Once upon a time, in a not so far away land, there as a family of the very wealthy. A mother, a father, and a little son. All were spoiled. All were nasty. And all looked down and hurt others purposely.
One day the father fired an employee. The man was low class and wore second hand clothes. He wasn't much to look at either. The father and his family were beautiful and only wanted the best of the best in the company. Even though the man was the best assistant he had ever had he fired him for one reason and one reason only. "Your're too ugly to work in my company. Leave," he had said. The employee almost cried as he lost his job, but he was too proud to beg the selfish CEO for his job. So he left.
The employee had a family and that night he broke it to them that he had lost his job. They weren't sure how they were going to afford their small home now since even though he had had a very good job, he wasn't paid enough. His three of his four children put on brave faces and said they understood. Then they went to help make dinner. The oldest child, a son, said he understood as well and left for his room.
The oldest son was a wizard. Angry over what the wealthy man had done to his father he asked his magic hand mirror to show him the wealthy man. The wealthy family was eating dinner at least the son was. The mother and father were texting and talking on cell phones as they ate. Then they wandered away leaving the small boy to eat alone. The wealthy boy was used to this and finished his meal. Then he left the table as well and went to play video games.
The wizard set his mirror aside and pulled on his cloak. Then he vanished. He reappeared in the wealthy father's study first. He turned the man into a bear like beast with fur covering his body and great fangs in his now lipless mouth. His hands grew claws and became paw like as did his feet. The wizard gave the father a small white rose bush with three small rose buds on it. "One bud will bloom each year. You have three years to right the wrongs you have done and become kind hearted. The bush will grow more buds when you have succeeded. If you don't you will remain this way for the rest of your life," he had said. Then he gave the man a silver mirror like the one he had. The wealthy man looked into it and screamed. The sound came out as a roar. He looked up at the wizard and yelled at him to turn him back, but the wizard had disappeared.
The boy wizard next went to the greedy and selfish wife. She jumped in surprise with the boy suddenly appeared in her room. She and her husband didn't sleep together. She was also a cheater. She had the room sound proofed so that she could bring 'friends' home and 'play' with out her husband or son hearing. He transformed her into a wolf like creature with yellow grey skin, bat wings, and mud brown eyes. Her mouth was full of fangs as well and she had patches of grey fur every where. He presented her with a small white rose bush as well. The bush had three buds on it just like her husband'. "One bud will bloom each year. You have three years to right the wrongs you have done and become a loyal, loving, and true wife. The bush will grow more buds if you succeed. If you do not this form will be yours for the rest of your life," he had said. Then he gave her a silver mirror like he had with her husband and left while she was looking into it with horror. She howled in rage before breaking down crying.
The young wizard next went to the wealthy son's room. The boy looked at him with fear in his eyes since the wizard had appeared in his room out of no where. He wondered where his parents were. He needed them now! The wizard turned the boy into a serpent like beast with white wings coming out of his back. The scales were green and covered him from head to foot. HIs hair turned white and his eyes turned gold with slit pupils. He found he could no longer close his eyes, they had no lids. A thin memberane flicked over his eyes to keep them moist. He had a white lion's tail and his fingers and toes were clawed. He no longer had a nose, instead he had two slits where it used to be. Snake fangs replaced his top canines. His tongue was forked like a snake's as well and he had whiskers like a cat. His eye brows were white as well. The wizard then placed a black rose thorn into his chest over his heart. "Only someone you truely trust can remove that thorn," he said. He gave the boy a small white rose bush with thirteen buds on it. "Since you are so young I will give you thirteen years to find someone who will love you despite your uglyness. Only a kiss from your true love can break the spell and return you to your former good looks. If you can't find some one in thirteen years the change will become permament and you will be a beast forever," he said. He handed the boy a magic mirror like the wizard's own. "Tell the mirror the name of anyone you wish to see and it will show them," he said. Then he disappeared as the boy looked into the mirror and saw his reflection. He started to cry and almost through the mirror at the wall. "Turn me back!!" he yelled at the space the wizard had been in.
The boy's parents commited suiside after a week of being beasts. The boy they left behind was named Kuro. Kuro didn't kill himself. Though he had seen his parents when they died. One shot themself in the head the other poisoned themself. This was done in front of Kuro and needless to say he was tramatized by it. He was six at the time.
In the ten years that have passed since then the boy wizard has come to live with him along with a crippled gardener. The boy wizard is now an adult and is 27 years old. The gardener is 30 years old. Kuro is 16 years old. Kuro had three years left to find true love and someone he trusts. He is both desprate, but believes he will be a beast forever. He has changed a little. Before he couldn't find beauty in roses and didn't get along with his gardener and the wizard. Now he does. If he could just get someone to love him and learn to love them back he'd be set.
You'll play Beauty. He can be seme, seke, or uke, I don't really mind.

