Heaven-Leigh walked around the edge of the forest near the clearing, deep in thought. Today was a day of giving thanks, and everyone seemed to have something to be thankful for.
Leigh knew she had lots to be thankful for, but she still felt like something was missing. If she had her way, she wouldn't be walking around the edge of the forest by herself. Sure, there had been other soquili she had met on her adventures, but none that she could call a friend. A friend. That's what was missing. She had Abdiel of course, but he was perfectly content to wander off alone on his own and didn't seem to think Heaven-Leigh worthy enough to accompany him. Hmph. She snorted, sending a visible puff of breath through the chilly air.
Twigs snapped underneath her hooves as she walked, and an unusually large one caused her to stumble. She wasn't paying attention to where she was walking, due to the fact that she was deep in her thoughts.
She wished she had a friend she could share all this with. A friend that would help her, or that she could help, or who would think her worthy enough to go on adventures with...

Chatella had been walking around all night on her lonesome. Deep inside she knew she wished she had someone to share her time with on this day. She had overheard that today was supposed to be a day to be thankful and spend with your family. Thanksgiving was what they had called it and that she remembered since it sounded like a wonderful day. Except Chatella had no family that she knew of, no one to spend today with. Her assistant Midnight a bat on the other hand had tons of family, and so she had let him go in order to spend some time with them. He did deserve it after all and she knew that, he was always there when she needed him. He never left her side so when he asked to leave tonight she couldn't say no, despite how much she wanted too. If only she had a friend maybe then she wouldn't feel so lonely she thought in her soul. A friend the kind of person who wouldn't mind spending time with you on a day like this...
Though as she continued to walk though these woods, tonight felt like it would never end. It was for sure the loneliest day she had ever had and it wasn't that enjoyable. "If only I had some one I could help," she thought deep in her mind. Since when she helped people she was always happy. Maybe thats what she had to be thankful for...she wondered as she walked. An then she heard it, a large thud. Some people may have missed the noise but she heard it. It sounded as if someone had stumbled on their way! "Oh my they might be hurt," she whispered under her breath really worried, "I have to help them!" Everything else on her mind vanished as she yelled out in the direction of the stumble, "Hello, are you alright!?"

Heaven-Leigh grumbled as she straightened herself up, this time making sure to watch where she was walking. Just as she had gotten up, she heard a voice call out.
"Huh?" She turned her head to look around and saw a black mare with long, red, flowing hair. She had what appeared to be leg warmers, just like Leigh did.
'Great,' she though. 'I'm always falling in front of someone.'
"I'm fine," she replied, but as she looked down she saw a little trickle of red leaking from her right leg. She'd also ripped her warmers again. "Or, I will be..." she added.
She looked around for someone else, thinking that most everyone would be with family or friends today. This mare however was alone, just like she was. Maybe she didn't have anyone to go on adventures with today either. She didn't want to assume anything though.
"Thanks though. My name's Heaven-Leigh. You can just call me Leigh if you want, most others I've met do."

As Chatella came closer to the person who fell she noticed a pink mare, with what looked to be all the colors of the rainbow in her hair. It was like a flowing sea of colors and stars in Chatella's eyes, it was simply beautiful. As she glanced down towards the mare's legs she noticed what looked to be leg warmers, similiar to what she had on her own feet. So she wasn't the only one with these things, that made her rather happy. Though as she began to look closely at them, she noticed something red like dripping from her leg. This something most definitely did not appear to be a part of the design.
That was when she was quickly reminded she knew she had a job to do. Someone was hurt and it was her job to help fix them up! As the mare began to speak Chatella gave a nice kind smile, "Nice to meet You Leigh, I'm Chatella. I heard your fall from where I was walking and I just came over to make sure you weren't badly injured." As soon as she spook she began to bend to the ground to look at the red stuff dripping from the leg warmers. "You know if you'd like I could wrap that up for yah? Since it doesn't appear to be to bad at all and then that way your leg warmers don't get wrecked," She said after she had examined it for a minute.

"Chatella? Yeah, nice to meet you. You heard me fall?" She sounded a little surprised. It must have been loud. She sighed. Oh well, no sense in worrying about it. This girl seemed nice, and now she wouldn't be lonely anymore.
She smiled and was just about to tell Chatella that she would be fine without a wrap, that it was just a scrape and that it would heal up in no time, but at the mention of not getting her warmers wrecked her face lit up. "Yeah, I would like that!" Besides, Chatella seemed eager to help, it seemed to make her happy. Or maybe she was just really nice. Either way, Leigh was lucky to have met her.
"Thank you," she added with a smile.

