Lusine hadn't gone far, but she had gone far enough. In usual fashion she had gone off where she wanted to go, having ignored her fathers cautions about wandering off alone out of sight. But she had stubbornly gone off, mostly because she had been put out when her father had steered her and her siblings away from here earlier. Besides she wanted to meet a new friend, she never met anyone hanging out with them and so she thought she would go looking for a friend. She wasn't sure why but something told her there was a friend to be found around here, though that could be her vivid imagination, and she had been well into daydreaming when they had passed here earlier. And as she wandered around she thought more and more she had been daydreaming, the thing she thought she saw shining was no where to be found. But that was no big loss, she flopped down by a bush and rested her chin on her front legs, her eyes drooping a little as she was soon off in some imagined adventure.

Orphee pranced along the edge of the woods, talking and giggling to himself. He had to do it, since everyone basically avoided him. It wasn't that he was wierd or scary or anything, he just asked a ton of questions. He didn't understand why anyone didn't like his curiousness, or his questions. So here he was, playing with himself, on the edge of the woods.
After a bit of prancing, and digging up earth with his hooves, he heard something that made his ears flick and his curiousity peak. He creeped towards the sound, scared that it might be something that would eat him, like that skinwalker he'd met.
Peeking around a bush, he came across the sound: a young filly, lying on the ground, snoring. He smirked a bit, hearing a filly snore. Then he blinked, she had long ears, and spikes on her hooves, and his ears pricked forward as his curiousity grew. Quietly, he stepped forward and sniffed at her long ears.

Lusine woke as her ear started to twitch, not totally sure why it was doing so at first. Her mind foggy with sleep and the dreams she had indulged in. Looking confused untill her sleepy eyes lifted to find a black foal sniffing at her twitching ear, though that's not what she saw initially. Jumping back with a startled cry her eyes focussed on the dark foal, her ear still twitching from the sniffing.
Eyeing the young male cautiously, noting the catlike patterns in his pelt, scanning over him for any signs he was dangerous or a skinwalker. Getting to her hooves and facing him, her stance set. "Why were you sniffing my ear? Did you want to scare me to death?" Giving a little snort, her ear still twitching as she lowers her head rubbing it against her leg. She knew she had big ears, but then so did her dad, having that in common with her parents didn't make her feel so out of place, even though her siblings both had smaller ears.
Looking back at him when she had her ear back under control, the twitching stopped thanks to the good rub it had received. Otherwise she had not moved, she was stood facing the male foal.

Orphee blinked, his mouth forming a small 'o' at the sound of her squeal. He hadn't meant to scare her, and he couldn't think of anything he did that would scare her. He looked at her as she spoke, her spikes, her purple, but his eyes always went back up to her ears. He found he was mesmerized by them, that he'd do anything to touch them again. Blinking at the strange feelings and thoughts, he shook his head and snorted, trying to be rid of them.
"Your ears are special.......they're....pretty...," he admitted with a small blush. "I've never seen anything like them and I got curious. I didn't mean to scare you or anything..." Again, not giving any regard to personal space, and letting his desires overtake him, he stepped near her again, reaching up to rub her ear with his nose and he nipped the tip gently, not knowing the affectionate nature of the gesture.

Lusine watched him, it seems she had startled him about as much as he had her. Still stood where and how she had been, she wasn't one for backing up or giving up, even if it was pure foolishness sometimes. Her face going pink under her purple when he said her ears were special. Different she had herd before, odd, funny heck her own family mostly ignored them because they weren't odd or unique there... But never special, what made him think that they were anyway?
Opening her mouth to ask him just that her face feeling like it was burning from the complements. Not managing to say a word though, heat feeling like it flooded over her body as she blushed more.... He was nuzzling her ears, and it felt nice.... and odd... Odd in a way that made her want more nuzzles like that... Her ears twisting and flattening against her head, tilting it back a little so they were out his reach, at least if her didn't move they would be. She wasn't sure why but having someone she didn't know make nice feelings like that was weird, so she dipped her head and gave him a small nudge in the side to make him back off a little. Still a pink colour all over as she was still blushing badly. "Who are you?" Still standing her ground though she was figiting a little from the nuzzles.

