The Library and Museum
The home of knowledge. Information from not only the Land of Lightning, but from all countries is gathered here. Though there is no secrets of other villages that would causes war. Because this is the knowledge that everyone knows, what is out in the open. Though maps of the villages itself is meant to be forbidden information. There is also all the information on the basic jutsu everyone can learn, of course you can only learn up to two elements in a life time. But there is many other techniques to compensate. There is also the gathering of sacred relics and other pieces of history that involve the Land of Lightning. There is such things as the hats of previous Raikage that were recovered from the old village, some rusted over weapons of famous ninja, and many other artifacts. It is a place of knowledge, a place of history and you will love the information that there is to behold.

Akati arrived at the Library, after a brief walk. He needed to find a book on crafts, a book on how to discover your element and how to further your chakra control. So he went and did the smart thing and asked at the reception. He then wrote down the locations of where the scrolls and books were, and then went around to find them. He looked down the appropriate places for them. He then found them one after the other, first the basic crafts book, a scroll on chakra control, and then a book on elements.
Look for DC 10 vs 16 + 2 = 18. Success.

First Akati studied the basic crafts book...Basics of Crafts What is the Craft skill?
As the name states, the Craft skill is a skill that allows you to craft certain items at lower prices. Not to mention that it also allows you to create signature items of you own and even items that surpass the powers of the gods (not literally). Simply, the craft skill allows you to transform iron and other materials into weapons and other mundane items. Akati read that and was now even more inspired. He was sure he could make the ultimate weapon for himself! And to cut costs too, that would be great! He started thinking up so many ideas that would possibly work for him. Something to do with rope maybe. But he shook his head and carried on reading.Basics of Crafts Types of Crafts: Craft (Blacksmith): This skill allows you to craft all kinds of weapons, no matter the size or the price as long as you can meet the requirements for the item and obviously the prize for the materials. Craft (Mundane Items): This skill allows you to craft mundane items such as rulers, vials, vases and anything that can be commonly sold in a marketplace. Craft (Clothing): This allows you to make your own clothing from simple pants to royal kimonos. This skill can be used to craft any kind of clothing and accessories as well as mending clothing that has been ripped in battle. Craft (Jewelry): This allows you to craft items with gems and the like this skill is needed to cut gems and to add them to weapons or basically anything. Craft (Traps): This skill allows you to create traps of all kinds. This is the only craft skill that requires a craft check (dice roll). The craft check determines the trap damage; however, to hide the trap you must use the Hide skill and your enemy must use either a Spot or Search to find the trap. Craft (Art): As the name states this skill allows your character to craft art pieces such as paintings and other types of arts. The paintings can be sold for a high price. Craft (Puppets): A special craft skill for puppet masters, this skill allows you to craft your own customized puppet as well as repairing it in case it was needed to. "Wow! So I may need a few different skills for what I have in mind!" Akati nodded to himself and smiled. He now had an idea that would work pretty damn well. But first he had to get the skills he needed to create the weapon he wanted. He would not slack off on it either, he wanted it to be the most perfect weapon ever.
He had some paper and drew down a few ideas. His mind was flooding with them.(Research) Easy Book: DC 12 vs 11 + 2 = 13. Success.

Now Akati was on to the scroll about chakra and how to control it. It was interesting, there was a lot of stuff he already knew. But there was something he didn't really remember doing at the academy, and that was using objects to concentrate chakra at a certain point. He wrote down some notes about that.
He then looked it over a bit more and discovered exactly what he needed to know about finding out your element. What he needed to do was concentrate his chakra into a piece of paper specifically made to be sensitive to chakra. So he wrote down how to get it and how to use it.Chakra Info Scroll The Chakra Paper reactions are as follows: Fire: the Paper will ignite and turn to ash. Wind: the Paper will split in two. Lightning: the Paper will wrinkle. Earth: the Paper will turn to dirt and crumble away. Water: the Paper will become wet/damp. Next, he learned how to master the element that you discover is yours. First he needed to to find a small object and concentrate his chakra into that object to make it do basically the same thing the paper did. Once that small object has been used up, he then needed to find something bigger, and then something even bigger than that. Until he was ready to learn a technique of that element.(Research) Scroll: DC 14 vs 17 + 2 = 19

