She was glad of her thickening coat for these cold months. It was mid day and still the chill in the air bit at her nose with every breath. She was happy as she walked, feeling every movement of her unborn children. She walked through the trees, stopping at a small stream to take a drink. The cool water was nice, settling her stomach for a moment. Lifting her head, she looked around through the trees and dimly lit area. each breath was a puff of steam from her. Fer tail flicked as she began walking once more, every step a careful one of the frosted ground.

Thesh-ah had been fallowing along the edge of the stream for quite sometime now nibbleing at tasty blades of frosted grass with zelous. This was her favorite Treat undoubtedly as the frost did two things. It seemed to make the blades a tad sweeter and as they were frozen they made a delightful refreshing crunch when she chewed them.
Nibble. Step. Nibble. Step. Nibble. step.
Had been her repeating pattern for long she hasent bothered looking up for quite sometime. A tiny snow bird chirped and flitted past her head. Her glowing emerald green eyes fallowed it keenly untill it landed on a mare glowing with the joy of mother hood.
Then of course her attention was on the mare who was sipping cool mt spring water. She appered to be alone.
Who leaves a mother alone!?!? Thesh wondered in a very concerned manner.
"excuse me miss are you allright?" she asked looked abou to see if someone had indeed been irrisponsible enough to leave her alone.

The voice had caused her to look around. Seeing the other mare, she gave a friendly smile and nodded. "I'm quite fine, thank you." Her voice was calm and sweet like spring given a voice. Sure pregnant she probably shouldn't have been traipsing about and wandering off on her own, but then it was how she'd spent most of her life. Alone and always on the move looking for that next big adventure. Her belly gave a bulge in one area where a foal looked to be pushing and stretching out in attempt to find some more room. She gave a small shake of her head and turned enough that she could see what she'd felt only to chuckle in response.

Thesh-ah being the worry wort she was esspecily arround babies and mothers was still fairly certain she shouldent be wandering alone despite the mares confident manner.
As confidence even in vast amounts was hardly any match for the teeth of a skin walker even a bad day. She almost said that exact thing infact but thought better of it. It would be far better to appeal to the freindship side of things, rather than imposeing her help via horror stories.
Taking a few steps closer she saw the young ones inside her eager for space wiggle about. She smiled brodly she couldent wait to have that feeling of life within her one day. Of course the way things were going with Styx perpas that day wouldent be very far off.
"my name is Thesh-ah and yoy have my whole hearted Congratulations." she said softly "this may sound a tad odd but may I." she asked wanting to touch the mares side with her nose to feel the movement.

Shoshana nodded. "Sure, go ahead. I'm Shoshana by the way, But I'll answer to Sho." She smiled and stepped closer still so that Thesh-ah wouldn't feel like she was imposing or anything. Motherhood was a new experience to her and one she was taking in stride. She had to wonder though, just where the father of her little ones had gotten off to or if she'd see him in time to tell him before they arrived. Stowing away her thoughts for now, she looked at a few blossoms of frost covered primrose. Her stomach rumbled as she looked at the blossoms and sighed. Not only had her hunger increased but so too had the variety of food she ate, It seemed her little ones had a finicky taste for things and reflecting on what another mare had once said she wondered if possibly these new fods would end up being the favorites of her children.

"Pretty name." she commented the placed her muzzle very lightly against sho's side carefully so as not to jab her with the pointed nose portion of her skull mask.
For a moment they were still inside of her then thesh felt a little jab. She almost jumped back fearing she might have pushed to hard even though she was pretty sure she hadent.
Giveing her cloven hooves and excited shuffle she talked to them in a voice no one would have expected to come out of something so imposeing.
"hello in there are you giveing your mummy a tummy ache? Are you?" she asked.
She felt another wiggle that may have been a response and couldent help but laugh a little. It was funny how happy little ones made her.
Takeing her nose away she smile beneath her mask in a way that showed in her emerald eyes.
"they certainly are going to be an energetic bunch." she commented with a nod. "but I bet your hungry? I happen to know there is an apple tree not far from here." she offered.

