Hayagriva walked through the forest. The soft jingle of his golden jewelry accompanied him. He still wasn't used to it. His mother had come to him with it shortly after his ascension to elderhood. He understood that the tradition of his family meant that he needed to garb himself in a more flashy manner now, but it still felt strange to him to show himself off like that.
Strange to think that the ornaments I wear are the part of this change that I think about the most, he thought wryly to himself. The rest of his transformation seemed more natural to him. His size had increased somewhere during his ascension, though he hadn't noticed it happening. He was far bulkier than the average soquili but he still felt as nimble as he ever had. He even thought that he was faster than he used to be. Still, he didn't think about that. He only thought about the gold sparkling at his neck and wondered whether his necklace would get caught in his mane again.
Haya was lost in those very mundane thoughts when he began to draw unknowingly nearer to another soquili. He wasn't paying attention so for the moment still thought that he was alone.

  The masked stallion roamed aimlessly through the land and was still trying to get use to his new adult self. His mask fit him perfectly and he loved hiding behind it most of the time. He could scare anything he wanted away, but it was mostly for show. He would wear it when he wanted to guide others from place to place. It was his most prized possession. Giving a slight snort, he tredded on the newly fallen leaves as lightly as he could since he couldn't stand the crinkling nose they made under his hooves. But then he stopped. He felt a presence nearby causing him to look around with his white eyes beaming through the sockets on the mask. He saw a stallion. Not just any stallion, but this one seemed to be more renown. He looked like he was proud like a matriarch or something.
Curiosity struck him hard and he walked closer to the stallion flicking his mane over his back some. "Hello. You are rather interesting." He said eyeing him from head to toe. At first he stopped at his tail since it was pointy. That made him even more curious. "I'm Hania Shen by the way. If I'm disturbing you then I will simply be on my way." He told him with his voice coming out cold and eerie. He only hoped his mask wouldn't be as intimidating as his voice.