He loved the feel and smell of her. He loved her different ears, her spikes. Feeling her soft ears against his sensative, velvet nose was like heaven. But it was broken as she nudged him back, and he blinked back to reality enough to hear her question.
"Oh, I'm Orphee." He chirrupped, a wide smile breaking out on his face and his hooves pawing the ground in a prance. "What's your name? Where'd you get your ears? Do you wanna play?" His ears flicked as each question was spit out, his short tail flicking rapidly back and forth.

Her ears perked up again once he was a little distance away, her colour returning to a more normal purple. Looking at him and straightening a little, now sue was not longer blushing she was more her stubborn self, but not quite as annoying as she could be. He had made her feel all mushy with his nuzzling an he had answered her question even though it came with more of his own, but this was oddly endearing.
"I'm Lusine.... My ears are like my dads....." Thinking over the last question, feeling herself smile, her large ears fully perking up as her smile brightens. "I'd love to play! What game?" Looking much cuter with the smile and the perky ears, any more excited and she would probably be wiggling and giggling. As it was she just smiled at this odd male foal, glad of a friend that didn't seem to want to tease her like her siblings did. Not that they were mean, after all they all had something to tease the other about, things could just get out of hand at times.

"Oh," he started lamely "I love your ears...ah...I mean I like them~! And....I like your name..." He looked down, slightly disappointed at his lame compliments, before he saw a grasshopper and returned to his hyper self. "ABUGABUGABUG~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
He pounced after it, half forgetting about Lusine, but one pounce sent him tumbling into Lusine, knocking her so her side rubbed with his and his eyes bugged at the sensation, "A...ah.....tag, you're it~!" And with that he got up and started to run, half to play, and half so that Lusine wouldn't see his bright red face.

Lusine's face went all warm again, it didn't matter to her that he had replaced love with like, it all meant the same thing to her really, but then she was young enough that there wasn't much of a difference in the two. Watching bounce around was funny though, having thought he was freaking out till he pounced the bug, having been surprised at that.
Her giggles were cut short though as he bumped into her, gasping at the brush of his fur against hers, shivering and instinctively shaking to put the hair back in place. "HEY!" Calling after him as he runs off. "No fair!" Running after him, having fallen behind because of his bump and her shaking, wondering it it was deliberate as a way to cheat, though part of her doubted that.

Orphee was entirely confused. He'd never gotten shocked the way he did when he touched this certain filly. And why did he feel so nervous, he was never nervous~! But he was in a race now, he was playing, he was in his element....he ran into a tree.
"Ahhhhhhg," He groaned pitifully, before looking over his shoulder with unfocused eyes, seeing Lusine catching up. 'I hope she didn't see that,' he thought to himself as he scrambled to his feet, stumbling forward to try to resume his part of the race. Though no one had ever made an end to this race......

Lusine had not long gotten started chasing after him, and though she missed seeing him hit the tree she did pause long enough to wonder why he was getting to his feet again, that was odd. But he was soon bounding off again which had her chasing after him. "Where are we racing too?" Her breath wasn't running out but she was running as fast as she could to catch up and win the race if she could so she didn't have much air to talk. Though as she ran she became glad he was in front as he stupid ears were flopping around in an annoying way, though others would have thought it cute. Her and her siblings had all received a trait from her father and she often felt bad for him, especially as he had them all. To her thinking her sister had the easiest one to live with.

He hadn't thought of that, and he slowed down. But as is his nature, he lost track of his thoughts and just started trotting aimlessly, humming and giggling to himself. Though suddenly, and uncharacteristically, he turned serious, turning to Lusine and looking her in the eye. "We'll always be friends, right?" He felt a strong and pressing urge to know he wouldn't lose her. He didn't know why, but he knew it was important.
