The Bronze Wolf Tavern

Good drink and good company, a place to rest your head, or perhaps just a quiet corner to sip a brew: whatever you seek, chances are you'll find it at the Bronze Wolf. The Tavern has a fully stocked bar, and some lovely owners. Creatures and peoples of every shape and size are welcome, and the tavern is warm and spacious.

Why don't you come in and have a seat. Can I get you something to drink?

The How and the What of the Bronze Wolf

This is a drop-in drop-out Bar RP. This means you walk into the bar when you want, and out when you want. Introductions and Profiles are unnecessary, though frequent bar-goers will be added to the Regulars section of the Who's Who.

You should RP here in third person past tense, but keep it short. RPing should feel light-hearted. The only rules that apply are those of the Guild and obviously, Gaia (though during conversation, the 3 sentence rule can have a bit of leeway). But otherwise, go crazy!

Your character can be any race, age, color, form, etc etc you want. Want to branch out? Your imagination is the limit-the world around the Bar is left undefined so you can fill it in! Leave on quests, slay dragons, start wars, or just sip a beer-the choice is yours.

Who's Who

Staff (NPC's)
Bar Owner - Thomas Ulvson
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Thomas is the owner of the Bronze Wolf, and spends most of his time in the Tavern, meeting his customers. Whether you need a stiff drink or an ear to listen, Thomas is your man. His arms are covered in scars, and every once in a while, he'll tell you how he got one or two. He's an old werewolf who saw war, famine, endless travels and his beloved's death. Nevertheless, he's the friendliest and most welcoming man you'll ever meet. He won't tolerate fighting in the bar, and don't think he's too old to pick you up by the scruff of the neck and send you flying out the door if you're there to cause trouble. He can usually be found behind the bar or out on the verandas smoking his pipe and staring at the stars.

His Son, the Bartender - Dominic Ulvson
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Dominic is Thomas' only child, and they are very close. Dominic inherited his father's werewolf blood, but is much less controlled than his father. He's a friendly fellow, but has a bad habit of being a bit too honest for his own good. He is hopelessly in love with Kate, but can't work up the courage to make a move. He can be found behind the bar, usually "taste-testing" the beer he and his father brew. He's much more open about strange powers and liquids that travelers sell, and he might occasionally offer you a mystery drink. Drink at your own risk.

The Waitress - Kate
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Kate is a beautiful young woman who serves as the waitress as the Bronze Wolf. She has no memory of her past life, before being found by Thomas almost dead in the street. She loves the sunshine and fresh flowers, and always keeps fragrant bunches around the bar. She has no idea of Dominic's feelings toward her, but just might return them-even though his blunt honesty makes them fight like cats and dogs. A feline shapeshifter, she can usually be found sitting on the bar, grooming herself-in the form of a black cat. She'll serve you her home-cooked food, but watch out-you may need to loosen your belt after a few meals.

*These are NPC characters, meaning: you may move them as you wish, have conversations, play with their love lives etc. If your character would like to apply for a staff position, send me a PM, then add it into the RP!

Pick Your Poison
The Tavern is known for it's famous "Moonlight Pale Ale", which is home-brewed. The Bronze Wolf also offers every type of beer imaginable, and plenty of mixed drinks and hard liquor.

For those who want something non-alcoholic, the bar has ice-cold water, fresh milk, an assortment of juices, coffee, and occasionally a special batch of something that may have an interesting effect on your person.

[[I'll format later, for now, let's get this place going! : D I can't believe it took me this long to open a bar. It would be really cool if someone would open a Cafe.... *cough cough* ]]

The floor creaked as Thomas walked toward the door of the Bronze Wolf. A quick twist of the key and the door was unlocked. The lamps outside were lit, casting a welcoming yellow light on the paths outside. The old wolf sighed and walked to behind the bar, grabbing a glass as he did. He quickly filled the glass with ice-cold ale from the tap. He took a sip, savoring the taste, and looked around. The bar was empty, but Thomas knew that once the sun set, all manner of people would fill the bar. He sat back against the bar, wondering who would happen upon the Wolf tonight.

A young girl walked hesitantly into the bar and looked around with wide cloud coloured eyes. She looked out of place and a little overwhelmed. She carried nothing with her, no back pack or purse, or school books, even though she was still in her white and silver uniform. The Uniform suggested she was from the local town's public high school.
She looked around until she saw the old man by the bar, watching her curiously. She suddenly felt nervous as her instincts kicked in, stepping back until her back hit the door she had come in. "you're a werewolf." She stated nervously, fear barely conceled in her eyes.

Thomas laughed a deep booming laugh. "Well, you're very perceptive little lady", he said, allowing a bit of fang to show as he smiled. "Though I lay off uncooked meat lately". He winked, letting her know he was kidding.

"Why don't you sit down? I'll get you something to drink. Or maybe you're hungry, eh?" The grizzled old werewolf leaned down. The clink of glasses was heard as he rummaged for the right glass. He rose back to the bar holding a lovely glass with a short, fine, curled stem connecting the base. "The looks like it'll fit you, eh?" He smiled, hoping he hadn't scared the girl too badly.

The girls eyes widened in fear and shock and a little horror. The unnearvingly she relaxed instantly. "You won't kill me." She stated almost to herself. And with that she walked calmly to the bar and sat on the stool he indicated. "I have no money to pay for the food or drink." she said bluntly looking at him with very young but wise eyes. She looked at the line of drinks behind the bar. Nothing caught her notice. "I only want a glass of water anyway." She said almost to herself.

Thomas had to hold in the laugh that almost erupted from his mouth. Kill you? And here I thought myself a civilized wolf! He shrugged when she spoke and filled the fine glass with crystal clear water. It sparkled in the glass from the twinkling lights of the bar. "It's on the house lil' one". He smiled warmly, trying to dispel the girl's mood.

"A bit dangerous for a young lass like yourself to be traveling about alone, isn't it?" he asked, settling in behind the bar. Her smell spoke nothing of the city, and nothing of the places around the Wolf. He lifted the amber brew in the glass beside him and took as sip. "What brings you to the Bronze Wolf? And to this town, for that matter. The city center is a ways away. Pretty quiet on this side of town." He took another sip. "Not another war driving folks from their home, is it?".

She pushed the door open, huffing a sigh and running a hand through her long hair swiftly before wiping off her bare feet on the threshold. Roranna looked around the tavern, noting the young girl and man at the bar. She stepped inside, letting the door shut softly behind her and walking towards the bartop, her skirts making an obnoxious scritching noise to her overly-sensitive werewolf ears. Yeesh, I'm not the only one, thank goodness, she thought as she leaned forward on the counter, crossing her arms to try to cover her lowcut shirt's exposure. She waited for the two to pause before she would speak.