RULES OF THE CURSE *This takes place in Tokyo, Japan. Kuro lives out of town in a large mansion in the country side. He runs his late father's business from home. This is a twist on the classic Beauty and the Beast story. If you don't know it familiarlize yourself with it if you want to RP with me. I do not want this to be exactly like the story, but certain parts must happen. We can make this story truely entertaining however if we add our own ideas in. I welcome that. This story will not end like in the story. I am intrested in after the 'happily ever after'. *Keep it interesting. Surprise plot twists and side characters are very welcome. *No instant romance please. In the many versions of this story there is no instant love so I don't want it here. I don't want Beauty being instantly attracted to the Beast either. He looks like a monster. You don't feel attracted to monsters. *No goddmodding and nothing over PG-13. *Proper grammer and spelling. I don't mind some mistakes, but if I like sentences to make sense. *Semi literate to literate posts. *I reserve the right to add more rules. Please have fun. If you have any questions, pm me. *To play Beauty send me a profile via PM with 'I'll try to love you' as the subject and include a ninja at the top and bottom so I know you read the rules. *Thank YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

((By the way, I like how you made him seke. Now we can have fun finding out how's dominant as the story goes on. Beauty or the Beast? XD))
Kuro was in his garden, watering and pruning is roses. Well more specificly the rose bush Ayamu gave him. He always took special care of it and hated when on of the small, perfect buds bloomed into a small, perfect white rose. The bush had grown over the years he had transplanted it from it's small pot to the center of it's own green house. It had grown enormous with all of the room. It was the only plant in that particular green house. His parents' bushes were in another green out to themselves. Unlike his parents, those bushes hand grown entwined with one another and were even bigger than Kuro's. With his parents being dead the bushes had become ordinary, if love struck, white rose bushes.
A few hours later he was done with his bush and moving on to his parents' bush. He entered slowly and looked around for Kohaku. Even though the other was used to his appearace he could still remember the older man's screams and well, he didn't want to scare Kohaku. The man had helped raise him after all.
"Quit skulking and come in already. It's your greenhouse," Kohaku said with a chuckle. He waved at the young man and went back to carefully pruning the entwined bushes.
"......" Kuro didn't say anything and just walked in. He smelled one of the blooms. "How are they?" he asked.
"Strong and healthy as usual. I think the new plant food is working though," Kohaku replied lightly.
"That's good. Have you eaten yet?" he said. He was trying to be nice, really trying. Kohaku patted his shoulder.
"Nope. Ayamu is being his usual self. No eating until the prince gets up. We're a family. You should call him Mama once, just to see what he does," Kohaku replied.
Kuro shrugged. "Let's go eat then. I've been up since dawn," he said. He went into his house. In the kitchen, the scent of eggs, bacon, and buttered toast made from fresh baked bread greeted him. He took his seat at the table after getting a plate and serving himself from the piles of food Ayamu had made.
"Morning, Ayamu. The food looks good," Kuro said.
Ayamu looked at Kuro and smiled softly at him. "Thank you and morning to you too. How are the roses?" he asked.
Once again Kuro was trying to be nice. "Good," he said. Then the boy started to eat breakfast.

((I love sekes; then there's no over-play on seme or uke roles, and both characters can be 'dominate' from time to time C: ))
It was a beautiful place, even if the warm of the late summer heat was almost enough to make the northerner keel over. Yuri was traveling though the woods that was more-or-less a large brush fence that separated several mansions from one another. He was currently creeping though undergrowth, movements smooth and controlled. The young man was hunting, and not just for any regular game either. He was searching for the rumored black fox that had been spotted in the area. Sure, it could be considered a little less than legal to be prowling around land that belong to some rich p***k or another, but Yuri wasn't here to be a peeking tom. Trying to save his father's fur industry, breeding black foxes would be more than a step in the right direction.
If I could just get a breeding pair ... try to get a general population going ... sell to a few collectors and zoos ... He hated the thought of taking anything so rare from the wild, but his family's livelihood was at stake. His brothers wouldn't help, and this was one endeavor that Yuri knew his father would disapprove of.
But, after a long night and early morning of searching, his efforts were in vain. All the trapper found was rabbits, frogs, and a few of the birds more common to this region of Japan. Feeling frustrated with himself, he abandoned the hunt to try again another night. It seemed that he'd gotten a bit turned around though; he came a bit closer to one of the mansions then he intended, and got a good view of the gardens it had.
Roses? Yuri thought, curious to creep a bit closer than was probably wise. What was there to fear though? He could outrun most people who considered themselves 'fit,' and had outrun a few angry four legged creatures as well. At least, he'd outrun them long enough to get to the nearest tree or safe space. I've never seen so many rose bushes ...
Yuri thought of his aging father and the deep wrinkles that had been setting themselves into the older man's face. If I can't get him something that might save our busniess, I might as well bring him back something pretty enough to make him smile. Never mind how he calls me his own 'flower' because I'm 'pretty' like mom was; I now how he likes little surprises.
The young man crept to one of the outlying bushes, roses blood red. He took out the small knife he had on him, for protection purposes, and carefully removed the thorned flower from its stock. Just one, and I'll head back ...

