West is still not one to turn down much of anything edible.

nice things
West enjoys wearing clean, pretty clothes and accessories, but he has never had to care for or purchase them himself. Now that he's responsible for his own things, expect him to either fray them beyond recognition or simply purchase a billion new articles of clothing every week and throw away everything he removes.

Dislikes:
animals
He likes to kick animals, but most people wouldn't say West enjoys having them around. Watch out minipets!

being quiet
This probably goes without saying, but West gets antsy when things are too quiet. He has no problem making his own noise and will mutter to himself at the very least when creating a larger ruckus would be frowned upon. He often wears headphones to class just to provide some sort of background noise.

you
Yes.

Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy?
Westus hails from a large, wealthy family of both born and adopted wrath demons. The majority of them fall at one of the wrathy extremes:
  • quiet and scheming, or
  • unfit for public appearances.

West, however, lies somewhere in between, and it's a bit of a problem for him, not to mention an embarrassment for his family. Not crazy enough to serve as a truly frightful menace, nor sly enough to insidiously plant the seeds of anger without incriminating himself, he is seen by his family as unpredictable, a loose cannon. He was sent to Amityville to hone his FEAR and, hopefully, to encourage him to pick a damn speciality.

He is interested in the more physical classes offered at the Academy, naturally, but with the appropriate motivators (hint: violence) he has the potential to excel at slightly brainier disciplines.

DO THIS MATH PROBLEM AND I GIVE YOU PERMISSION TO SHOVE JIMMY IN HIS LOCKER AAAARRHHGGHLEBRGLE

Natural ability:
[Wrath demons are] vicious demons that fight if given the chance. They hide blood-stained feathered wings that give them the ability to fly. (Copied from this Demon thang.)

FEAR:
You're getting angry... very angry...
He can gather his considerable anger and mentally chuck it at an opponent, leaving West more inclined to employ strategy or even make the decision to retreat. Shocking. This rage impairs its target's ability to attack accurately for some time after. West may only use his FEAR on one person per battle and its effects fade if the fight goes on long enough, leaving his opponent clearheaded once more.

Post-battle, it takes about a day for West's FEAR-induced mellowness to abate, leaving him open to calmer interaction with more passive students. His personality doesn't change, per say, West just loses all desire to act on his angrier impulses, muttering and grumbling more than kicking and punching.

Needless to say, West despises his FEAR.

Physical Description

Eye Colour: Green with dark sclera.

Hair Colour/Style: Reddish pink, messy.

Skin Colour: Tan to medium brown.

Clothing Style/Colours: BELTS DAMMIT. Belts with other nice-looking clothing underneath. Pink.

Extra: Horns, a tail, wings (although he doesn't show them off much).

I suck at this and you know it, so here:

Personality: I don't think any of his virtues or fallbacks are conflicting enough to worry. In fact, I think they go together really well. B:

Enrollment: He definitely seems like a menace to me. Not necessarily crazy, but dangerous as all get-out. Why does his family think he isn't? I understand that he's coming in to learn which way to go, though, which makes total sense.

FEAR: When I think about transferring a wrath demon's rage, I see someone going flying with total pissed-off 'tard strength. Why do they lose a turn? Does the rage build so slowly as to confuse them? On that same line, why does it impact the rest of their attacks? Like I said, people tend to be crazy-strong when they're imbued with that much rage. Maybe a higher chance of missing? You didn't really explain just what it impairs. Also, it seems a little silly to have him suddenly timid. I can see him being a person sans-rage, but is his wrath really all that makes him angry? Is that a personality trait, or rage-specific? If so, he may need a whole 'nother set of personality traits for when his anger is transferred. Having him be super-tired might work better?

Hmmmrroommm. I get a picture in my mind of half of his family members being super smarmy and so slimy at interjecting wrath into a situation that no one even knows where their anger came from once the demon leaves the room, and the other side being SO FRICKIN SCARILY ANGRY THAT YOU DROP YOUR INTESTINES THROUGH YOUR a**s WHEN THEY GET WITHIN 140 FEET AND THEN YOU TRY TO RUN AWAY BUT YOU'RE TRIPPING ON YOUR OWN ENTRAILS AND OH JESUS PLEASE DON'T KILL M-- *heart attack*

So he falls between those two extremes, but still, I agree. I thought as I was writing him that he was a bit too easy to set off for normal RP purposes. I'll keep thinking of ways to make him less spiky.

I was thinking that having that much wrath injected into you would stun you a bit, hence the losing a turn. And just because you're mad doesn't necessarily mean you know how to punch, although I shouldn't assume characters here don't know how to fight. hur hur I forgot to mention that it isn't all that effective on creatures who run on maditude anyway because they're used to being mad.

*thinks some mo'*

thank yoo

edit: okay these things have been addressed to the best of my ability without delicious character building roleplay
