On a different guild (not mine) I had a thread for a bunch of avatars I made with tektek.org. I have a LOT >_> and as all good artists know we need to take criticism. Whenever someone criticized I explained why I had things a certain way and took their comments in stride. However a few people started getting really rude, commenting over and over and over about how my avis were "wrong" and how I was "wrong" to think a certain way and etc. The first few times I explained myself, and I even made some new avis to satisfy their complaints in their own section but they STILL kept at it. Finally I asked them to stop being trolls, because their criticism was getting out of control and starting to hijack my thread. They didn't stop, and then started yelling about how I can't take criticism and how they were allowed to express their opinions and etc. So I closed down my thread, posting "Do not feed the trolls" banners because it was just getting to be too much.
One of the people who were causing problems PMed me today with an apology. However, the apology consisted of telling me how rude I am and how I can't take criticism. If THAT wasn't bad enough she sent me a SECOND PM from her mule account with the same message and she also sent me a trade request (since I'm currently questing).
What should I do? Should I just ignore her? Should I accept her apologies?? Or should I send in a complaint???

um... wow?
well first... u made them on tektek~
I'm sure someone would like them.
but everyone has their own opinion.
for them to keep at the criticisms... is a lil rude~
to get them to stop.... just stop quoting them.
as far as the PM~
tell her not to mess w/ ya... cause ur not in the mood~
and to stop stalking w/ her other avis~
there's no point for the other avi pm~
as well as questioning her what the trade was for....
idk~
I normally help out a lot w/ my suggestions, but its up to u or not~

Ok, the only way to win in a situation such as this is to remove yourself from it. I just got out of a pretty bad trolling myself.
If everyone in the guild is acting in this manner, then probably the best thing to do is to leave it. The guild leader should be responsible for it, in my opinion. However! If the community is just /that bad/ then there's nothing you can do about it. There's other places you can discuss your avvies with that will give you much better crits.
Here, for example. ;D
Now for the PM issue. You should probably block her. If she continues to harass you through different accounts, you're able to contact the Gaia staff about it.
You just gotta take the high roads on stuff like this. I know it feels better to attack them back, but you're just, as you said, "Feeding the trolls." Much more effective to ignore first, then report if it keeps on. They get bored and leave you alone, or just kinda forget they were talking to you.
Also sorry. I clicked the funnier looking poll option without reading it. xD I'm always the one voting for the wrong option about here.

Thanks guys. I set a brief message to her saying that we simply have different opinions and she's left me alone. However, now one of her friends has PMed me X_x LUCKILY she just gave me some "avi advice" (which I'm going to ignore because it layers horribly >_>) and I'm not responding to that message out of fear of more trolling. When it comes to leaving that guild it was only that one thread where I had a problem. I don't feel it's fair to judge a whole (very large) guild over 4 members' conducts, so I'll stay for now. If there's anymore problems then I'll leave. I would like to put my avis back on there, because I did get a lot of positive comments from the community, but I'm not sure if that's a good idea or not. I mean, I'm fine with someone not liking them but I feel that they crossed the line this time. I'm worried that if I post them in a different spot history will repeat itself. The problem is I have so many, but my guild is very bare and I'd like to share them to one extent or another. I've been advertising for a few days but so far no one's come knocking~
If you're fine with me cluttering up the guild even more then I'll post them here but I know I've posted a lot of lulz topics already >_> though I was debating on making Vocaloid avis <_<

Maybe if you post again, you can just ignore the negitive/useless comments and focus on those who are commenting nicely? You'll always have people like that.
I'm alright with you posting them here. I really liked your Sailormoon avatars. It's interesting to see how creative you can get with them. :'D

It's interesting to see how creative you can get with them. :'D I really don't think that will work @_@ but I might just make a whole new thread at a later date and hope for the best. Oh yeah...I forgot I posted some of them here. Though only for the sake of lulz and posting. I'm glad you like them though heart