Quote: Name: Wisdom Training Description: Zentos is going to read through a number of books in the Kumogakure library to try and gain some knowledge of the world beyond Kumogakure. Progress: 2/10DC Needed: 10 + Wis. Mod[-1]=9 Zentos came up from the cave to the library, and decided to try, yet again, to look through more of the books available to him to gain some knowledge. He walked through the makeshift doors into the library and walked past some of the famous weapons of past shinobi of Kumogakure. He saw a few impressive katana and one strange mace-like weapon, but they were all gathering dust and rust. They had lost their luster and now most people just walked by and ignored and tried to avoid them. Trying to take in all the culture that was probably in the rusted weapons, he stared at a katana for a moment before proceeding into the main chamber that contained most of the knowledge of the village. he picked out a book with a colorful color, and it talked of strange things, like how to brew tea perfectly, as well as how to perfectly grow certain vegetables in every season. Not the farmer that his ancestors were, Zentos wasn't particularly interested in this subject at all. It seemed as if whatever he read was destined to bore him. Not one to quit halfway through, he finished off the book and set it aside. At least now, he knew that squash could be grown in the winter at exactly 76 degrees. Chuckling quietly to himself, he realized how absolutely ludicrous that was. Who would ever want to grow fruit in the winter? It would be too much work for a disgusting fruit. That was his opinion, anyway. He went over to grab another book.

Progress: 3/10DC Needed: 10 + Wis. Mod[-1]=9 Zentos reached out to grab another book, when another bright book caught his eye. Not as assorted in multiple colors as the other, this one talked about chakra elements along with how to figure it out. Although he already knew that he was lightning because of his lineage, it was nice to read about how normal people figured theirs out. Apparently, one had to get a special chakra laced paper and then exert some of their own chakra into it. Smirking, he had known he was of the lightning affinity for years, probably ever since he could feel the tingling in his toes and could unleash chakra from his limbs. It was nice to take in this much knowledge, but he was also getting a slight headache from how fast he was skimming these books. Skimming, probably not advisable if he wanted to retain all the knowledge, but at the very least he could have a general overview of whatever the subject matter was.

Progress: 4/10DC Needed: 10 + Wis. Mod[-1]=9 Zentos was flipping through the pages of another book when he coincidentally glanced at a page explaining the history of Kumogakure. As amazed as he was, he felt that it was really something spectacular how fall Kumo had fallen. In it's prime it was almost unbeatable.. but that avalanche ruined so much for the citizens. He had to give everybody here credit though, they could have up and moved to another village.. kinda of like how he had immigrated from Iwagakure, but every single person that had survived the avalanche was indeed still in the village, doing everything they could to rebuild the things that they had lost. Zentos was almost proud, but he remembered that he was not actually a trueborn citizen of Kumo. That fact aside, he was still swelling with pride about the people here that had taken him in, when they themselves had almost nothing. A warm and fuzzy feeling filled his chest and his eyes almost teared up. This confirmation that Kumogakure was a strong village only further motivated him to train and work harder in his studies and work, if only to gain the respect of these great people in this village. He would do everything he could to make people love him.

Progress: 6/10DC Needed: 10 + Wis. Mod[-1]=9 Zentos threw this last book onto the table that he was occupying and went to the shelves and picked out a bland, gray colored book to read. This one was about the famous Rokudaime Hokage, Uzumaki Naruto. It had been centuries since he had died but the way that he had become hokage was truly the most and best told story in the world. Everyone knew of his team and his story. It was absolutely inspiring. Zentos knew that he probably didn't want a position as a kage, the politics definitely didn't suit him at all. But he liked the idea of being taught by a master and having talented skills as a genin. He could use an A rank jutsu as a genin! That was truly amazing. All Zentos could do was conduct electricity.. that fact alone wasn't very impressive. He determined to try and learn some nice taijutsu after some training and studying here. But what move could he possibly learn right now.. he felt like he was on the top, no other genin had even shown themselves to him in Kumo so far, but he knew that the possibility that someone was better than him was very real, but so far he felt superior.

