 Aaron stretched his wings and allowed his mane to blow in the gentle wind. He looked up into the light blue sky. It was a perfect day for flying Aaron thought. There was a slight wind, not powerful enough to blow him off course but strong enough to cool him down and give him a slight push. The sky was light blue and cloudless. The sun was shining but not so bright as to hurt his eyes and impair his vision. There was plenty of space to take off from where he was and the grass was so soft that he could take a nap in it when he landed. There was a small trickling stream nearby and the birds were softly chirping. It was a perfect day for flying.

LiviLivi yawned, the day was almost to perfect. Bright clear sky's, a cool gentle breeze, and a layer of green fluffy grass to munch on after rain. With this perfect day given to her on a golden platter she had to use it. So she went out hunting for something new, something, or someone, she could learn from. She walked calmly no fear that the day would slip away, and no need to get anywhere at all. During her amble wanderings she saw a stallion who looked like he was about to stretch his wing's and fly. She stopped in her track's and stared. If he was going to fly she wanted to be there to watch him take of. If he did it would be the closest she's ever been to a take off. That knowledge was all that kept her from running over to him and keeping him grounded with her question's. Though if she was being truthful she wished he'd come over instead of fly so she could ask question's. Still momentary glee at the sight of flight was better for her then asking question's she could ask any feathered creature.

Aaron snorted and the grass beneath his hooves blew gently. He pawed the earth and took a starting dash, which always helped him as he had heavier bones than regular wind soquilis. He leapt into the air, opened his wings, and started to (for lack of a better word) flap his wings. He flew up and then in a few circles, but then a noticed what appeared to be a blob from where he was. He lowered himself down until he could clearly see that it was another soquili. He looked up trying to decide whether to see if it needed something or to keep flying. Aaron did a little spin of joy of the wind beneath his wings before carefully landning a few feet from the soquili.
The soquili appeared to have been watching him. The other soquili was a mare that was blue, gray, and purple he observed with a few flecks of red. She had a single unusual blue flower in her mane which matched her deep blue eyes. Aaron nonchalantly bowed at her. "How may I be of assistance miss?" wow what a cheesy thing to say. "That is quite an unusually colored flower in your mane." he said grinning and nodded at the peculiar thing.

Livi watched intently as the stallion across the field prepared him self, at least she was sure that's what he was doing. He started to run and flap his wings like most large birds would before lift of, she noted in her mind. He jumped and was air born. He stayed up to not falling immediately to the floor like she would if she tried jumping into the air. She was awed and amazed like she was every time she saw someone fly into the air. She gazed amazed as she watched him effortlessly glide threw the open sky. Her leg muscles twitched wishing she could jump into the sky and join him and the other flier's she envied.
Much too soon for her liking the winged stallion slowly descended back to earth. The only reason she wasn't completely crest fallen by the spectacle ending so soon was he had started walking toward her. He curiosity was already high over the winged soquili but as he came closer and she saw him better her desire to learn about him had rose ten fold. The long branched out spikes on his head that she originally thought were only an accessory turned out to be horn's those only cerynei males sported. His hooves witch seemed normal from far away where long and clover. and his tail she though was just really short hair was actually a deer's tail. All this would be normal if it was alone, but this soquili was not only a cerynei but a cross with wind as well. She barely held in her flood of question's as he slowly reached ear shot.
Her first question flew out of her mouth after he finished talking, she'd not really heard him the only reason she'd paused was to get all her question's in order, witch was hard seeing as they bounced around her head so full of excitement. "Your a cross between a Cerynei and a wind right? Who was who? Was your mother the wind or the cerynei? Does being a cross hinder flight at all? Is it disadvantiouse in some situations to be both? Do any of your people scorn you for being both? Unicorns are known to some times scorn half breeds but I don't know about wind or cerynei. Do you like flight? Is it invigorating to be in the sky? Is it hard to fly? How does it feel? The wind that is as you fly. Have you ever been scared of falling? How'd it feel when you first got up into the air and flew?" She stopped for barely a second to take in a deep breath and continued again. "How strong are your bones? Are they hollow and light like birds or solid like normals? How strong are your horns? Have you ever used them for fighting? Does flying help with fighting? What's your favorite color? Do you like music? Can you sing? How strong are you? Can you carry thing's while in flight? Do you like berries? Have you ever seen snow? How do you spend your day's? Do you wander a lot? Or do you live near here? Or are you traveling?" She would have continued after another breath but stopped her self before asking if his feather's were warm so he could have time to actually answer some of the questions she gave him.

It was obvious that the young mare wasn't listening to a word he was saying. When she first started to shoot questions at him he tried to answer them, but she just kept adding questions to list and he stopped trying to interupt her. When she was done, or done for the moment at least, he decided to ask her a question before responding to her's.
"You've asked me alot of questions," he said chuckling, "Before I do my best to answer your questions I would like to ask you one of my own. What is your name, miss?"
"Now that I've asked you my questions I will answer your's. Yes, I am part wind and cerynei. My mother was the wind, my father was cerynei. Being a cross of wind and cerynei means that my bones aren't quite as light as a regular wind's, so yes it means I get tired easier, but not too bad I dont think my mother always said I was a natural flyer. On the other hand being part wind helps me on the ground especially when jumping because of my lighter bones." Aaron didn't really like to talk about himself but he continued for the sake of the curious mare. "I love flying, it makes you feel truly free, it makes me feel full of life. It was never hard for me to fly," Aaron said trying to be modest, "Like I said I was a natural flyer. The ind feels cool and like a gentle guiding force. I was never really scared of falling because it flying made me feel powerful. When I first flew I was so excited and tried to fly as high as my mom, even though I couldn't fly quite as high as her and rarely beat her in a race I still felt unconquerable." Aaron took a deep breath and then plunged onward. "Uh, my bones are hollow but not quite as much as a regular wind. My horns are short but as strong as any ceryeni's. No, no real fighting Ive done practice and stuff but not a real fight. Yes flying helps with fighting, it opens up large opportunies for aerial attacks. My favorite color is blue. Yes I like music, but no I can't sing very well," Aaron chuckled. "I suppose I'm strong, I have lean muscles so that helps. I can carry small objects on my back when flying. I've unforunately never seen snow, but I hear it great. I spend my days exporing and stuff. I suppose I wander, I don't really have a specific home I suppose you could call me a nomad. Yes." Aaron thought he answered all the mare's questions, but he couldn't be sure, she had asked so many it was hard to tell. Aaron pawed the ground, and smiled at the mare nervously.

Livi frowned slightly when he asked his question but didn't give her time to respond. She was a learner and getting more information always thrilled her, she could feel the same thrill sharing the information she learned so it wouldn't go to waist in her head, even if the info was only her name. Every scrap of knowledge was a treasure and every question an honor that must be met. The frown grew slightly more but it didn't last longer then that as she started to soak up his every word and learn more and more on the make up of a mixed species.
"Ahi, so flight wasn't hard for you to learn?" she started after he had finished his answers to her questions. "But your speed and height are dampened by your heavier bones. That's interesting. I wonder if a half normal have wind soquili also has heavier bones or if the genes mix in a way that they are born as pure species instead of halves." She closed her eyes in concentration. "Oh ya, my names Livi" She answered his question absently as she thought over her newest question. "How high and fast can you go compared to your mother? How heigh can you jump? what do you eat? does it differ from either of your parents diet?" With a set goal of knowledge in mind Livi only asked the more impotent ones and to make sure that the would all be answered she asked them further apart.