Leo was still in the green houses. The dog liked them as well and seeing as his master took care of them decided it was his job to guard him. Plus a family of black foxes that he was friends with lived in the green houses. Surprisingly Kuro had gotten the dog to stop chasing the mother and father away when he found the kits. Kuro wouldn't admit it, but he didn't want the babies seperated from their parents like he had been. So he let them stay.
The foxes lived under on of the red rose bushes. The one Yuri was picking a blossom from. Leo trotted up to tell the foxes it was time to eat when he found the stranger. Like a good dog he growled before he started to bark. Kuro's sharp hearing would catch the sound and he would come quickly.
And the beast did. When Kuro's ears heard the barking he stiffened before he got up and rushed to his roses. He saw the blossom in the stranger's hand and a lion like growl came from his throat.
"You. You dare to steal one of my roses?!!" he all but roared. Leo made room for Kuro before the boy noticed the knife. He waved the dog back. Beast or no Kohaku would skin him alive if anything bad happened to his dog. He didn't need the pain although he would quickly recover.

Yuri had just been about to leave with his small prize when he noticed something moving within the bush itself. Black in shadow. Black fur down where the thorns protected what looked to be a small den. At first the young man was astonished, then a slow smile crept onto his face. What luck!
And then he noticed the dog; or the dog noticed him. Stiffening at the low growl, Yuri turned, only to see the dog start barking. He mumbled a curse word in Russian, seeing as his father was a native from that land and that was also where they got most of their fur trade, and tried to figure out what would be better: running or waiting to see what servant or puffy noble showed up, if anyone actually di--
Yuri had seen bears. Wolves. Beasts that went at your throat before so much as looking at you. But whatever the thing was that came charging at him next had no name, mythical or actual, to truly describe its horrific appearance. For the first time in his life he was unprepared at facing a beast; usually he knew when to run, freeze, or back away slowly. But ... this was a ... a ... snake-thing! Just realizing the unnaturalness of it made his skin crawl at first, and then he noticed the wings, large and white.
How the hell do I escape something that might be able to fly?! Internally, Yuri was quite panicked. On the outside one hand held the thieved rose, and the other still had hid knife. What ... is it ... talking? Within the outraged roar of a noise, the young man was sure he heard ... words. It was talking about him ... stealing a rose ... Oh.
Now that the shock had worn off a bit, Yuri realized a bit more clearly how things stood. He, himself, was armed with a knife. All the beast had was teeth and claws. Big teeth and claws, with unblinking, angry eyes. But there was at least one black fox in that rose bush! If he could just catch it--
Yuri wouldn't get anything right now though; right now he was caught. So, like a chicken-thieving fox himself, Yuri turned and ran. He wasn't sure whether or not the talking-snake-beast-thing would try to pursue him--wait, was he still carrying the rose? Mentally Yuri berated himself; he should've dropped it. He was too stubborn though; he still wanted to at least have something to show his father to make the old man marginally happy.
He didn't look over his shoulder. Looking would have just slowed him down. The trapper was aiming to get towards the trees, where big winged things couldn't flay easily and it would be easier to escape sight.

Kuro watched the fear spread across the thief's face. It only made him angrier. Yes he was well aware of how horrid he looked!! He had lived like this for the past ten years. He growled again when the boy ran. The punk was still holding his rose. He ran after him and cut him off at the door, spreading his wings so the boy couldn't pass.
He grabbed the teen by the front of his shirt and lifted him up so his feet dangled six inches off the ground. "I have security cameras everywhere. Even if you ran I'd have the police looking for you for tresspassing in minutes. You're coming with me," he said. He started carrying the boy out of his green houses and into his small mansion.

