((Setting: Something like this)) Leo laid on a low tree limb, tail swinging below him. He'd chosen a spot outside of the Omaticaya borders, close to the route he stuck to as a Scout. With the clan more active he didn't want to risk getting caught by others.
Leo was hoping he would meet his mate, Aegle. He hadn't seen her in awhile, and missed the purple and white vixen. He wished she was a part of his clan so he could see her all the time, but he didn't want to pressure her into making a life-changing decision. She would or wouldn't join the clan, and it would be her choice.
On the other hand, it would soon be time to tell Ecthelion about his mate. He was apprehensive about that conversation, knowing how leery Omaticaya was of outsiders. He could only hope their pairing would be looked upon favorably.

 Aegle was heading toward the Tribe lands of Omaticaya. She walked carefully and in no hurry. She had important news to tell her mate that lived in that tribe and this was going to blow his mind. She had a little secret to tell him. She took a deep breath as she got closer.

Leo's head snapped up at a rustling noise. It was only a stray breeze stirring up dried leaves. He sniffed at the breeze as it flowed past him. Instantly his tail was wagging. Aegle! She was definetly near.
The green male hopped off his branch and began to trotting in the direction of the smell, taking long even strides. Running on the ground wasn't as comfortable as going through trees for him, but it was something he was slowly getting better at.

Aegle could hear someone approaching her at an even pace and hoped it was Leo and if not she really wasn't worried. She continued her slow pace letting whoever it was do what they needed.
As she walked she thought over what she would tell Leo and how. She was a bit nervous because she didn't know how he would take this news she was about to give and she knew it would be bad for her to stress herself out.

The trees here were thinner, with no branches that would hold his weight. They were also quite far apart, and of an entirely different kind than those in Omaticaya. It was a beautiful place, but Leo found he preferred his clan lands. But he spotted something that drove the landscape out of his mind.
The purple flowers that covered the ground seemed to reach up to merge with the purple that decorated his mate, making her white and silvers stand out that much more beautifully. "Aegle," he called, tail wagging again as he bee-lined to her.

Aegle looked up when she heard her name be called. She smiled seeing her mate,Leo, heading for her. She stopped walking and sat down in the beautiful purple flowers. Her round tummy looking even rounder now but she didn't know if Leo would notice. She kept her front legs in front of her kind of guarding her stomach. "Hi Leo love,"she called to him softly

Leo slowed his pace and walked the last five feet up to his mate. "It's been awhile, love," he said, nuzzling his mate and inhaling her scent. While he might have been good-natured, if stubborn, only Aegle made his amethyst eyes go so gentle and soft.
He pulled back to take in her face. "How have you been? Anything exciting happen?"

"It has been awhile Leo," Aegle said with a smile. She blushed a bit when he inhaled her scent. She hadn't been around him for awhile and knew he missed her, she just didn't know it was that much.
"I've been ok. Been thinking about heading out to see Dakari."she spoke before going quite for a bit "Um...Leo love.... I have some...um news for you" she said nervously.

Leo pulled back, eyes worried. "What's wrong? Dakari isn't hurt, is he? Or Akela?" He couldn't think of any of other reason why his mate would be so quiet. She was very protective over her children. But she wasn't known for dancing around a subject either. His brow furrowed in his confusion.

Aegle took a deep breath and let it out. "No they are fine far as i know." She said calmly. She looked up at him and dead in the eye while keeping a paw on her tummy. "Leo I'm pregnant. "she said watching him to see how he would react.

A second of silence, two seconds. Five seconds. Ten seconds. Thirty seconds. A minute. It was like time had frozen the green male into place. His eyes never moved, his expression never changed. If it wasn't for that single blink and the gentle rise and fall on his chest one might think he'd fallen asleep standing up with his eyes open or something.
"Pregnant," Leo finally repeated, voice a bit weak. "You're....pregnant?" The green male looked hopelessly lost for one of the first times in his life.

Aegle's hopes started to sink as more time passed before he said anything. She was worried that he would freak but to her it sounded like he wanted them. Her ears drooped and she started to make herself small letting out a small whimper. "Yes I'm pregnant. I'm sorry," She said before starting to get up and leave her tail tucked between her legs. He didn't sound happy at all.

"I'm going to be a.....father?" Aegle hadn't gotten more than a foot away from him when Leo spoke up again. This time his voice wasn't confused so much as it was wondering and filled with awe.

Aegle paused for a second. "Yes Your going to be the father of my babies" she said waiting to see what would happen. "Do you want them?" she asked unsure of what he was thinking

"What do you mean," Leo asked, looking puzzled. "Why wouldn't I want them?" A frown pulled at Leo's face once again as he stepped forward and gently put his head against his mate. What in the world would make Aegle think he wouldn't want these babies? Had he done something wrong?