Sho couldn't help but to chuckle as the other mare spoke to her barrel. "I'm pretty hungry now.. Though as much as I Love apples.. I can't seem to really stomach them much at the moment.. I Wonder if it has something to do with the pregnancy." But if you know where there's a clover patch I'd be happy to follow. I've munched most of the clover around my usual area so I'm pretty much on the look for more, well.. that and trying to find out what else they seem to be making me crave." She chuckled some as she felt another bump and wiggle. It's been surprising to feel the new life at first but with every bump and wiggle she felt it just seemed to flood joy through out her, and shine in her face.

Still giddy with the excitement of new ones she had to force herself to calm down enough to be able to think clearly. Her memory was nad enough with directions without being all happlily befuddled. Thesh tilted her head in thoght for a moment.
"Clover eh? Hummmm I think there may be a patch along the north ridge of the hill not far from here. Like maybe a 15 minuet walk." she replied after a moment.
"the trail is fairly even and I don't think there will be any ice patches yet." she added. " though persnally if I were in your shoes I would just make the father go and get it for me."

She gave a small frown. "I'm afraid that I'm unsure of where exactly he is.. This wasn't exactly a planned coupling." She flushed a bit slightly embarrassed. " It's ok though.. I plan of trying to find him. I think he should at least know about it. " She smiled. It was true she did feel she should at least find the father and let him know about it. She didn't know if he'd be delighted or shun he and her young in the end but it didn't seem to matter to her. " Maybe.. just maybe clover's not the right thing to munch right now any ways."[/b} She gave a small giggle. " I mean.. It's not the only thing I seem to want to eat right now I might as well indulge a little while I've got the cravings. Besides who knows maybe there's something in these other foods that my little ones need?"

"oh well being a single mother isint bad either. It's probablly what i will end up doing." she smiled " as for differnt foods. when My mother had me she told me that she ate alot of leaves esspecilly the star shaped ones and weeds from the bottom of cold lakes. The leaves so I would not be stubborn toward change and the lake weeds to Have a closer feeling to life forces. We had alot of lore reguarding those kinds of things. Now takeing a chilly dip I don't recomend however leaves I can get. Do any if those perk your taste buds?" she said happy that she could be of help in anyway. Of course all this talk of food made her stomach growl even though he had just got done eating a rather healthy snak of frosted grass.

Sho smiled. " Leaves sound kind of nice... then again that primrose looks rather tasty too..." She giggled some. " I'm afraid if i nibble on the primrose though I'll start snacking on my own roses. Hmm.. How about we find a clearing and see what it has to offer?" She Looked around familiarizing herself with the area some. She didn't often travel this direction so she wasn't sure just where the nearest break in the trees would be. "Where is the nearest clearing?"

Tunrig about to face west Thesh-ah snapped into a pointer dog stance sticking her hind leg out and one front leg up makeing her body absoluetely ridgid.
"That away!!!" she directed dramtically then started to trot off in the propped direction.

Laughing, she followed Thesh. The mare at first only walked then broke into a slight trot her belly bouncing and jostling as she went. A rather rough kick from one of the foals inside caused her to walk once more. It seemed to her that as active as her babies were they didn't seem to like being jostled about so much. " Hold up.. I'm gonna walk I keep getting kicked if I trot." she called out with a chuckle. The area was quite nice with it's frost, the sun didn't seem to penetrate things very well in the undergrowth.

Thesh slowed down to walk beside her "sorry sometimes I get a little over excited it's not very offten I have anyone to do anything with.." she apologised and looked down at the ground for some moments as if studying it intently to avoid asking something it didn't work she ended up just blurting it out.
"I've been meaning to ask. . .dosent my apperance bother you? I mean most soq go whoa and high tail it out of rw surrounding area. I'm not complaining I would just like to know." she added a tint of shame showed in her voice but she had to know.