There is nothing quite like getting pulled off of the ground. Yuri dimly thought that this was probably how puppies felt when their mothers picked them up, limbs dangling and little else holding you up besides the power of something else. It was far from pleasant. It was a bit easier to understand what the best was saying when it was hissing right in front of his face. Well ... it talks like a rich man anyway ... The trapper thought, not thinking that was much of a good thing either, but wiggled a bit uselessly in the creatures grasp as he was carried towards its house. He only stopped, not because struggling was useless, but because he refused to mimic a hooked worm any longer.
What would dad say if he saw me now ... Yuri thought, before worrying about more important things. Like what this thing was going to do with him. "What are you going to do with me?" The half-Russian breathed out, voice not quite as confident as it usually was, but the ... whatever-it-was wouldn't know that. Yuri really hated not having a name to call the beast/person, be it a proper name or just something general like 'dragon' or 'snake.'
Both knife and rose had been dropped when he'd been caught too, leaving the trapper with little more than the clothes on his body, and the cell phone in his back pocket.

Kuro didn't look at Yuri. Instead he looked thoughtful. "I'm not sure yet. It's a tie between making you into fertalizer for my roses or making you into a meal for those black foxes. I saw you eyeing their den. If you harm them you better stop worrying about me and think of what Ayamu will do to you," he said. He smirked and entered the living room.
"Ayamu!! Kohaku!! Come meet our 'guest'!!" he called. Two males came out of the kitchen. One was a white haired man dressed in a very odd way while the other was a very handsome black haired man. Kuro kept Yuri in the air the whole time.
Ayamu blinked at the sight of Kuro holding another boy in the air. "Kuro, put the boy down," he said, holding his temple. Kuro reluctantly dropped Yuri onto the couch.

Ayamu? Are there more of-- this monster?! Yuri somehow convinced himself that he was not afraid, and just looked grim and pissed. Though, in truth, this was all his own fault. Chasing a rumor to try and save his father's busniess; doing so in a way that was, quite frankly, illegal.
He was relived that the other people turned out to be human, at least. And at least he was dropped onto a couch instead of the floor. Yuri sat up, brushing his clothes off, looking defiant and ... confused/cautious at the same time, somehow. Well, he tried to look defiant while feeling confused and edgy. Mentally he was trying to calculate whether or not he'd be able to make it to a window or door to escape before anyone started chasing after him or not.
Technically it had only been a rose after all ... sure, he'd been on private property, but he could've just said he'd gotten lost in the woods.

Kuro looked at Yuri. As if he could read the boy'd mind he said," My entire property is fenced in. Don't think you get off easy by sayin you got lost in the woods," he said. While Kuro spoke Ayamu sat down in an arm chair and Kohaku slowly lowered himself down into one as well.
"Kuro, has it occured to you this boy could be the 'one'," Kohaku said.
Kuro's mouth opened and closed a few times in dumb shock. After a minute he seemed to regain his voice. "A guy? I'm a guy as well!" he said. He wasn't about to mention that he had been watching this partucular boy in his magic mirror. He didn't know why, but he facinated him.
Ayamu kept his eyes on Yuri the whole time. "Why don't you tell us your name? I'm Ayamu, that's Kohaku, and the green one is Kuro, the owner of the manison," he said. Ayamu indicated each person as he spoke and then gave a friendly smile. Kohaku and Kuro were still agruing over whether or not his true love could be a guy.

D**m. Smart monster. Well beast-human thing. Kuro. Yeah. Kuro. The last one would at least work well enough as a proper noun. Yuri got the snake's name before the proper introductions, seeing as the white haired young man referred to the snake beast as such. As for the argument ... Yuri didn't get it at all. The 'one?' What 'one?' The one that would go well with fries on the side?
He turned to the other 'oddish' one, the man dressed strangely with odd-colored hair. "Yuri. Yuri Zhivago," he answered. Why not? He was screwed anyway. Might as well gnaw off his trapped limb and die an honorable death, if a painful one.
The he got a bit of a wile idea. Maybe, while the other two were arguing and the only one that was paying attention to him was the slightly-weird man, he could make a run for it ...
Nah. Kuro is faster than me. And for all I know there's a bear trap by the door or something ... So he sighed and sank in to his seat, watching Kohaku and Kuro argue, suddenly catching that 'true love' 'boy' part and realizing that it might mean ... well ... him. "What ... exactly ... are they arguing about?" He asked the friendly one addressing him.