"Yah I did, but then again I have really good hearing." Chatella said with a slight smile. Since she already knew she tended to hear things other would miss. She had found this out when midnight accidentally dropped a needle on the ground. and she had heard it fall before it even hit the ground. Some may think that it is kinda of strange, her hearing. Though she just figured that was part of being nurse, you just get some super great hearing to tell when people are injured.
As soon as she heard Leigh would like her leg wrapped. She bent down closer to Leigh's leg and took out some bandage wraps, from the kit Midnight had left her. She placed the bandage on the ground, as she carefully moved the leg warmer just enough so that she could wrap the injured area. As she picked up the bandage from the ground, and began to wrap the leg. She spoke with a smile, "Well I'm glad since your leg warmers look far to beautiful to get wrecked because of a silly fall."
The more Chatella smiled the more she began to realize, that this mare seemed really nice. An in a very strange occurrence she all saw that, she wasn't all alone anymore. She now had someone to talk with, someone to make her feel less lonely, and best of all someone to help fix up. "Oh no problem at all, I'm just glad I could help." she replied as she began to finish up wrapping Leigh's leg.

Leigh watched as she wrapped her leg, being careful of her leg warmers. She had even complemented them. She thought they were nice, even though they were all ripped up.
Leigh smiled. "Thanks. They are my favorite leg warmers. Well, I've had them almost my whole life. They are a little worse for wear, but I just think that makes them all the better. You've got some really nice ones too I see." She nodded towards Chatella's leg warmers, admiring them.
After she was done wrapping her leg she lifted it and flexed her ankle back and forth. It was feeling much better already and she guessed it would probably be completely healed by morning, what with her fast healing ability.
"I guess I'm all fixed up!" she said, beaming at Chatella. "I was just walking...actually looking for someone. What about you, where are you headed?"

Chatella was beginning to really enjoy her new company, maybe today wouldn't be as lonely as she thought it would. Then again it wasn't often that she met others with leg warmers like her. As a light smile came to her face, she finished up her wrapping on Leigh's leg.
"They are? Well I can definitely see why! Though your whole life...? Oh my that is such a long time to wear something. I mean I don't even really remember when I got mine," she admitted honestly as she continued to speak and wrap at the same time. "Though thank yah! These leg warmers are my favorite ones, they help to keep me warm when I'm searching the night for injured people." As she finished those words she giggled slightly, since that was the truth at all but a little funny to say out loud.
As Leigh stood up and tested the wrap Chatella was happy it was helping. "Well the wrap looks great and I think you are! That is unless anything else on you hurts." That was when she stopped speaking and listened as the other mare said something about looking for someone. Who on earth could she be looking for on a day like this she wondered silently.
"Oh wow have you found that person yet? An as for me I was just looking for someone to talk with, so I wouldn't have to be lonely today," she said with a comforting yet nervous smile upon her face.

Leigh gave Chatella a friendly smile as she shook her head. "Nothing else hurts, thank you." She admired Chatella's leg warmers, which were nice and clean compared to hers. "So you just like to help others in need? Is that what you do for fun?"
Heaven-Leigh thought this was a very admirable trait. Nothing like that had ever really occurred to her before, even though she herself probably had the means to help people with her horn. The only problem was, she had never used any healing powers before and she wasn't sure if she knew how.
Leigh turned back to Chatella and thought it would be a shame if she was lonely today. Leigh didn't want to be lonely either. "I was just looking for a friend. If you want someone to talk with, then I guess it's lucky that we bumped into each other!"

Chatella nodded and smiled, "Well I am glad nothing else is injured on you, and yes I do. Though I'd say it's more like a fun job to be honest." Which was the full truth since she had never really done this just for fun, it was more like it was a calling that came to her since she was a foal. Helping people in need was just second nature to her, and so she just decided to do as a lifestyle.
"Do you have anything like that? A job or a hobby you do often?" she asked kindly. Wondering if she was one of the only ones out there who did stuff like this. Maybe this person had something they did in their days like she did, who knew she thought silently to herself.
The moment she heard the mention of a friend Chatella couldn't help but giggle and smile so brightly. "Oh really? Wow, well I guess it is! Now neither one of us have to be lonely. Though I would love someone to talk with since I have no where else I need to be."

A hobby? "Falling down?" Leigh said, the first thing that came to mind. She was joking of course, and she laughed. "Nah, I guess just exploring and stuff. I haven't really found a hobby or anything like that...that's really nice though, it seems like a good thing to do." Leigh wondered if perhaps she should find a hobby, if adventuring wasn't an acceptable one.
Leigh smiled and asked, "Then if that's the case...want to go exploring with me?"
