Chapter Guidelines

If you're in the guild, chances are at some point you'll be involved in a chapter!

Chapters are regular events within the guild that involve all the characters being called together. A problem will present itself and the alarm will be sounded, sending out a gathering signal to every guild member.

Chapters are essentially the "main story" of PMD: Eclipse of Worlds. A lot of plot relevant stuff will happen outside of the chapters (and it's great if you can follow it all) but the significant events will almost always be inside of a chapter. Even if you don't like the main plot, they're a great place to get rewards! Most chapters give out a nice brick of PD (3000~5000), a TM or two, a recruit and three mission points!

Chapters will (usually) start on a Friday at around 7 PM EST. Prior to that, an announcement will be sent out and the "intro" post (the first post in the thread) will be created. When the chapter actually starts, the chapter-runner will make an opening post which usually involves the alarm being rung. They will then wrap up on Sunday, where the rewards for the chapter will be given out and the story will be resolved.

Occasionally, there will be "week long" chapters! These chapters last a full 7-8 days of posting and are limited to grand events that require a longer period of time to complete. These often have much grander rewards and many more mission points. Usually, one gets one mission point per day they post in a week long.

Of course, since it's a chapter, there's some simple rules to follow!

- Generally, a normal or not-very-effective hit will do one damage to a boss. Super effective moves do twice that.
- You can't "auto-hit" the boss. You can string attacks together as if you were (for example "If the Tackle hit, he would immediately follow up with a flamethrower) in order to do more complex maneuvers, but you can't do anything that would change the fight without asking! Tripping the boss, knocking him over... Things like that are off limits unless you confirm it with the mod first.
- You control the "generic" enemies attacking your team. If you say you take them out, you take them out! There's nothing else to it. Of course, try to be reasonable about it. Make your posts interesting, if possible.
- Similarly, try to be courteous and fair. It's not reasonable to do 20 damage in a single post! If you try to do too much damage with a really short, simple and boring post, we'll just ignore it entirely.
- We have "post rounds". A post round begins and ends with the moderator who controls the boss. You can post multiple times in a round, but try to be reasonable! Your characters aren't doing four times as many things as everyone else. Try to limit it to two posts per round. And never consecutively! Give other roleplayers a chance to do things.
