Pure oxygen is actually poisonous, we need hydrogen and nitrogen too?

Yes, not only is pure oxygen poisonous... its highly flammable. A single spark or flicker will ignite it. Point and case... Apollo 1.
Our atmosphere is about 78 percent Nitrogen... 20 percent Oxygen. The hydrogen part... is less than 0.000055 percent.

Most of our atmosphere is nitrogen. In reality only 20% or something like that is oxygen. Pure oxygen would overload our mitochondria in the cells and kill them.