Quote: Name: Wisdom Training Description: Zentos is going to read through a number of books in the Kumogakure library to try and gain some knowledge of the world beyond Kumogakure. Progress: 8/10DC Needed: 10 + Wis. Mod[-1]=9 As Zentos was reading about Naruto, he got slightly bored. History had never been one of his favorite subjects in the academy anyway. he much preferred hands on things like taijutsu and practicing ninjutsu and chakra control. Reading these books in the library almost made him want to go back under the crystals and work out some more. Coincidentally, as he was trying to think of things to train for, he cracked open a book about the different statistics used to determine a ninja's strength. On one page there was a card filled with a diagram and a picture of a random ninja. There were quantitative measurements of how well someone was in ninjutsu, and how good they were in taijutsu. There was some kind of information gathering jutsu that could allow someone to know their own stats. Sadly, Zentos didn't exactly have all the time in the world to research the jutsu and do some trial and error to figure out if he could do it or not. He was much more content to read about the skills of other shinobi and learn about how to do that. Now, reading into the book further in depth, which stat should he train? He read an excerpt from the book to decide what to do.Quote: Strength: This measures your raw physical power and affects your hand-to-hand taijutsu damage. Dexterity: This measures how agile you are, as well as your coordination skills and reaction time. This affects your dodge bonus and your ranged damage. Constitution: This is how hardy you are; how much you can endure. This affects your Hp. Intelligence: This is how smart you are in terms of knowledge. A higher Intelligence allows you to learn techniques faster. Wisdom: This measures your instinct, as well as your aptitude to the wild. This affects your MHp {mental health} also your dodge bonus. Charisma: This is how good your social skills are. Charisma is vital to successful interaction with NPCs and completion of missions. Chakra: This measures your reserves of chakra. This affects your Cp.
Extremely informative, Zentos decided to try and train his dexterity and wisdom next. Strangely enough, he felt like most of the training that he had been doing for the past few years would fall into these categories. Heh, he had been training perfectly for years without even knowing it! Somewhat proud of himself now, he read on.

Progress: 10/10DC Needed: 10 + Wis. Mod[-1]=9 Zentos decided to finish only one more book, and then he would go back down to the caves to take a short nap and then decide on what to do. He picked up a book that spoke of summoning contracts. Intrigued, he knew that the Zee clan didn't have a contract by themselves, but it was unknown to him whether or not Kumogakure as a whole had any. The concept of having a pet/fighter/friend on call for just a little chakra was very appealing to Zentos, as nowadays he was constantly alone training. Maybe something he summoned could help him become stronger? Wishful thinking aside, he was truly interested in this concept. The idea came to him that he could just go out into the mountains and tame a wolf pet, but he was unsure as to how that would help him. Summons were quite intelligent and knew how to speak, and they had jutsu and knew how to fight. A wolf in these parts would take endless hours to train to do tricks and fight with him. Oh well, at least he had found something interesting to read.

Akati decided to see if the librarian had the chakra paper he wanted to use. He walked around to the reception desk, and found no one there, so he rang the bell. The librarian popped up out from behind the reception desk and startled Akati a little. He was used to seeking around and all that, but he didn't really expect that. "Is there any chakra paper here?" "Yes! Here is five pieces." Akati was the pieces of chakra paper quite quickly. It must be a common place to get the paper. "Thanks!" He put them in his pocket and decided he needed to go to the training grounds once more.

Progress: 1/30DC Needed: 10 + Int. Mod[1]=11 Zentos walked into the library. This was seemingly a routine now. Spend a few hours outside, in the caves, training his physical body, and then coming back into the library to do some kind of brain training. His body was accustomed to it by now, and he was less sore than the first few times he had repeated this process. By taking this much needed break, Zentos was doing something productive than sleeping his day away. His intelligence needed some work anyway. All he had learned about was culture and process. He had in fact gained a little wisdom and insight into the world as a whole, but he wanted to learn a little less about culture this time, and a slight bit more about how to actually accomplish something with the considerable amount of skill that he had acquired.

His life was probably set in stone for him already. As he was a resident of Kumogakure he would probably stay here for the rest of his life. He didn't really care too much about it, the people here were good people, and it was a relatively comfortable area. Deciding to learn more about the history of his now called home, he went and found a book on the history of Kumogakure. It would be an interesting read, all right.

In it were the epics and tales of all the previous raikage's. Shinobi of immense power that were truly people to be admired. Some had been born into nobility, ascending the ranks through ancestry. Yet others had been orphans or poor or not that well off, but their extreme skill in the areas of ninja arts made them extremely capable. These beings were the epitome of perfection. They had been the strongest of their time, and the smartest. Zentos knew that he aspired to be this one day. An S-ranked ninja that everybody feared and respected at the same time. He knew that his day would come soon enough. He would just have to work hard at it for years and years. Perhaps when he was older, he would achieve this kind of status.

Many of them almost ruining the economy with the size and cost, Kumo always seemed to pull through with the help and support of every single one of its generous inhabitants. He read here that one such hero had been a noble. Not even a ninja, he helped the war effort by donating much of his wealth back into the city. Ending up destitute, the story told that he died happy knowing that he had saved his city from absolute destruction by funding it when it needed it most.
