First off, welcome to "Of Heroes, Villians, and Monsters", or "HVM" for short. Following, you will find our list of Topics Types, followed by our Rules, and Power Level. __________________
The basic lowdown of Topics not marked as Announcements or Stickies...
Quests -
A quest is any attempt by a party of people to travel through a land and discover, find, or destroy something. Quests can be formed by ANYONE in the Guild. You make your own post with the heading [QUEST], a lovely and original title, then a list of how many spots are open. Quests, unlike Missions, must have a limit!
Example of a title: [QUEST] "For the Holy Grail" (No Spots Open)
Missions -
A Mission is a paid adventure to discover, find, or destroy something. Missions may only be made by CREW or above. They are open to as many people as the said CREW set as the limit. They can also have no limit. Also, a Mission can be paid by either true Gaia Gold (On the corner of your screen right now), or IC RP Gold, which is intangible to us, but real to our characters. These types of Topics bear the title [MISSION] and then a creative title, and how many spots are open.
Example of a title: [MISSION] "Kill the Bandits" (3 Spots Open)
Duels -
A Duel is a fight between two people on pre-agreed terms. The Two people must bear the same level of power (See Power Level below). These must be made in a new Topic to be legal, and not fought in an already made topic. They bear the title [DUEL], a creative name, and a listing of the fighters involved. They can fight for gold, glory, god, of girls (or boys I suppose). Any MEMBER can make a Duel, if the two challengers agree.
Example of a title: [DUEL] Lightning vs. Clown (Bolt vs. Joker)
Battle -
Battles are unique. It is a fight between a vast number of invaders against the people of this facility. Battles bear the title [BATTLE] and a creative title. There is no limit to the amount of peole that can join. These types of tpoics may only be made by VICE CAPTAINS or the CAPTAIN, as they effect all other topics in this place. War is hell.
Example of a title: [BATTLE] Demon Invasion!
Event -
Events are anything from a Christmas Ball to a Celebnration Party for defeating an oncoming horde of Goblins. These can only be made by CAPTAIN or VICE CAPTAINS. Enjoy yourself at these, and get to know other users. There is no limit to the amount of Users that can enter into an event. You may even fight in an event, but I must warn you that it may result in a duel or even the death of your character.
Example of a title: [EVENT] Goblin Defeat Celebration Party!
Miscellaneous -
All other types of Topics are under this category. They need no bracket marker, and it is not supposed to have one. These places are places where people live their lives. Only CREW may make IC Miscellaneous Topics. MEMBERS may make OOC Miscellaneous Topics.
Example of a title: The Fulmine Bar & Grill __________________
[1/30/06] - Added EVENT type of Topic.

Rules & Regulations
1- Have fun. This is for Roleplaying, and is not real. Too much OOC arguing for no reason, or instigating an OOC flame, are grounds for banning.
2- Obey the Crew. They are Crew because they are leaders. When they tell you something OOC, Know they mean it. If you disobey a Crew too many times, said Crew has the right to ban you or delete your posts.
3- Obey the TOS. This means no cybering, scamming, hacking, etc. Anyone caught doing so will be immediately banned and reported to a Moderator.
4- Stay in your Power Level. A Class 1 Magic-User may not fight a Class 3 Warrior. It is unfair. Stay near to your level, and you stay peaceful. That isn't to say, "don't have fun". Instead, have fun but play fair. If someone weaker then you declares intent to kill you, ICly, then feel free to exercise your power. However, be mindful of the next rule.
5- Character Killing is Prohibited unless agreed to before a duel, by both characters.
6- Tolerance OOC is required. Do not discriminate for any reason OOCly. IC, your character can be a member of the KKK for all I care, but if you dare to act that way towards a real human being, you will be banned immediately.
7- Seperate IC and OOC Use brackets "(())" or "[]", use italics, etc. I don't care, as long as you seperate IC and OOC. It makes posts more legible. Also, if someone is cruel to you IC doesn't mean they feel that way OOC. Do not carry feelings IC over to OOC.
8- No Godmodding. Simply put.. give people a chance to respond to your actions. Don't be Ms. Cleo and know what someone is doing by OOC, IC; Don't automatically hit with your attacks; Don't overpower anyone with ungodly amounts of magical ability, etc. I will be a bit lenient on the power issue... but you better obey #4 and 5.

Power Level
Magic User If your main attack powers are Magic, you fall under this category.
Class 0 - Class 0 Magic Users are prohibited. These have no weakness and can not use up their energy.
Class 1 - Anything Near to a Divine Being. They can cause devistating attacks with a movement of their hand. They can exaust their energy supply after a while, even though it may take a long time.
Class 2 - Any Highly trained Mage or demonic/angelic being. They need to chant or charge their attacks to use them. Their energy can be used up.
Class 3 - Any creature or monster born with inate magical abilities, that can not be hightened. These skills may not be as powerful as a Class 2 Magic User, but they are still effective. These powers may or may not be exausted.
Class 4 - A beginning mage or magician. They have just begun training in these arts, and can barely use them. Warrior If your main attack power is physical, weapons, or stealthiness, you fall under this category.
Class 0 - These are the warriors that move faster then light speed and can hit people fifty times in a single post. Class 0 Warriors are not permitted.
Class 1 - These are the fighters with the secret skills of their ancient clan. They are the undisputed masters of their weapons and attacks. Their skill with weapons and fists are nearly as devistating as those Class 1 Magic Users. This is because they can use their life force as attacks, and can dodge most attacks.
Class 2 - These warriors are skilled with a weapon, yet can not properly fight a magic-user. They may be lax in their training, but they still possess the power to slice an opponent's head off with ease.
Class 3 - These fighters use their body of weapons to disable or kill an opponent. However, they tire easier then a Class 2, and may not train as often as they should.
Class 4 - A White belt or a beginner in any martial art. These can barely weild weapons and it is very hard to kill an opponent for them.
Spell-Warrior If your main attack power is both physical weapons and magical abilities, you fall under this category.
To properly describe your character.. in addition to your class include the letter "M","W", or "B"... "M" for "Magic focus", "W" for "Weapon focus", and "B" for "Balanced". This describes best how your Spell Warrior is.
Class 0 - These are the warriors that move faster then light speed and use powers that only gods can use. Class 0 Spell-Warriors are not permitted.
Class 1 - These are the Spell-Warriors with incredible strength and agility. Their magical skills are unsurpassed by any others. They are masters to the arts and deadly to come upon.
Class 2 - These Spell-Warriors are skilled with a weapon and magic. They may be lax in their training, but they still possess the power to blast away weaker men.
Class 3 - These Spell-Warriors can use magic to a powerful ability. They also focus on training with their weapon of choice, balancing the two as they see fit.
Class 4 - A novice Spell-Warrior. They are beginners, yet still trained enough to cut off a monster's head or shoot the mage's favorite: a fireball.
You may also be a Non-Combatant. Which means you do not fight and your occupation reflects that.
